I'm 14, I'm just getting into welding as a hobby, from what I see I will asking my aunt with amazon prime to order this for me and I will use the money I have been saving for a Lincoln 90I mig
I’ve owned $200 Harbor Freight Welders before and never could get a good weld with it so I gave up trying. I bought this welder a few months ago because I knew I was going to need to at least tack a few things around here and I finally had a reason to use it. My exhaust manifold broke on my tractor so I had to make a new flange and pipe. With absolutely no welding experience (except trying to weld for an hour with a harbor freight ten years ago) I was able to get a decent weld on a 16ish gauge tube to a 3/8” plate and saved myself from needing to go to an exhaust shop. Now I’m confident I can weld basically anything I need to weld around the small homestead I have. Welds do look dirty and there’s a lot of spatter, haven’t tried stick yet but that will be handy for fixing gates and larger projects.
Currently, it's $139 with a $30 coupon and an additional 10% off. I just got it for little over $100. The Arccaptian wire is highly rated. I've been using it for a few years. Very low splatter. This unit has Synergy and Hot Start.
More Entry level options are always a good thing! I mean, who couldn't use a small, inexpensive flux core welder in their home garage? I know I need one.......
Hey, thanks for the review I’m trying to decide between the Arccaptain and another cheap welder called SONNLER 160A MIG Welder. On paper, the Sonnler looks better as you can control more of the settings and it goes up to 160A. However, I think the Arccaptain looks to be a more quality product, and the company seems to be more established. Anyway, thank you.
I’m not familiar with that machine. I will say that ArcCaptain has sent me two machines, the one in this video and the 200 Amp stick welder. Both seem to be good quality! My biggest complaint about the Flux machine is that it’s 110 only. Thanks for watching!
DAng I Just bought this thing and I can't figure out how to get the wire to feed through. I hope I don't have to manually push the wire through to the welding end??? I just tried that and the wire broke after about a foot of wire was in the line. So there has to be a way to feed this automatically?? I was hoping you would show how that is done. I did see it's auto feed but I don't know how to get the settings to make the knurled wheel engage...
You just pull the trigger without contacting anything. It will feed. Just make sure you have the tension on the roller at a good spot. Wire feeding starts on page 8 of the manual.
I do not personally have the YesWelder. I think either is a good choice depending on how much control you want. This machine is super easy to use without a lot of adjustment.

Nice! It’s a very handy and easy to use machine. They did a good job with this one.

That’s a smoking deal! Thanks for the heads up
HI how you like it??
Great job. Easy to listen to and watch. Under 100 now on amazon.

I was really impressed by this machine and it's ease of use! The wire included was fantastic as well! Thanks for watching brother
I made over 10,000$ with this machine I can say this machine is the best even tho you cant super tune it
Nice work🤘. It’s a nice machine if you want simple!

Thanks for the video. If you don't know the metal you are welding, is there a generic wire / electrode/ rod that covers all the bases?
Thanks brother. Very helpful. Probably buying it. 😊
It’s a pretty good little machine!
How do I change the liner for the whip if need be? I just received my Welder today and look forward to trying it out
I would be using a 20 amp gfi breaker, were you having issues blowing breakers using a 20 amp breaker?
How many amp breaker where you using?
Hello you think it would work with a 6011 rod ?
Arc Captain to the rescue!
I've got a few more products from them waiting for videos!
Please no more video reviews, I'll end up with a garage of redundant purchases.
@@garylee9738 I've got some bad news...I have more video reviews coming. 3 MIG welders, a stick welder, welding hood, welding wire...
Wish i had seen this before i bought the Sucktanium 125
I bought a titanium first too. It will work well. Just not a great value.
picked this up for almost 95$ with a coupon you think i can do an exhaust with this?
You should be able to with a little practice on thin materials
What amperage should I run on thin metal
This welder or the yeswelder 130pro
Would this be a viable solution for welding aluminum?
No, you would need something that can use shielding gas with aluminum wire
What would be the current setting for say one inch railing
I got it for $119 including shipping

Wire speed ? This machine setup automatic
It automatically adjusts wire speed
How thick of material can it handle?
It should handle 3/16" without much of an issue
Compare this to the Yeswelder flux 135
Would I need a gas tank, or could I just plug it in and get to welding?
This is a flux core machine, so no gas is required, or even an option on this machine.
Man I got one, the mig option doesn’t arc or anything I can use the arc (stick) just fine just not enough juice rods don’t like to stay arced
That's weird. Did you contact them?
@@GarageHobbyist I’ve tried but no answer..
It just didn’t sound right to me. It seemed to e pulsing instead of sounding like bacon frying.
Would have liked to see actual welding too.
This or the simder 140?
If you have 220v you can use, the Simder. If you only plan on using 110, this is dead simple to use.
Hey 👋
What’s up Jeremy!
Can never have enough guns or welders.
@@garylee9738 🤣🤣 I am getting to the point where I don’t have room to put more welders. And I have more on the way
@@GarageHobbyist hey 👋
Would you buy this ArcCaptain MIG130 or the YesWelder Flux-135
I don't have the YesWelder, so it is a bit hard to say. The ArcCaptain performs really well.
Why the gas nozzle if it can't run gas? 🤦♂
That’s just what it comes with. It doesn’t hurt to have it there. If you don’t like it you can throw it away
This or yeswelder

those welds do not look good.
