Bought the sennheiser momentum 4 and compared it with my friend's xm3, the sound quality of the sennheiser is super crisp and the instruments can be heard separately and they all come in sync. Bass is also clear. The sony xm3 instruments is like stuck into one audio with no separation and its not crisp at all. But the comofrt for the xm3 is slightly better because of its weight and the bass is louder also its anc is better. The sennheiser i have to play at around 70 to 80% vol but the xm3 is around 40 to 50% vol. If i shake move my head up and down the xm3 locks onto my head and doesnt move but the sennheiser moves. Idk about the xm5 i havent tried it but i chose the sennheiser because i heard alot of complains about the hinge breaking for the xm5 on reddit and chose sennheiser mainly because of the build and sound quality.
Yeah I agree that the sound quality in momentum 4 is amazing. Have you tried using the bass booster in the app? I found it definitely has the best bass out of all specially after turning it on.
Have you tested the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra? The only thing that is important to me is sound quality, I don't care about noise cancelling or call quality. My old Bose QC25 needs replacing and trying to decide between the Momentum 4 or the Quiet Comfort Ultra. Thoughts on these 2?
Yeah I found the Sennheiser's have better sound quality than B&W. I will say its a very close competition between the two. Taking calls is great on the Sennheiser. I like the touch buttons to lower or increase the volume and pick/drop calls on the Sennheiser. I tend to turn down the active noise cancellation to its lowest when taking calls or working and listening to music. This way you can have a normal conversation with anyone in the room while still listening in the headphones.
I can‘t decide between BW s2, BW s2e or Sony mx5. It is so complicated to Choose and i have done so much Research.😅 and becauce of the Price i haven‘t decide yet
I would personally go with the BW s2e amongst those options. They are slightly pricier than the xm5 atm, but the sound quality is noticeably better. The built quality feels luxurious and sturdier than the xm5's as well. I would rate the sound quality of BW s2e very close to the Sennheiser momentum 4. The only concern I see with the s2e's is the many buttons, but if that okay with you then I'm sure you'd love them!
