To be fair she went through a lot of shit and was in a toxic relationship with a guy who only promoted her behavior.
Edit: That doesn't mean her actions was good or excused obviously. I'm just saying all of this happening to a literal child fucks them up. The funny thing is at the same time it isn't even their fault and it's just reality fucking them over and destroying their mental stability causing well, all this. Also I have to agree with that other comment that this was untreated PTSD.

That doesn’t apply to this situation, or every situation, but it’s not always a good thing and for many people is a dehumanizing experience and not positive at all. Sounds like untreated PTSD. I have PTSD from almost being murdered myself. I was angry, easily agitated, and easily manipulated. My mother pointed out that I was going down a bad path and she didn't know why. I told her the only thing I knew to do was see a psychologist. My mom was totally against that. @@kaorii10 yep! I dropped out of school in 10th grade bc my life was falling apart, I lost all my friends (just petty drama & needlessly burning bridges, on both sides, I wasn't an angel), I was failing a ton of classes and NONE of the teachers cared, not a single one. My mom didnt care, my dad didnt care, nor were they even around, & other family was dealing with their own shit and were toxic or lived halfway across the country. Was in a toxic relationship that drained me completely. I was 100% alone for a while there.
At one point I made 1 friend but one time she and I walked to my house for lunch and my ex bf was living with us at the time but he wasn't even there he was at work. My friend told her parents not thinking it would be a big deal but they banned her from going to my house at all and things became awkward & tense. And that was after my best friend from middle school who was like a sister to me just started hating me. Her mom got remarried and she suddenly had funeral home money 🙄 so I wasn't good enough anymore and she practically became a bully to me. Also my band teacher wouldn't let me stay on bass clarinet and made me switch to b flat but at thar point it was hard for me to play b flat so I sucked at it. I got failed and I quit and the entire band and both teachers literally made a point to ignore me and just basically act like I didn't exist. How adult men who are there to teach you can bully a teenage girl like that idk. Ask the band teachers at Norman Highschool in OK. Bc I can't figure that one out.
After that I just gave up. Just stayed at home eating ramen and playing WoW and watching tv. If I had even 1 single teacher, even 1 school staff, 1 single friend, 1 family member, a stranger, ANYONE or ANYTHING, I maybe wouldn't have dropped out and things could have maybe gotten better. Thankfully I just got my GED & bounced bc I knew I wanted to do something w my life at some point & knew I could pass it so what the hell why not. Did pretty well on everything but math and got the hell out of there. I fucking hated highschool. I can't relate to most peoples positive highschool experiences be I genuinely really didn't have any. I also believe this is when my fibromyalgia started to become a real problem but it wouldn't be diagnosed until I was 26. Also got diagnosed with endometriosis at 23. Shit's been hard.
I think one of the only things that makes me feel even slightly ok about it is that I've grown tremendously and have now fostered a positive environment for myself. I stopped taking peoples shit and decided to focus on things that made me happy. Art, crafts, nature walks, hiking, camping, cooking, gardening, etc. I have a lovely boyfriend, 2 adorable doggos and 1 cute kitty. We plan on starting a homestead and having kids. I am going to do everything in my power to make sure my kids feel supported by my bf & I under any and all circumstances. I will not allow my child to deal with that. No child should.

So many people don't seem to realize how many people have to live with this shit the rest of their lives because some asshole decides they want to just take lives, they don't only take the victims lives but they ruin so many other lives. Why is it always the popular kids who are actually decent people that get killed?
I knew one, Annie Schmidt, I grew up with her and she went missing. She was a cheerleader, singer, beautiful, lots of friends. She was so kind to everyone, would help out the special Ed kids, and the kids with no friends.
They found her body in Oregon, she “fell” whilst hiking. But all the details don’t add up and I think they covered up what really happened because her dad is part of the Piano Guys, and a big mormon family.

“I don’t know why they thought it was a drug deal gone wrong”
This is what an unprejudiced viewpoint looks like. Thank you. Police see Hispanic kids and automatically think gang members, so obviously it would be a drug related killing 🙄😔
Edit: for some reason, people are arguing in the comments that this was race-baiting, when the only thing I was pointing out was the flaw in the police investigation. Like she said, the police following the trail on a gang/mexican mafia violent crime, deterred them from finding the real killer. The time wasted following a dead-end trail, could've been used in solving other cases. Yes, it was drug-related, which I am not denying, I was pointing out how it was not gang-related. Reading back my comment, I see how that wasn't clear, but I didn't think my comment was going to get much engagement. I had a long day and I wasn't focusing on typing out a perfectly detailed comment because this is a youtube video and, once again, I didn't expect much engagement on this comment.
I didn't go into a whole analysis of this case. I was only agreeing with her in the simple, little flaw in the investigation, due to negative stereotyping that Latino kids still deal with. If that triggers you, then I'm sorry that some people are too immature to have a discussion about race and stereotyping to make someone else feel automatically defensive whenever it happens to come up again.
In the end, this case was solved, thankfully, and we could take some lessons away from this video. Have a blessed day everyone, and remember to be kind and understanding to others. I believe respectful discourse is the key to building better relationships and creating a future where we work together, as opposed to the defensive, argumentative interactions I see too much of today. If everyone decides to continue the discussion, please let it be mature and respectful. Thank you ❤

I watched the forensic doc about this case prior to this video and the narrative they have when it comes to the male victims is absolutely ridiculous. Not once did they talk about the two boys and their achievements, nor the families that were waiting for them to come home. It was only "they were into drugs and were known drug dealers" and "they somehow dragged tiffany and Rachael into it". And like you said they also brought up the uncle in the mafia!! Like where is the relation?? It made me so upset to hear such a vast difference in how they talked about them compared to the others. I'm so glad I watched this video and was able to see more about how good those boys were instead of having them painted as criminals. They were victims too. They had families that waiting for them too!! Not just "drug dealers" :c

I think focusing on the "quiet girl and popular kids" dynamic shifts the conversation from the true reason of this crime: drug addiction. A nice girl turned into a cold murder for a stash of weed, so why aren't schools doing anything about this? It's way too easy to find a drug dealer in highschool.
Edit: I'm not saying weed is the sole reason for this crime. To be fair, a lot of people do drugs and don't kill their friends. However, this girl was mentally ill, physically ill, and heavily bullied, yet she managed to be a decent person until she fell into the wrong crowd. All these things compounded and exploded into a shoot out on the whim for some drugs. If she wasn't addicted, she wouldn't have been at that house. Likewise, even if she was an addict but wasn't dealt such a short stick she wouldn't have committed the crime either. The most irrelevant detail in the entire story was that she was quiet. She really wasn't, she was just hurt and a social outcast (and not even by choice). Quiet kids don't need the extra stigma considering we already joke about them shooting up schools.

Most addicts don’t kill over drugs though and are just normal people who made some dumb choices and are now stuck. Steal and lie, yes but I don’t know any addicts that have killed . And This is coming from someone who’s struggled with heroin for over 10 years. This girl was dealing with a lot more then drug addiction if that led her to kill…

None of this made me a killer. And it's deeply offensive that you say mental illness drives you to murder because many mentally ill people are just good people with unfortunate circumstances. Being evil and vile is what makes you a murderer. Please never assume any of those things made people murderers because it only hurts people who are just trying to get by with their circumstances
