My dad survived cardiac arrest. It’s only been a few days and I refuse to give up hope! If you don’t mind me asking.. how long did you take to wake up and speak? It’s been three days and my dad opens his eyes but no awareness to his surroundings. I feel like I’m drowning constantly and just need a ray of hope.
@@nyiajayy my brother In law is on a ventilator now 😞 waiting for him to wake up. The kids are so young. I hope he can pull through. His heart stopped for 25 minutes
@@RxRec hi! If it gives you hope my father is now up and talking. It took him 4 days so hold on to hope! God has the final Say and don’t rush to make any decisions. Stay strong ❤️
Been there, done that, also spent 40 minutes in CPR, but at 46 and without a wife. Now, they're telling me I'm supposed to turn 50 this year, but that doesn't make sense since everything's been on hold because of the pandemic that started a few weeks after I got out of hospital.
@@RxRec close to 20 mins. I also had hypoxia and have some brain damage. They gave me less than 10% chance, and I started breathing on my own after 8 days on a vent.
@@whiskeytangofoxtrot1986 Hi, my dad has hypoxia and it's day 20. He's off the ventilator with vitals being fine. However, he's currently in unresponsive wakeful state. Did that happen to you as well?
You can avoid this by correcting your cholesterol numbers early in life 20s, 30s either by diet, or medication. Just ignoring high LDL can lead to a disaster in your life when life is good. When you get into your late 50's have a nice retirement looking forward to not working as hard want to enjoy traveling. A ticking time bomb in your chest is not something you want. When I was 38 a PC doctor he looked at my blood work told me with my family history, blood work I should be on a stantin. I took it for a few days had a few side effects I stopped taking it. Now I'm 52 and having chest pains pack pain going in for a stress test likely going to need stents. I have ignored my high LDL for years and now I can't do the things I want to do in life.
Sparrow Health System. Come on be honest with everyone on here, there is always a reason why someone has a cardiac arrest and in your case, you look like you have taken steroids etc?
Mike I too am a survivor of cardiac arrest. I would love to talk to you one day.

What do you mean they told you to turn 50 this year when you're 46 now?
I had my heart attack/cardiac arrest at 33 years old.
How long did your heart stop beating? My brother got CPR for 30 minutes and now has brain damage, and we are still waiting for him to wake up
