Let me know on what you guys thought of this video! Not sure if this one will get as many views as the last did, but I hope it brought some value. What do you guys want to see next? Any specific unit, map, or play style? Or maybe you guys want to see me commentate over one of my battles with some tips and advice being given?
Did you know there is a cannister bug? When you order your artillery to shoot at troops with round shot and then immediately select cannister shot, the cannon shoots as if it was shooting round shot with a cannister round! Although the cannister stays more effective at closer ranges, it still manages to kill enemy troops at ranges which it wouldn’t reach when you initially would choose cannister. This will turn your cannons into napoleonic machine guns!
*TIPS* 1) Get arty. 2) Blow stuff up. 3) When cannons mysteriously face the wrong way because they are stuck on some invisible anomaly, get pissed and wish they were making an updated version of the game. (even though they're probably not) 4) Accept the bugs and flaws because it's all you've got, unless you want to play single entity total war.
Great video, and I'm not just being nice. I'm so looking forward to finally seeing a NTW channel that is in a more 2021 style and standard. I hope you will retain your momentum and keep doing something like this despite the slow start, I really want to see ambitious content creators playing this amazing game. For myself, I'd love to see any NTW related stuff, even if I have to wait for weeks for it, provided that it becomes a quality video.
Wish you guys would have talked about friendly fire, took me a few battles to realize cannons will decimate your troops if they get in front of cannons 😂
How do I stop that one guy from the artillery running out to melee in combat? One of the most annoying bugs to me and it's present in Shogun 2 but less so.
I haven't been on in a while due to school, but I find that during evenings (North America), late afternoons, and weekends there are lots of players on. Also lots of new comers play the game whenever there is a steam sale. So definitely not dead :)
A bit late. Do you think artillery on cavalry combat works well? I've had great success with roundshot against cavalry, as when it hits the cavalry won't stand up afterwards and it'll kill like a dozen from a single shot- a good way to take out cavalry whilst ranged if the artillery is in the right position to aim.
Absolutely! For regular cannon balls, aiming for enemy cavalry will always give you the highest output of damage. The enemy will either lose their cavalry or will be forced to hide it somewhere which would make it hard for them to use.
There are a few things I can recommend: First, are you having trouble joining a friend's lobby or are people having trouble joining your lobby? If you are having trouble joining a friend's lobby: 1. Check to see if you can join other random people's servers, if you can, the problem is NOT on your end. If you cannot join your friend's lobby and you cannot join other people's lobbies either: 1. Unplug your internet router, wait 20 seconds, re-plug it back in and see if that fixes the issue. 2. Try restarting your PC and see if that fixes the issue. 3. Verify the integrity of your game files (if you're on steam), see if that fixes the issue. If none of those work 4. Reinstall the game as a last resort and see if that fixes the issue. Usually it's just a wi-fi or internet issue that can be solved by resetting your modem, so I hope that's the case because it's an easy fix. These are all the options I can recommend as of now, hope it helps :)
You might have better luck with howitzers then :) Also depends what units you aim at. I find aiming artillery at enemy artillery to generally be a waste of time 90% of the time.
@@brothersinarmsgaming6712 yahh that's a good point but I find that the enemy artillery are my biggest danger with the strategy I use. Without them I usually win no problem. What in your opinion is the best artillery or how, not including the unicorn or rocket
Any howitzer (not experimental) for hilly battlefields where enemy troops may be hard to reach. I also like the artillerie a cheval (France) as they're horse drawn artillery, and the most accurate in the game. It makes it pretty easy to put it in any spot you want provided that you give it enough support.
@@brothersinarmsgaming6712 i am playing right now, I'm using 7 12 ider artillery and by the time the wall falls the game will time out. Is it me or is the artillery in this game just bad?
Ah so you're playing sieges. Hmmm... might do a video on that. Artillery is pretty useful during sieges, but you also have to be mindful of any imposed time limits. A 30 minute battle would be cutting close. Just keep playing and you'll get the jist of it :) Stay tuned and I'll release a siege video sometime this summer.
man when I played expert with a bot the bit was shooting at my cab which was protected by 5 houses plus my infantry was shooting at the cannon men. even with expert bots are 10x dummer then the most dummest napoleon total war player

Back..... finally!! 🖤🖤
They should change the workings of the cannons in that people get up after being shot.
Ty for the tips I’m new to the game n it’s great to find different views

How do you follow cannonballs
"When the canon brigades celebrate chrismas or new yeae and realise it isnt new year or chrismas" results in rocket artillery

I get mad with this games artillery. They barley hit anything, no matter the distance.
