There's a show that used to come on after SNL back in the late 80s-90s called 'Night Music,' hosted by David Sanborn. It's a great show that showcases jazz and international music. Thank you, David, for the great introduction to some of the best music. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

Unfortunately there are only a handful of artists today who can sell enough records to make recording worthwhile. Touring is a where they make the bulk of the their money nowadays because streaming pays pennies pretty much…🤷🏾♂️

I remember the first time I heard her and I played her cd driving across country. I saw her twice in concert and at that time she was awesome, that was in the beginning of her career. Kenny G was the "Kenny G of the '80s." Before his solo career, David Sanborn was a sought after session musician for blues, R&B, Rock and jazz artists since the '60s. Sanborn even played at Woodstock. Many records from the '70s of popular artists? That's Dave on sax.
David was playing professionally starting in the the late 1960's. He was onstage at Woodstock. If anything , Kenny G was the David Sanborn of the 80's. Before Kenny ever made an album, Sanborn has played with David Bowie and Stevie Wonder, just to name 2. Trust me, your comment was twisted backwards.

The streaming services conned people to cut the cable cord. They used to bundle several streaming services. After a lot of people stopped cable/satellite service and started streaming packages, streaming did a bait and switch and started breaking up into individual services. Then, they started slowly increasing their prices little by little.
Not to mention the streamers started out luring you by promising no ads just like cable did in the beginning, now streamers are doing the same thing. Glad I didn’t cut the cord. So far. We’ll see how this shakes out.

I saw her a few years ago in Atlanta when she first came out of her long absence and she was amazing. We sang so much that she had to take a seat at the piano and ask us if wanted her to sing the song! I heard it was 15 minutes before the show that they cancelled. Yes indeed Atlanta GA is not the right place to disappoint.
No! Man, Double Vision was the first jazz cd I ever purchased. A few years ago, David Sanborn, Bob James and Marcus Miller finally did a tour to perform that album. I went to see them and got to meet and mingle with them. He was so personable and engaging. It's a memory I cherish ... even more now. ❤

I,too,❤my local news but I’m about to cut the cable because I’ve discovered that I can watch my local news live on their app. Last time I called, Comcast manipulated me😂& told me I’d only save $5/mo by cutting cable & keeping WiFi. Next time I’m not gonna give in & just tell them all I hear is a $60 annual increase to my gas or grocery budget.

Saw Half ass concert at prudential center in Jersey, limping looked intoxicated very late disrespectful to the audience and Babyface never got to perform and did not get my money back, will never go to any concert she gives , but will get to see Babyface at the Apollo in June , Rest in peace Mr David Sanborn
Oh Patty, it broke my heart to hear you announce David Sanborn’s passing 🥹 Double Vision was one of his amazing albums in my collection! I put him right up there with Grover Washington Jr. Such a phenomenal sax player! I have seen him in concert and he was a powerhouse on stage and quite shy like off stage. He seemed to be a very sweet humble man. Always approachable. RIP Mr. Sanborn. You’re going to be deeply missed. 😢 My condolences to his family. It seems to me Anita Baker needs to sit down and be quiet since she’s not saying anything anyway! So many negative things said about her diva attitude. Her fans deserve an apology. This is off the suggest but Frankie Beverly performed in Los Angeles last night. Considering his obvious challenges, he put on a nice show but boy was his band missed 😮 Not the same without Jubu and the fellas.
RIP David Sanborn, "Maputo" from the album "Doublevision was the song that got me into jazz. Loved playing David on Sunday mornings to get my mine right for the week. He will be missed. It may be time for Anita to hang it up or wait until she is physically and in the right mind set. Jlo, please just take a break, you do not have to be seen everywhere. I think both of these ladies might need to call it a day with concerts. Some times staying relevant is not always a good thing.

R.I.P to the legendary Jazz Great Mr. David Sanborn. He was an incredible musician. 😎 Ms. Anita Baker is a nasty woman. She needs to retire with grace.
