i tell you something
you (the presenter of the video) deserve all the success the world can offer. you have sincerely and open heartedly offered as much information as possible to help anyone with a dream. we know f1 is competitive all the way from secretary to driver, (as it should be), but you have given everyone a glimmer of hope. this is why you deserve the success.
this video is a rare gem of info that is otherwise hard to access in one place on the internet (if anywhere at all) and again why you deserve the success.
best luck to you on your job hunt
p.s. your comment on red bull and their financial acumen, or lack there of, is spot on. it is the one team, if i was offered a job, would not work for. but that's just me.
good luck to all.
Thank you so much mate! That's incredibly kind of you to say, I simply want people to realise it is possible 🙌🙌
I'm a Brazilian computer engineering student, I'm going to become a data scientist and hope to one day have a job at f1
Awesome! I hope it works out for you 🙌
I had an interview with Williams this year for an internship. Even the interview was an achievement in itself. They eventually gave it to someone with more experience. Really have to bring your 'A' game
I never thought I could get a job in f1 with my legal background…
Awesome video!
You definitely can! And go for it I reckon 🙌
Wow what a video! I’m so gutted as I want to part of motorsport/formula 1, although I failed engineering at gcse as I had a awful teacher. I’m studying a level Sport sociology and geography currently and would love a job, even if I wasn’t payed I’d do a job, just travelling and working with these athletes(including the pit people), working as a TEAM is a clear dream of mine, I regret not studying engineering at a level as it would be a perfect way to this job but any tips as I’m 16 and want to be in formula 1 etc would truly be helpful but this video is class!
@@msln_0624 i know this reply is late. But if engineering is your passion, I would advise you to study engineering at university with a foundation year! Some universities will offer foundation years that will teach you the maths and physics needed. You’ll study for an extra year, but it’s definitely worth it! Definitely research it if youre still interested :))
@@msln_0624 if your 16 like me i think you still have a chance because remeber most schools don't offer engineering GCSE and many colleges ad especially sixth forms don't offer engineering A-level so people from there would just do a certain type of engineering as a degree in uni. They would just usually do physics and maths as an alevel but as Stephanie said you can do them classes at uni!
I have always wanted to but the opportunities for Americans don’t really exist yet aside from volunteer work at the tracks here. Maybe with the newfound popularity that will improve.
Yes I really hope we can begin to make it easier for Americans to get involved 🙌
Move
Probably because if going through a high speed corner the g force would instantly kill them due to their 'high mass' 😂
Joking btw
If you want to work for a Motorsport team but don’t want to leave the states try to get a job in NASCAR or IndyCar. It might require a move but it’s slightly better than moving out of the country.
Thank you so much for making this video, its exactly the kind of advices that ive been looking for. Im a photographer/videographer who'd die for a chance to work in f1, but i had no idea how to go about finding a job in f1. Hopefully Ill get to make my dreams come true with these tips. Thanks again man :)
That's great to hear! Make sure to let me know if you have any other questions 🙌
best of luck. start small, get your photos out there. if they are good (which am sure they are), they WILL get noticed ❤
2:25 obviously you should go through every detail of every job in F1. it would be the best video on youtube
That would be quite an undertaking! Possibly an idea for future videos 👀
Lovely video. Gives a good overview.
All the best!!!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this❤
Always thought of doing a job in F1 the guide is r really helpful thanks.
Nice! Let me know if you have any questions 🙌
Apply for any job in an F1 team in the field you currently work and you can be able to get interviews and possibly a job offer if you know how to communicate your expertise.
Super informative video💯...keep it up
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed 🙌
Love your casio watch!
I do too!
What a class video!!
Thanks for watching!
Amazing video. Something that I wanted for years. What about sales roles? where would someone who had 5 years of enterprise B2B sales experience and wanted to get into F1? Much appreciated for the video.
