Cannot wait to see him in Dublin, Prague and werchter this year! He is the best ever , seen him 3 times last year also long live Bruce, Europe the crowds are much younger and livelier always plays stadiums sold out I'm 24 years old and he will forever be the best

Bruce Springsteen plays in large stadiums in Europe and significantly more young people go to the shows in Europe than in America.

I grew up in New Jersey in the early 70’s became a huge fan of Bruce. Saw him many times during that period in Philadelphia, and the crowds were absolutely electric. I have noticed over the years his crowds in America are older and more laid back. In Europe the crowds are younger and more electric. He does still play some large stadiums like Jersey, Boston, Philly, mainly in the North East. But you are right the rest of USA and Canada mainly arena’s.

I saw him at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen last summer, which seats about 50,000 people for concerts. He played two shows there and they were both sold out. My first Springsteen show was at Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, which was his first ever show to exceed four hours (I believe it still may be his longest show ever), and it was sold out at over 50,000 in attendance. He still sells out MetLife stadium in Jersey when he plays there.
Funny, I was born and raised in the States, and 'Born in the USA' was my Elvis/Beatles moment. But I have only ever seen him live in Europe.

There’s an amazing generational vibe thing in Europe you see 3 generations of the same family all singing along and knowing every word … lots of kids with mam pap and grandparents . It’s as if he’s passed down the generations as a precious gift it’s superb

Enjoyable review. Seen him 20 times since 1981. Springsteen is a legend. Two personalities. Bruce the extrovert performer and Springsteen the introvert writer. He only plays stadiums in Europe but manages to make the shows intimate and personal

This was my first time watching him live and I had heard how great he was live, this was even much better than I expected. It was such a great show. I took my young niece and when Backstreets started she looked at me with as much excitement in her eyes that I felt. I was surprised when I heard the start of Hungry Heart, but so happy to hear it.

Saw Bruce and the E Street Band for first time in 81 and did a 1,000 mile round trip. They were amazing. Seen him many times since then and each time it’s the same, just amazing. His shows are played as if it is his last and he and the band put everything out there. Going 3 times upcoming, Sunderland, Odense and Wembley. Cannot wait. To those moaners/complainers we don’t need you as there are plenty people young and old looking forward to the shows. To those fans going we are going to have a great time with The Boss.

This was the second show after a 6 month break because of a peptic ulcer disease. So let him warm up a little bit and then go to a concert in Italy or Spain in the summer. Then it will be a 11 out of 10, guaranteed. ;-)

I am so glad to hear this Bruce Springsteen concert review. Last fall, Bruce canceled his remaining tour dates of 2023 because he was diagnosed with Peptic Ulcer Disease. He said he would be taking a break for treatment but promised he would go back on the road in 2024 with different songs added to his set-list. From your review, it sounds like he's back performing at the top of his game. Bruce has always had the reputation as a legendary concert performer. I'm glad you got to see him. Born To Run has always been my personal favorite. He usually saves that one for the encore.

I'll tell you Joe, I first was "baptized" into E Street at the age of ten when I was sent to the store for my mom and heard "Hungry Heart" over the store's speakers and was hooked! His music has been the thing that has held my life together for the last 49 years when the water got choppy and was with me when I have been on the mountain top. There is a song that applies to many of the experiences I've been through. I am glad you were able to check off a box on your bucket list!

Great review. Seen him several times in UK. Saw him last year in Edinburgh. Going to Sunderland this year. You said so many things that echo my own thoughts. Really laughed at how you started fairly non committal and neutral but as you went through became so excited at the show. At stadium gigs high in the stands is great, but down in the pit is place to be. It is old fashioned. No theatrics like Taylor Swift Eras ( still excellent ) it’s just the music but what music.

It always makes me chuckle a bit when people see Bruce for the first time time...everyone always mentions the house lights on for the encore! I'm not sure if any other artists do this, but it has been a Bruce staple since the 80s. It's such a visual to see, especially when he plays the big 80,000 seat stadiums. Also, not sure if he did it at this show at all, but it's become a thing that people bring homemade signs of song requests and if he's feeling it he'll take the sign and they'll play the song spot on without any prior rehearsal. He also is known to call "audibles" which is when he changes from the handwritten setlist and just yells to the band what's coming next. Truly a sight to witness, when so many big name bands are so structured.

I saw him with my daughter and her husband on Easter in San Francisco. I've seen him many times in the last 45 years, and my daughter grew up with him, too! We paid the same ticket price as you did and we definetly got what we paid for and great memories! (Sec. 207) I was a bit worried I would be seeing a sad shell of the younger Springsteen, and he didn't run around and jump on the piano and dance for 3+ hours the way he used to, he paced himself and walked for 3 hours, but worked his magic just the same. We got to go to church on Easter. 🎉❤ Nice review! See the great ones while you can!

Good review. I was going to go to this show but passed due to the set list I had seen online from the tour. He is on my bucket list of artists to see but in a 3 hour show, I want to hear his biggest hits. I don't know every song of his like the diehards but not seeing any shows this tour where he plays plays Born in the USA, Streets of Philadelphia, My Hometown, and a few others, it wasn't worth the money for me to hit the show. I get it, he has a large catalog, but you ask 100 random people on the street to name a Springsteen song and a high percentage are going to say Born in the USA. In a 3 hour show, he can sprinkle in more of the bigger hits then he does.

