    You guys are in for a huge learning curve. These little motors put on bicycles require a TON of maintenance.
    My suggestions are these, USE LOCTITE ON EVERY BOLT AND NUT, get a better carb, get a 415H aftermarket chain, get a tool kit including inner tubes, patch kit, extra chain master links and get a gasket for an O2 sensor for a 1981 Toyota Camry and replace the exhaust gasket with the O2 sensor gasket.
    The “shot glasses” are gear pullers. One side takes off the drive sprocket on the motor and the other side is to remove the small bevel gear on the clutch side, remove the nut and screw the shot glass into the gear/sprocket then tighten down the bolt in the center and the gear/sprocket will come off.
    Good like on your journey, it will be a very long and frustrating learning curve for you.
    Be careful and have fun.

    The parts that you called the "nipple clamp" is the bracket you put between the lower frame and the muffler to keep it from vibrating. If you don't install it, the muffler will vibrate so much the muffler pipe will break off before too long.

      I've built 4 of these and the long pipes that exit at the back with expansion chamber is best, the banana style pipes are second best and the standard pipes are worst unless you remove the baffle plates and shorten the tube on the end cap!
      You can also drill bigger holes in the pipe inside the muffler to improve flow.
      Completely standard pipes are a major power drain

    • @thefunniestfarm4731
      @thefunniestfarm4731 6 місяців тому

      @@Yukanhayt-Mhenow Lmfao, the banana style pipes are fake expansion chambers that are shit internally, cut one open and find out. Almost as bad as the stock pipe.
      The only good pipes for these are the MZ65 type pipes, but watch out for the fakes.
      You want a header that steps up, the ones with a single diameter to the expansion chamber is trash.

    the setting for the carburetor isn´t the floating cause you got the jet, the jet gives the maximus amout of fuel always, and if you run out of fuel on the float chamber the motor will be getting lean always. you got to change the needle washer position... if you put it higher the needle gonna go lower and it gonna be giving less space to the fuel to pass... if you put the washer on the lower position, the needle gonna be more up and leave more space for the fuel. the needle is conical

    • @MrDegsy69
      @MrDegsy69 6 місяців тому

      Not to mention the fact that the motor drive sprocket is attached directy to the spokes on the rear wheel. This is not good and will lead to breakage before to long! It would be better to attach this drive sprocket to a rear wheel that has a disc rotor mounting boss instead. Additionally adding braze on engine mounts to the frame would help dissipate motor vibration no end.

    • @InsanePickle24

      @MrDegsy69 6 місяців тому

      I would say custom made brazed on engine mounting brackets and urethane vibration isolation grommets with thread locking compound on the engine mounting bolts would be the way to go.
      As you say the way 2 stroke engines reciprocate so wildly it is a sure fire recipe for disaster. There is a reason why motorcycle frames are so stiffly braced and ruggedly constructed.

Too much oil during a break-in can actually harm to the engine (not properly breaking in) and cause damage down the road. I always broke my engines in with 40:1 and they all ran just fine. Having extra oil for break-in is a misconception from people who have little experience dealing with 2 stroke engines.

      Aside from what was supplied in the kit I used a spring loaded chain tensioner that mounted on the motor and a rear sprocket that mounted on the wheel hub. I also had to change the crank and sprocket on the bicycle to clear the motor. I think I also bought a better drive chain than what was supplied in the kit. My advice is to mount the motor as solid as possible and make a bracket to solidly mount the muffler to the bike frame which will also assist in solid mount of engine aside from saving exhaust from vibrating loose, losing or breaking mounting hardware, or stripping exhaust mounting holes in the engine. Make sure to use a front wheel brake. I used a simple and cheap caliper front wheel brake and it works fine for me. On a coaster brake rear wheel make sure that the brake stay anchor is VERY securely mounted using a good screw & nut tightened and loc-tited. I had that screw break or fall off (I don't remember) and when it did, the pedal kicked back hurting my leg and almost throwing me from the bike. That was also before I had installed the front brake, so I almost crashed into the fence as I came into my driveway hot. My 26" cruiser style bike has a top speed of about 30-35 mph (certainly faster than I need to go on a bicycle!) and a comfortable cruise speed of 20-25 with a 44 tooth sprocket. I wish I had known of speedometer phone app at the time I was playing with the bike. It went plenty fast for me, though. I'll get it out & play with it again one day.

    The weak points are;(1)chain tensioner,2)the bike itself that yu mount the damn thing on rear hub & the brakes,3)crank needle roller bearing,4) small end needle roller bearing,the 1st to go I might add.these are what must be improved immediately.