I assume this is Joshua, I've replied to your DM 👍
Thank you so much for the video, I learnt so much. My question is, how hard is to get a job at any formula 1 team in the human relations part, i mean ofc every team needs peoples to work there, but how hard is to get into there. (Sorry if a made any spelling mistake, my english is not the best)
Thanks for watching! In reality, any job in Formula 1 is very difficult to get as it's very popular 👍
Hi! Thank you for your video. I live and worked the F1 in Vegas. Guest Services was my role. I enjoyed it very much. I think I might be hooked. I love to travel. What can I do to be a part of the F1 team. Would it be Hospitality? I do NOT have a degree and NO experience. I am currently working for the Nascar Experience helping peoples dreams come true : )
Perfect video !!! I found all over the internet !!!!..
I want to become a Data Analyst in F1 or for F1 teams. Can you please guide me. It would be a great help. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely! Send me a DM to @theracingluke! 👍
I’m a CNC machinist at a major F1 parts supplier (ie the entire field) we are hiring if your any good, and really it’s not that exciting work, a bit of billet is a bit of billet
Awesome stuff! Awesome to hear 🙌
I plan on getting a degree in pure maths, I can't do engeneering as I didn't take physics at alevel (kinda regretting it now). Are there any jobs that require a degree in just regular pure maths?
hey :) i just finished school and i’m planning to study mechanical engineering.
i was thinking about doing a dual study at audi or mercedes to get practical experience.. do you think that makes sense or is a normal study at a university considered higher?
I have a similar question but relating to cadetships
hi!! i am still in school, and i’m not sure i quite understood, do you know which job/jobs you listed that would use electrical engineering, such as circuit board and other electric stuff?
So that would be an engineer working back at the factory. Have a look online, type in 'f1 electrical engineer' and you should see various details 👍
Hopefully i get a job in an F1 team. Idk if it's possible through cognizant or oracle though
That could definitely be a route in, it's all about making contacts in the sport 👍
Hey there, thanks for the video, So I live in the USA but I am not really willing to move anywhere but can travel. I really really wanna get in F1 but what can I do?
Well then Haas would be your best shout as they are the only team based in the US 👍
Is there any thing related to desiner not a car designer but like livery and ig posts
Yep absolutely, teams have graphic designers for car liveries
So to get into the management side would it be any of sports, event, or business management degrees just depending on what exactly you want to do?
I would say go for business management to be as broad as you can and keep your options open 👍
dont wanna work in f1, but great vid none the less.
Fair enough, but thanks a lot! 🙌
Do you have to go to uni to become a mechanic or can u do college/apprenticeship + experiences
You don't necessarily but it does help 👍
Are there any jobs in f1 for nursing??
What if I want a job for personal security for a f1 team how would I get in contact with someone? Or a job with them with transportation or moving equipment around
I would go on LinkedIn and start connecting with as many people as you can from the teams that work in those roles 👍
Hello. Thanks for the video. I'm studying Computer Science and engineering in Portugal. Do you think is there any opportunity to get into F1? It's my dream. If yes, where should I search for more information.
Well you're already on your way there! But starting by finding people through LinkedIn is a great way to start 👍
Really want to get into the hospitality field in F1, can you help with who I should contact?
I would go onto LinkedIn and find as many people as possible!
hello, I wanted to ask something. I am currently in the last year of high school and in college, I am planning to study aeronautical engineering. is it considered good for qualifications??
If you want to do Formula 1, I would go more broad and do mechanical engineering or aerodynamics 🙌
@@TheRacingPilot thank you so much!
hey brother I'll be doing my masters in operations and supply chain management in UK so what kinda job should i look for specifically in F1?
There will be endless jobs in logistics of teams which would be great, or in the supply side of parts etc.
@@TheRacingPilot I got offer letters from University of Liverpool, leeds and Cranfield University which university would be best for my F1 job career? U might know so that's why i asked u😅
Both Leeds and Liverpool have Formula Student teams that you should join so either of them 👍
@@kapilpatil3575cranfield is best for f1
Hi Iv been looking for formula 1 jobs in mainly events and marketing , Iv been using teams websites and motorsport jobs website , where do you think I can find more opportunities? Thanks man
There are huge peripheral industries associated with motorsport. Component manufacture,
textiles < carbon fibre etc. Plus many other levels F4. F2, Touring cars, rallying etc. to get a foothold on the ladder. The variety is immense. I worked in many aspect of m/sport inc. F1. and also crew chiefed a sportscar team. Climb the ladder based on experience and you`ll do fine.
