I'm so happy to see these videos ♥ I'm a student and teacher of Physical theatre and this helps a lot to remember all the things we did in University :D

I like how you have the students pick a partner but then have them decide on who is A and B...then put A and B in a group. This prevents the students from always working with their friends and puts them in another group. Which they'll eventually become hip to...but honestly too much to think about if you're having fun. Dope.

A note to other teachers/youth workers: I personally don't think it's appropriate for teachers to suggest students massage the shoulders of the student in front of them. Unfortunately, something like that would be seen as a safeguarding issue. It is almost impossible to know which students have vulnerabilities that might make this a potentially emotionally challenging situation for them. I'm sure you know your group, just thought that was worth mentioning. I love your videos, thanks for sharing them. x

Thank you so much for your comment. This is a long-standing group that I have known for a long time but I completely agree that it would not be appropriate for all groups and, if working with a new group or if you have any concerns; what I would suggest is that, instead of asking the groups to put hands on shoulders, have them create a tableau (on a theme of your / their choice) and once created, ask them to spin around the room, close their eyes and then return to their exact position in the tableau (with eyes still closed)!
