Since this will be produced by Geely in China, this ev will not qualify for the US tax exemption. Estimated starting price for the RWD version is in the $60K range and for the dual motor version $80k range which is $20K more than a Tesla model 3 or Y before we factor in the tax exemption (up to $7500). This pricing will be a major obstacle for Geely to overcome. I did notice that the type and size of the battery & the maximum charging capacity was not mentioned and looking online the RWD version is only listed to have an estimated 300 mile range not 400 mile range as the video stated. We need a lot more information before we can say it can even compete with let alone knock out the Tesla model Y. To come close, Geely will need to bring the RWD model in under $40K.

You are most probably in the right area regarding the numbers. That being said, this car isn't meant to compete with Tesla Model Y, but with premium cars from Porsche, Audi and BMW. In that niche, fuel efficiency has never been the primary competitive key point.

Nhsta in an has yet to approve high definition cameras for side or rear view mirrors 🪞 soo unfortunately we may never see polestar 4 in America 🇺🇸 until safely ruling in American government changes

I suppose White VANs have no inner mirror either, so why can't a sedan do the same?

@@voltaelektrifiera3556 maybe because they are registered as vans?

@@TechonomicsToday That might be the case, I'm no expert of that area. But my question would in that case be why it's considered necessary for sedans and not for VANs. American logic isn't always easy to grasp.
