Okay so I like this one... the kitchen seems a bit darkish without any natural light, but I don't hate it. I love the oven/microwave setup. The master bedroom seems a bit small, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker. I definitely LOVE the outdoor fireplace / sitting area.

First off, thank you so much Chance for what you do!! My wife and I truly appreciate it!! Secondly, this is absolutely gorgeous!! My wife and I are both 51 and our 22 year old has moved on their own, so it’s just us and our three rescues. We live in Myrtle Beach, SC and have a two level stick built (I guess is what you would call it) home in a large development with over 2,000 houses. I have health issues and the upstairs is somewhere I can’t even get to so it’s only used when people visit. We have considered moving and buying some land that’s a little more just us and not tons of neighbors. We owned a brand new single wide back in 1989 when we first got married and it was nice, it was loaded at the time for what you could get, I think it cost us $39,000. Anyways since then we haven’t had any. We feel like in this day and age we might get a better built home going with a single or double wide or a modular, than the stick built homes going up super fast here!! I was wondering if you or anyone that sees this comment has any plus or minus info as far as doing this over buying a stick built home already on some land or having one built. Thank you in advance for any and all information from anyone that helps out!
Realizing it''s a year later but.....I have been looking at houses online for at least three years now because the housing market is a real good indicator of the economy. Here's my take on modular vs stick built: Both types of homes now days are built basically the same way material wise. The biggest difference being modulars are built inside out of the weather were as stick built homes are prone to the elements. I have checked into this fact because I wanted to know. Some of the modular homes are better insulated than stick built homes. With that being said, here's my biggest issues with modular homes. You have to purchase the land to sit modular homes on were as your stick built home comes with the land, (unless you plan to build and not buy). This is a major point when you consider the price of land ranges anywhere between $8,000 upto $150,000 per acre depending on where you live and where the land is located. If that land has not already been prepared for a home to either be built on it or a modular home to be placed on it, then you will have other added costs such as running water, electric, and sewer lines on the property. You might also have to hire someone to clear the property of trees, stumps, etc. and possibly have to have the area for the home leveled out. All of this could cost upwards of $20,000 or more. The starting price of this modular home is $245,000, (low ball prices follows), $8,000 for land + $10,000 for running water, electric, and sewer, + $15,000 for land clearing and leveling= That brings the basic price to $278,000 before taxes, finance charges, county/city fees, changes to the modular home, etc.By the time all the extra costs are added on, you could be looking at more than $300,000 for this modular home before financing. Also, you will have to find out if the property is zoned for mobile or modular homes. Some cities/states will not allow these types of homes even if you plan to place the home on a permanent foundation. Modular homes do not grow in value the same way stick built homes do, so if there comes a time you want to sell your home, then you most likely will not get a return on your investment or what payoff is. What I have found is most times you can purchase a turn key, very nice already built home for less than what it will cost you to purchase a mobile or modular home.

More storage space than you can shake a stick at. All the bedrooms are spacious. Love seeing a bench with the master shower. The porches are great. Outdoor fireplace too. And that huge utility room is something to toot your horn about. Room for a freezer too!

Love love love that laundry room. The placement of the water heater and furnace is amazing. In my house the know on the door going into laundry room from kitchen hits my dryer and my washer sticks out in door way going into master bathroom.
I love this home, the cabinet and floor colors are spot on. I don't want a window in my pantry, so switch that up and put the bath with the window. I love that utility room, size is awesome, plenty of room for folding clothes. Love the master suite, and walk-in closet. The only complaint would be the double doors into the master bath. I'd go with a single door and make it a pocket door.
Yes! I love his spontaneity! His tours are the most fun! And, did you notice he was so busy looking for the half bath that he didn't even say the word pantry? LOL, I'm saying, Pantry, Chance! Pantry! Wasn't dance worthy, but it was pretty nice. I love all the storage in that house! They made great use of space.

I like this one a lot. Especially the porch and fireplace and I love the arched doorways or whatever you call them going into separate rooms. I love the 2 doors, wider entry to the master bath. I wonder if you can get one with a roll-in shower instead and redo the water closet a bit. I love the tub also. I can actually see myself and my family in this one. Thanks, Chance.
hard to do this home justice, but i think you nailed it. love the shape - so much more interesting that a plain square or rectangle. the black railings and windows add the wow factor. layout is perfect; nice when the master closet is not in the bathroom. and chance, what more did that pantry need to earn a dance? walk-in AND a window. only two minor changes that i would make: front close, and a flat island - move the sink. i've said it before, but you are the absolute best in the biz; you really raise the bar for those thinking about doing something similar, whether it be tiny homes, rvs, etc
This has to be one of my favorite homes you have shown, I love the rounded doorways, the wooden shelving and all the great open space, perfect for a small family. Also great for entertaining the two fireplaces are great. I’d like to see the back porch be screened in, that’s my only change I’d like made. And by the way that was a huge pantry and really deserved a dance. I think if you have to live in a mobile home this triple wide is your best option.

I really, really liked this home! I liked the floor plan and all the storage. Even the outside is very pretty! So many homes have more than one kind of siding, which I personally don’t like at all. God bless you Chance! Good job! ⭐️

I like this one a lot. Especially the porch and fireplace and I love the arched doorways or whatever you call them going into separate rooms. I love the 2 doors, wider entry to the master bath. I wonder if you can get one with a roll-in shower instead and redo the water closet a bit. I love the tub also. I can actually see myself and my family in this one. Thanks, Chance.

hard to do this home justice, but i think you nailed it. love the shape - so much more interesting that a plain square or rectangle. the black railings and windows add the wow factor. layout is perfect; nice when the master closet is not in the bathroom. and chance, what more did that pantry need to earn a dance? walk-in AND a window. only two minor changes that i would make: front close, and a flat island - move the sink. i've said it before, but you are the absolute best in the biz; you really raise the bar for those thinking about doing something similar, whether it be tiny homes, rvs, etc

This has to be one of my favorite homes you have shown, I love the rounded doorways, the wooden shelving and all the great open space, perfect for a small family. Also great for entertaining the two fireplaces are great. I’d like to see the back porch be screened in, that’s my only change I’d like made. And by the way that was a huge pantry and really deserved a dance. I think if you have to live in a mobile home this triple wide is your best option.
The only thing missing was the pantry dance😂 and a den, otherwise really gorgeous home!

I love that home I remember you showing one like it I believe it was blue and white loved it with the blue and white love it even better with the all white and brown shutters the only thing I would do with this home is the side porch I absolutely love it but I would put it also utility room and make that side porch the fourth bedroom with a full bath like you had mentioned but definitely with put the side porch like off the utility room that would be perfect that would be my home
