This album made my UA-cam name! First time I heard this album, I became a punk rocker! And down the rabbit hole I went, not knowing how awesome this genre is!
One thing I've always found weird/interesting about fat Mike is how he sometimes leaves sentences incomplete. I remember reading the lyrics on the cd and they had words that Mike didn't say, like "at 9 years old there's no such thing as shame" or "I felt that I could save her". He's like "ok, this words don't fit so I just won't say them then".
I'm glad you guys saw the female singer was Kim Shattuck. One of my favorite punk singers. You should definitely check out The Muffs. So many great songs - "Sad Tomorrow" is an obvious starting point.
Great song. Everyone I know loved this song back in the day. The album name is a play on the phrase "drunk in public," so your pronunciation of drublic is a bit off. Great reaction, I always love to see a NOFX song pop up. They are one of my favorite punk bands. I think I was the first view this time. That's never happened before. At least when I clicked it said 0 views.
I hear you, Joel. Sometimes it's better not to know the lyrics to a song because the lyrics might actually be a turnoff to a song that one would otherwise enjoy.
@@KnightscastStudios oh boy, you need to do a blind react to Lovebites Set The World On Fire live ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html, I would consider it one of the best thrash songs in the past decade (imho). Certainly Big 4 / Testament caliber. Don't research the band whatsoever and strap in, and be prepared for channel invasion by the Wolfpack! For me, this is the song I listen to and say "that is what Thrash is supposed to sound like". The song is off the charts imho, and I listened to Big 4, Testament, Exodus, Death Angel, Kreator, Priest, Maiden, Helloween, King Diamond, etc growing up. Enjoy! 🤘🐺
@@KnightscastStudios Hi Joel, pls react to Lovebites Set The World On Fire live 2021. You won't be disappointed. The dark-haired guitarist is a F beast, influenced by Dimebag, plays his Dean in this song and was 5mos pregnant. Good God! The shredding in this song is just off the charts thrash! Enjoy! Beware of the Wolfpack invasion - YOU'LL SEE! 😀🤘🐺
The fact that you didn't catch that the album title "Punk In Drublic" was a play on 'drunk in public' made me realize what I was dealing with...... see ya!
One of the best NOFX songs of all time, imho.
Agreed
Same
Underrated for sure.

Also, Kim Shattuck was a fuckin' legend, what a voice. The Muffs are great, check out their cover of Kids in America.
An unspoken favorite of every NOFX fan just about
That song is amazing. 10-11 years ago a friend had a house party and we put together a cover band...and we played that song.

Great Band. I do believe she has passed away. Rather recently. Like the past 5 years.
@@tylerstewart8420 She sadly died in 2019 of ALS. They did an album of her semi-completed songs and released it the same year. "No Holiday."
one of the best songs ever from NOFX, my teenage years are just flushing trough my mind, still the only song i still know all the lyrics from!
RIP Kim S.
Kim Shattuck was the best voice in punk. I've gotten chills from Lori Meyers since 94. Kim hooked me in punk. Rest in power goddess.
This song has thrived in my playlist since finding it! So damned good -Joel
Great album in general.

Not sure y'all figured out the album title judging by how you read it at the start, but it's a play on words for "drunk in public" haha
Request- NOFX - freedom like a shopping cart
