    Informative video. I agree with most things but I usually tell people to barely pack clothes because you will find that you will change your wardrobe in a very short time. Even Walmart sells decent round-neck shirts and I never wore bodysuits till I came to the US but now I have so many of them. I also won't advice buying jeans in Nigeria (or Africa in general) because they have better quality jeans out here and the places I looked to to get jeans, I got them at very affordable prices and I still wear them 3 years after. Ankara and other “natives” are a yes. Everything else, just pick a few things. That’s my humble 2 cents.

    Hello… I really loved your video, more especially the jokes here and there lol… but very informative as well! Anyways my question has to do with gadgets, specifically laptops. Is it cheaper and better acquiring them in the USA? I got admission for Fall this year. Standing by. Thanks

    • @nabodimma
      @nabodimma 5 місяців тому +1

      Congratulations! I feel it depends on the laptop. If you want a new one, it’s better you get it in the US because the vendors in Nigeria would have to pay for shipping and import duty, deal with exchange rate fluctuations and still make profit; this will make it more expensive in Nigeria. Good luck!

    Well sometimes people buy some things here because they want to beat prices there looking at they coming for the very first Time & not everyone has that money to go to Walmart to buy clothes even for the next 2-4 months. Because some actually do come on loan . So a student like that will basically come and the first few months stipends is used to pay back the loans they took.
    I rather will advice you come with reasonable things that can suit into your bag & can last longer for you .

    • @annieeucharia
      @annieeucharia  Рік тому

      Buying clothes here is cheaper than buying Nigerian or African food. If you don’t have a problem trying new food then of course bring whatever you want.
      Ps: There’re lots of places to get really affordable cloths that are cheaper than getting from Africa. E.g Shein ( they are always on sales) and Thrift stores.
      Nevertheless, this is my opinion and it’s not compulsory to stick to it.

    The apartment they provide, do you share with other students?

    • @annieeucharia
      @annieeucharia  Рік тому +1

      It’s based on your choice, you can choose to stay alone provided you have the money to pay for it. The more the rooms the cheaper the apartment.

    • @annieeucharia

      It has to be 23kg for two check-in bags. Then 7kg for hand luggage

    • @the_jenefas
      @the_jenefas Рік тому +1

      Your airline would tell you. It’s usually 23kg as Annie said in the video. So two bags of 23kg and a hand luggage.