I flew in from El Paso to see Bruce with my daughter who lives in LV. Last saw him in 2017 in Phoenix. Overall a decent concert and it's really cool to see one of the true legends.
My main complaint was I thought the sound was a little too loud and a little off. My daughter mentioned the same thing. To be fair I wear HAs that are only 1 year old and are one of the better rated model. To compare I saw Tool 6 weeks ago and I thought they sounded pretty good while wearing my HAs.
Also those damn lights at the top of the stage pointing towards the crowd were rather annoying too.

Great review Joe. I was there in the pit $470 face value. Bruce is my number 1, ive seen him over 100 times. You hit it on the head its a religious experience. He did an interview Tuesday where he said they will be opening the setlists up more. I have a feeling this is due to poor ticket sales and will appeal to the diehards like me who go to multiple shows. Last night Racing in the streets was probably the song i wanted to hear most and was hoping to hear it in LA next month so i was real excited he played it and they totally nailed it. As for your wants The River and Born in the USA dont get played a lot these days. Badlands is every night i ever saw him as is Born to run. The man is just incredible like you said at 74 plays for 3 hours and never leaves the stage. I believe this will be his last big tour with a full band as he is starting to deal with health issues finally. Yes it was a fairly easy ticket. Uppers on stubhub were listed for $60 yesterday. Glad you finally got to see The Boss now go to LA for some more!!

Like 99% of the time so it's not "you may get it one night and not the next" He does NOT play a greatest hits show and THAT is exactly what keeps things fresh, new, and interesting. On another note, Jake Clemons is NOT Clarence's kid, it's his nephew. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

There are a few good live performers, but nobody does it like him and does it for 3 hours. And he's still doing it at 74. It's not lip sync & bubblegum. It's real and it's hard.

'Because The Night' is not a cover of a Patty Smith song. Springsteen originally wrote it and recorded it for the album 'Darkness of the Edge of Town'. He was not happy with it and decided to leave it off the album. His sound engineer, Jimmy Iovine, was producing Patty Smith's album which was being recorded in the same studio. Springsteen gave it to Iovine for Smith to use. She re-wrote part of it and, and by all accounts made it better, and recorded it for her album. The first time the song was ever played live was when Springsteen and Smith played it together at her show in New York. Springsteen's original version has never been released in its entirety, but the original 1978 master instrument recordings were used for the version Bruce released on his 2010 album 'The Promise' (which used Smith's newer lyrics). But is it really a "cover" when you are the one who originally wrote and recorded the song?

I took a leak next to him at the stone pony in asbury park circa 1980. 😂 He used to often jump on stage with the house band on Sunday nights. Big fan when I was a kid growing up in jersey, but as I got older and moved to Las Vegas, I found him cringeworthy and moved on. Happy you had a good time.

Dude you got racing in the street and spirit in the night. Be beyond happy. He's still great but i saw him twice on the darkness tour. That was insane. I think he is helping the backup singers and horns . He's never needed them. If he is your generation then you have had many chances to see him. 2002 was the last time in vegas.

@@JoeInVegasReviews FYI- I was at the Bruce concert in Vegas. One of the things that makes Bruce great is his sophisticated use of language that the common man can relate to. Bruce elevates language/humanity with his poetry. I will never be close to Bruce in talent or meaningful thought, and I have no clue if I am "better than thou". But I do know that crude language should be reserved for the private beer blasts with my buddies... not at a professional meeting at work or in front of my mother or in a public forum on youtube. When I hear Bruce Springsteen my first thought is OVER RATED When I hear someone call him the "Boss" My first thought is Employee... not a Boss. I will give him credit to be able to fool so many people over the years into thinking he is some kind of rock God he has been pretty good at that. Just my opinion, all you Bruce fans don't panic.

Of course he hasn’t!! anyone who has seen E STREET live, wouldn’t make such an ignorant statement…… I was there Friday in Vegas….section 3 third row behind the stage…purchased my ticket 55 minutes before the show and got my Uber to drop me off literally at the entrance with no line! $85!! I’ve seen Bruce 35 times minimum last 30 years plus.…if I lived on the East Coast or Jersey, that number would be way over 150 like so many other people from the East Coast I’ve met going to these shows over the years…lucky for them and always great comrades and awesome conversation!! And singing and dancing and laughing and tears of joy…tears of sadness…tears of greatness! Side note he and the band looked refreshed, determined and the sound system at T Mobile was incredible! They nailed it like always! THE LEGEND continues undeniably!!

I know what you mean. I felt the same when the Stones didn't even play Satisfaction but some old ass songs no one knows and the die hard fans went crazy about "ooooh they haven't played this since 1899"
BUT if a tour isn't marked as "Greatest Hits" tour you just can't expect the greatest hits when the artist has a huge back catalogue to chose from. And, I think, changing the setlist from night to night really makes someone outstanding. And I totally can understand when someone doesn't want to sing certain songs for 40 years all over again.
