If you're not familiar already - check out the Marcia Griffiths version. It was one of her solo hits before singing harmonies with Bob Marley & The Wailers.
This song was written by Paul and John for Phoebe Snow. Many people believe her version is the definitive version. Sadly she passed on a few years ago. Look it up.
Robert Davidson Phoebe Snow didn’t release her first album until 1974. Four years after the Beatles break up. And you want us to believe Lennon & McCartney wrote Don’t Let Me Down for her?

I don't think I've ever heard them do a bad cover and this is no exception. Also, that's a pretty cool John Lennon look Rachael has for this clip! Then again, EVERYTHING looks good on Rachael.
This is the song that got me hooked on LSD (the band), so I realize that it is great. Only cover of the song I've heard that comes close to doing the original justice.
She also does a great take on Tom Wait's I'm Going to Take it With Me....just love the variety of venues and songs...thank you Rachel and LSD...great way to start the day😊
AFAIK, they didn't do "I've Got A Feeling," much less the whole concert. Buy they did do "I Dig A Pony," ICYMI: ua-cam.com/video/sC9uc9DH584/v-deo.html
Oh, wow. How could I have missed this 5 months ago. Must‘ve really been busy. 😅 LSD has been all of my band members‘ favorite for sooo long. Every time we looked for some inspiration for an acoustic cover we could do we looked at Lake Street Dive first. Their wonderful interpretations and ideas are just magic. Love them. 😎🎸
Absolutely brilliant. I used to work round the corner from the 'real' rooftop. Not when the fab four played this song unfortunately - but the vibe still hung in the air. Great bass sound.
I've been listening to LSD for some time but just stumbled on to this today. When I saw what they were covering and that it was on a rooftop, the first thing that popped into my head was, "This better be DAMN good to even attempt covering this iconic version." WOW, I was not disappointed. In fact, I was IMPRESSED. And FINALLY, Billy Preston got the camera coverage he deserved on this song!! (I always thought the song would have been great without Billy Preston's keyboard, but his performance with the Beatles on this song raised it to a MUCH higher level.)
I'm an old man,but I love music period, and this young lady right here has the most talented, raw voiced, yet smooth like Crown, that flows over you like a cool tropical breeze..with a jazzy taste in your mouth..would love to see them in person,.but I'm just an old Cowboy in Texas that don't hear that good stuff everyday..
Holy crap! This is amazing. Totally digging it. I dunno when I’ve heard a voice with such power, soul and beauty with such an awesome band. I can’t believe some of the sounds you’re all putting down. Groovy keyboards. Yah, that was a take. And no, you didn’t eff up the bridge. You just sent a couple angles to heaven.
I love it! excellent rendition of a much revered classic and setting the scene as well with all playing in period duds... thanks and glad I found ya'll, regards...
That bass is smooth like butter even sounds great on a Pixel 6 let alone my B&O car stereo! Great voice too. Awesome keyboard. Great drums. You guys nailed it!
Real vocal control and astounding intonations with your voice! The instrumentation is superlative! This is a lot of fun and like the clear and sunny skies and city around you you're flyin' high with this! So great to experience this and how you all in garb of that momentous rooftop day, so neat how you arranged this. The camera work and film editing are great too. You could tour anywhere. Thanks for sharing such world class talent!!
For a sec I was surprised then remembered oh yea.....Halloween....this is an LSD tradition! Nothing will top their Bohemian Rhapsody recreation (meow meow meow, meow meow meow!) but I love the costumes and setting for this! Oh and Rachel's talent certainly isn't guitar playing hahaha. At first I didn't notice she ain't even trying to fake it, it's just a costume prop. But speaking of props, those keys were a nice replacement for it. Great job Akie.
My favorite band from today, covering my all-time favorite band, on their best and most iconic performace ever (rooftop concert). Probably the easiest and fastest like I gave in a vide before.
Damnit that bass tone is gorgeous.
Bridget’s the best there is
I think their all amazing
Yeah but turn up the bass. It’s a bass song!
Hofner Club bass

And so, fifty years after this song was first recorded, people are still playing it and loving it all over the world.
Great music will always withstand the tests of time.
My thoughts exactly
If you're not familiar already - check out the Marcia Griffiths version. It was one of her solo hits before singing harmonies with Bob Marley & The Wailers.
I've never heard a female vocalist cover, "Don't Let Me Down" and you nailed it. Great job all around.

yes...oh yes
Mike is seriously nailing that Ringo impersonation.
Not a bad Billy Preston either.
I like the Paul too. Although admittedly the Comedy Fake Beard does a lot of the work.
Looks more like Barry Wom from the Rutles.
With better teeth.
Except he needs to be crashing those symbols with a bit more oomph!
That guitar is just sexing me up so hard. Jesus. The vocals, bass, drums, everything are so amazing. This is heaven.
Dude absolutely crushed that keyboard solo in the best possible way. Well done LSD!
This group is so talented, please don't you all ever break up ❤❤
I don't think many people realize how great this is

I play this on repeat most days
O we do

Oh, we really do🎸
Gotta admit she has an amazing voice!
Love these guys... Plus I've never seen McDuck as enthusiastic and animated as he is in this video!
My first time seeing L.S.D.(really?). Why is there a cardboard cutout?
I thought McDuck was a little flat in this performance.

Absolutely love this, this group is a big sleeper...🎉🎉😊
Nothing can compare to The Beatles' rooftop performance, but I love the sound of Lake Street Dive. They are incredible.
Man, Ringo still looks good after all these years!
The McDuck cut out in full Beatles gear - LOVE IT!

EVERYTHING about this is such a marvelous TRIBUTE to them (The Beatles) AND him (McDuck). You guys NEVER fail to amaze us!!!
The range of vocal uses and talent of Lake St is a huge delight and good vibes. Ta.
There is nothing this band can't do. Amazing.
This is such a beautiful and human expression. It transmutes the darkness of those days into flowing, grateful joy.
OMG! Tons of taste and charm. Perfect cover. Even wind was moving her hair like in 1969 did!
