The Trajet is amazing. It is very spacious. Has 7 full size seats. Is very comfortable. Its quiet and the engine is smooth (has twin cam with balancer shaft) and with the auto box very relaxing to drive. It has lots of luggage space behind and between the back seats. We have had ours for 15 years! The reviewer is a snob.

I had a diesel version of this for 10 years. Good points were that it was cheaper than a van and needed no extras. It also never broke down, never needed a new exhaust, a new battery, a new alternator. It was ridiculously reliable. The bad points were that the seats were very heavy to take out (all steel 4 stone each) and the vehicle was very heavy (1911 kg). It was over 200 kg heavier than rivals and 111 bhp diesel was not enough. I rather liked it though.

Nice to watch a review of the Trajet... 18 years after I bought it.
I must say that this thing is incredibly sturdy and reliable (as commented down bellow). Mine has the 2.0l petrol engine, and it obviously lost some power, but it survived a rear crash from a bus without any important damage more than a broken rear door and both tires blown up. It didn't required any important visit to the mechanic, more than a direction issue, due to that crash, but the car is still the same as 18 years before.
My family always used the 6 seat one, so we can get more easily in the rear seats and also, that 7th seat space adds a lot of room for luggage.
If I really need to say a bad thing about this vehicle, it doesn't look to burn gasoline, instead, it has a hole in the fuel tank, from where the fuel comes out.
That's the only explanation to it's disastrous fuel economy (my estimated calculations gave me about 10-13L / 100Km of highway travel).

Ours is now 17 years old. Needed a battery after 12 years. Original exhaust.
Drives like new. Quiet and comfy.
Only downside is 18 MPG around town and perhaps 29 MPG on a run.

We have had it for 6 years, it is a very good vehicle, it burns less than Kia Carnival brand vehicles.

Our 2 litre petrol automatic averages 18 mpg, and 29 mpg on a motorway run.

Probably the biggest problem with these cars, are the fact that the engine revs up abruptly on it`s own, when you put the automatic gearbox selector in park, when it`s really hot outside, at my previous work, they had one, at it did just that several times, it was a v6 though.

Worst car I've ever driven. The whole thing rattled from loose plastic and the acceleration was god awful, up any kind of incline you would have to use 3rd gear. It was also very unreliable and needed repairs constantly.

Are you sure you drive a Trajet? Its extremely reliable and nothing rattles! With the auto box you dont notice any gear changes, its just goes.

Hmmm, are you sure you've been near a Trajet? I own one and it's the exact opposite of all that you seek to make it out to be.
