One of the very best players alive today. His absolute SOVEREIGN COMMAND of piano technique is astonishung, even in a world filled as it is with great young virtuosi. Shishkin manages at once to be brilliant, powerful, exquisitely sensitive and heartbreakingly beautiful. A rare accomplishment that.
You can hear that he love the music
This ballade is so underrated ! Dmitry offers us a majestic playing, which is difficult to know if it comes from his interpretation or from the piece itself...
Absolutely beautiful. What a sound.
Unbelievably beautiful interpretation.. smoothly playing peice .. lovely 😍
Une pièce peut bien être un chef d’œuvre mais encore faut-il l’interpréter de la bonne façon et c’est ce que vous faites brillamment ! Bravo ! Salwa.
He's way too good omg
Love what he does at 6:30
5:28
You are the GOAT (greatest of all time)
Another legend has been born.
Excellent performing!!!
너무 슬퍼요.....
Shishkin is the most sensitive interpreter of Chopin today.
I didn’t think he was in the competition.
Kissin too. 😁
Beautiful
No one:
Dimitry:😙😙😙
Copied but ok...
XD
Spectacular.
Beautiful😍👍💜💛💚
bro those yamahas sound so deep
Because of noble timbre that different of any other
Isounded like he plays by special delux piano
Bravo super music
Świetnie, brawo!
Bravissimo!!!!!!
what a god
He reminds me of Horowitz 😱😱
He's so handsome 😂
I think that the piano has an ideal sound for Bach Mozart or Beethoven, but it suonds a bit harsh for Chopin's music.. Especially in the forte
I think it's because of bad sound quality in youtube videos
Well you can't really play Chopin on any other instrument can you. lol
@@danielperkins3905 he means the Yamaha 🤦♂️
@@leonf4721 but more seriously, I read Chopin loved the piano pleyel, and that some pieces of other composers sounded horrible on pleyel, that's maybe why. Chopin composed with the piano pleyel.
I think so as well, the shigeru (actually I forgot its name) sounds fantastic for Chopin
'O'
He's made a bad habbit of making kissy faces in the camera.
Ugly ones
I like it
Whats the problem whit that?
in the camera?? Are you saying he is waiting for the camera before he makes the face? Are you insane?? hahaha. Or the camera literally waits him to do that so they can focus. wat an idiot
'Very poor playing?' An atonal listener below posted... Very strange uptake. Quite good, actually, but Aime Kobayashi's rendition is a bit cleaner with better pedal use and near perfect rubato. Still, this is formidable - despite the somewhat "sectionalized" coda;-)
Very good playing but he sectionalized the coda....which I didn't like.
+Carl Hopkinson - you mean he breathed between the phrase parts Carl?
+lagunagreg :)))
Obviously as I can see, you play much better by showing your amazing performances of a quarter of a 4th ballade cut in two videos because you couldn't put it in one. 👌👌
ItzZed Gaming sore spot buddy? The coda was slow and choppy. Get over it.
Oh, no, this is all too prosaic. Where is the poetry? It might be good piano playing, but as for music making ... Sorry, Dmitry (and everyone who thinks he's wonderful).
Joseph Laredo unspoken truth
Let's judge ... post up your own performance and let us critique your version ...
very poor playing....amd unfortunately very poor competition
+rva25
I can't belive someone liked this comment.
The poor part of this competition is the cheap criticism on youtube
+rva25 are you serious? "very poor playing"? i bet you do not even come close to having the pianistic talents of dimitry; if you even play piano at all.
If we don't want classical music to die, we all need to encourage competitions like this.
you only show ur ignorance in classical music.
why not quit and stop wasting ur time
rva25 and your english is poor and maby yourself also:D
