Would have liked to see Connor go deeper in the game and pass a bit more to work on things. Love the efficiency but he needs reps in game to get comfortable. And can we get that Citizens RB from McNesse in the portal, that kid ran like the four star he came out as. And you need these games to work on things in a live game scenario. All teams play 1-2 of these. This year ours are mixed in with ND and Florida, would rather have had these practice games before playing the tougher schedule.
I think Conner needs to step it up beyond means. Receivers aren’t getting separation, so he needs to extend plays through his feet, run some more and play like old Conner handled business. Definitely needs to take more shots down field if given the opportunity. Moose is spectacular but needs to get his stuff together after what Elko told us in the Press Conference. Him doing what he did in the game didn’t look good on his part either. Surprised that wasn’t a flag. Bussey needs to get reps as a RB and a receiver. Think he could help out as a RB considering he has hands too. EJ Smith hasn’t shown us anything great at all. Moss can only handle so much. Scourton and Stewart surprised me with how ineffective they’ve been at rushing the QB. No sacks yet isn’t how I saw the season going. The D-Line hasn’t been as aggressive as I’d like to see or how I thought they would be. Thankfully though, this season I haven’t gotten my hopes up one bit like I did in previous seasons. I think we’ve all gotten to the point where we need to see it rather than just look at the roster with high hopes. That’s a plus in my book.
teams have been game planning around our DL. I think ND and McNeese both got the ball out on average in less than 2 seconds - I don’t think this excuses having NO sacks yet this is definitely not the dominant DL we’re used to having but I think if florida sticks to their pass game, we’ll see some sacks this weekend
Sorry gentlemen but I am not convinced that Conner is a real deal at this point. Not saying he’s bad and not saying we should give up on him after two games. Here’s my question, if he struggles in the first half against Florida do you think Elko will have the courage to bench him and bring in Reed? Had Elko done that starting the second half against Notre Dame I think we would’ve won the game. I honestly think this game against Florida will define Conner’s future as the starting quarterback.
@waltonwarrior7428 Weigman before the injury had something. After ND I am concerned he has lost confidence and swagger due to the injury. Playing fearful of getting hit again and another injury. Could explain the bad passes that game, nervous feet that couldn't set.
Reed did not look spectacular against mcneese. Love the guy as the future face of the program, but we need a bit better from our QB than he gave us against an easy secondary.
You hit the NAIL on the head.. i think if ELKO WOULD HAVE PULLED HIM IN THE SECOND QUARTER.. I THINK A&M WOULD HAVE WON THAT GAME.. PLUS I THINK THE PLAY CALLING WAS HORRIBLE..!
@@ShellShell-i8o reed didn't have the playing time CONNOR had.. i think if he would have had the time that CONNOR had they would have won that's just from what I saw from CONNOR..
Weigman does not look right. I thought it was his accuracy that made him a good quarterback. His accuracy is off and he is holding onto the ball too long and not going through his projections quickly.
Always LOL when Liucci acts like a “come fight me” tough guy on here like anyone is afraid of him or his cohosts. Way to puff up hiring Klein tho, guys.😂The no-passing-SOB
Does anyone know why Marcel reed came in for Conner and not Henderson? Henderson is listed as the backup on the depth chart, and played well last year.
I’m sure it’s because Jaylen and Marcel are similar in skill (Henderson prob throws the ball a bit better). But Marcel is the future for our QB room besides Husan Longstreet of course, but also Marcel Reed provides a wildcard mix with his breakaway speed.
It’s a 7-5 or 8-4, maybe 9-3 top end team. Pretty much where A&M has averaged for its entire history. Not a bad middle third of the pack program historically. Winning record at Kyle Field against ranked or conference opponents is right at or below average for other major home fields. So, back when A&M was a fairly small school with not much money, playing in an old, out of date stadium to today with staggering amounts of money and boosters sticking their noses in every aspect of how and where the program goes, A&M seems to settle into this routine. The defining factor in middling years seems to be lack of toughness/physical conditioning. And lost to Norte Dame by getting worn down by their line. This looks to be another year of the norms. Lack of intensity, lack of strength in the long ground game, less than stellar secondary. It’s the SEC now with tu in it, and they look to be all those things A&M is not prepared for; complete, powerful, well rounded team with a brutal defense and an offensive machine with a brilliant coaching staff.
@@Neaptide184 You are so freaking goofy. Sips are overrated frauds like last year and as always. Nothing powerful about them except their weak schedule. And the queerHorns defense ain’t nothing special either. A&M’s simply lacked a QB & OL the last 3 years. They should be better at both this year. Sure they’re a year or two from competing for a trophy, because it’ll take time to build ranks and not get 3-star transfers or buy higher-ranked washouts/transferred-home guys.
@@blackout07blue Goody? Try being a bit more civil there t-shirt fan. I hate to say it but CONNOR IS NOT THE GUY WE NEED LEADING A&M.. I THINK IF THEY PLAY HIM AGAINST THE GATORS WE ARE GOING TO LOSE.. JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE..!!
Way too early! Conner is mature and accurate. Something is off and that his accuracy as he keeps throwing too high. Now his confidence is taking a hit. He’s holding on to the ball too long and locking on receivers. His mobility is not good. He would be better if he was more mobile. He’s still coming back from injury. Yet, I don’t want to lose games while he is working his way back.
