This is awesome. I suppose we could also do this buy painting in layers on MDF and then engraving a cool image and then cutting into puzzle pieces. I may have to try it.
If you don’t have that printer you can print your image on photo paper (or have it printed if you want it bigger than your printer). Use spray adhesive to attach the photo to your board. I added 2 coats of a spray lacquer to seal the print then a couple of coats of poly. Then cut it out on the laser.
That was my question… I could either get it DTF-printed (= on foil) OR print on photo paper (which would also have plastic). Will that then really cut in a laser or just melt and make a mess?

I have done that as well. But when I did it all I had was a scroll saw. I am sure that would be easier than buying a 20k UV printer.