What about being a doctor in F1 like dr Ian roberts?
I have just finished my 12th grade, and I want to become a formula 1 presenter.. what should I pursue and how should I apply
If you want to send me a DM to @lukefrancisf1 we can have a chat 🙌
@@TheRacingPilot I’ve dm’ed you & thank you for replying 😊
Can you please explain Economist as a job in f1
You can analyse the economic factors affecting formula 1 in an advisory capacity I'd say.
ı want to work in F1. Currently I am a psychology student. I can go business school or smith. bu ı really don't know what can ı do.
I'm studying a Bachelor of Science International Hospitality Management and hoping to get a Job in F1, What else will I have to do to achieve my dream job?
Message me on @theracingluke and we can chat!
I can agree more or less.
Yes, the jobs are rare and not that easy to get, but you don´t need any university degree or so to get into F1.
I am working myself in a Formula 1 Team as an IT-Sysadmin and I don´t have any higher degree and only 5 years of work experience.
It is more about how you present yourself.
Working in F1 is extremly exhausting and you must know this.
It isn´t flying around the world seeing a couple of new countries and being around the rich and famous, being on trackside means 12 hour shifts at least 5 days a week.
Of course I cant speak about the Engineers, Aerodynamics, they are at the pinnacle, but speaking about the other jobs on trackside.
Such as a mechanic, IT or so, it isn´t impossible, the hardest thing is to find a job and get the first invitation for a call, not to get the job itself afterwards.
If you want it, just try it, but be aware what it means. (Often leaving his home, moving away, be away over 20 weeks a year and so on)
Are there any Construction Management Jobs?
im a mechanic and want to work in f1 im only 17 and already working in race teams in other motorsports any suggestions on the path i can take?
Study mechanical engineering
@@racer2312 but i dont want to be an engineer and is not something that is needed for my job
Well there could be An Easier way for Red Bull Advertising cause you can Buy the Cans but you would need a Simulator Same with Other Brands Monster Mercades the Smaller the Product the more Opportunity of a Bigger Sponsor to See what Possibilities can be done with an Drink or Socks
Sorry I am confused what you're getting at 😂🙌
What is the scenario for getting a job in Fromula 1 for a person who is not in the UK?
Depends where you live really, there are other teams but only in Italy, Switzerland and US 👍
@@TheRacingPilot Thank you for the reply. how about Canada and India?
First!
Nice!!
"I'm not going to go through every single detail...cause that would be a very long and very dull video"
Video literally started with a nearly nine minute introduction
are there any options for nurses in F1??
omg f1 doctors
There are many roles in F1 with the medical team 👍
I know this video is already 11 month old, still I'd appreciate all the help I can get for the following 🙏
I'm in law school and about to finish my studies in roughly one year. I'd like to join an F1/2/3 Team or the FIA for a legal role. Since I'm studing in Germany, work permits or other paper work is not the issue. Can anyone reccomend websites, or platforms where I can find actual job offers or possiblities to get in touch with someone? The FIA itself and other Racing Teams didn't publish anything useful so every help is much appreciated!
Thanks guys
I'm pursuing Mechatronics Engg , can i apply???
Absolutely, that's a great course to take 🙌
I am korean student, is that possible to be a Formula1 engineer graduating college in korea?
no, just apply for kpop be there
Can a mechanical engineer get a job in F1 company like Red bull
Absolutely! That's the perfect degree to have 🙌
IT? So people who code? I had no idea F1 had coders
Pretty much every business has coders, especially Formula 1 as it is extremely data driven
someone has got to make the steering wheel ui or organize the telemetry

11:33 never? then :D
What do you mean?
@@TheRacingPilot He wrote "then", you read "never"
hiii is there anything medical related? 🥺
Absolutely! You can be a doctor as part of the FIA. This may mean you will work on other motorsports away from F1 but that's the reality sometimes!
Make sure your father is a billionare and some basic drive skills
Well that would be to be a driver but this is about all jobs around that
does F1 demands chemical engineers?
Absolutely, all the teams need chemical engineers to maximise fuels and lubricants 👍
