I never knew black Shi’a existed since Ahlul Bayt didn’t like black people: 1. (Narrated) Ali bin Ibrahim, from Haroon bin Muslim, from Mas’adah bin Ziyad, from Abu Abdullah [as] said: Amirul-Mu’mineen Ali [as] said: “Beware of marrying the Negroes (Zunj) for they are an ugly creation.” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 1) 2. (Narrated) Ali bin Ibrahim, from Ismael bin Muhammad al-Makki, from Ali bin al-Husain, from ‘Amr bin Othman, from al-Husain bin Khalid, from whom he entioned from Abu Ar-Rabi’ al-Shami said: Imam Abu Abdullah [as] said: “Do not [even] buy anyone who is a Negro…never marry anyone of the Kurdish (people) for they are part of the Jinn (demons)…” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 2) 3. (Narrated) Several of our fellows from Sahl bin Ziyad, from Musa bin Ja’far, from ‘Amr bin Sa’eed, from Muhammad bin Abdillah al-Hashimi, from Ahmad bin Yousuf, from Ali bin Dawood al-Haddaad said: Imam Abu Abdullah [as] said: “Marry not from the Negroes (Zanj) nor the Khazar, for they have near relatives whom are unfaithful.” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 3) He further said: “India, Sindh and Qindh-not a single one of them [from there] is intelligent.” (al-Kafi, fil Furoo’: Book of Nikah, Chapter: Whom Are Disliked for Marriage, Narration 3)
Hi! Salams Al-Kafi is not the word of Allah. The Quran is the word of God. Yes, we are told to refer to the hadith as well as the Quran for our guidance BUT only if the hadiths DO NOT contradict the Quranic verses or the practices of the Ahlulbayt. The Quran clearly states the level of piety of a person is what concludes a person to be good or bad. The hadith you have quoted (even if it is from Kafi) clearly contradicts the Quran because it states that the color of a man or women indicates the quality of a man or women. That is absolutely contradictory and must therefore be rejected! Secondly, we all are aware about Hazrat Bilal who was of a dark complexion being freed by the Prophet himself as well as him being a staunch supporter of the Sunnah of the Prophet following RasoolAllah’s passing away i.e. (Supporter of Ahlulbayt as). You’ll see, my friend, that the hadiths you have quoted are definitely incorrect. Kafi is a book written by man, and anything in it that which contradicts the word of Allah MUST be rejected. :)
Al-Kafi is not held as law by us; the only true book for us is the Quran, unlike Sunni beliefs of Bukhari etc. In fact, if you were educated on the subject you’d realize there is currently a massive undertaking to purge all “Israiliyat” from our books, which were transplanted into Shia literature after monotheist converts to Islam tried sneaking their previous traditions into our own And finally, as the other commenter said there is clear doctrine in Quran that the only superiority of man lies in his morals, not his ethnicity. So nice try, but unlike you Sunnis with your leaders’ hatred for slaves like Bilal, it is a point of pride for us that even some of the Imams’ wives and mothers came from mainland Africa Shi’a Islam is a gift for the entire world
