Labor Day with Edison Steam Locomotive 9-2-24

Information: Hello everyone! Welcome to the Labor Day video! This year edison returns to the track again for Labor Day! This was a fun day chasing Edison again after she had been under repairs in the roundhouse. Edison ran amazing today on the rails. She was taken out of service after this video because she had more issues. But she is likely to return for the Old Car Festival event happening on September 7th. 7 will also be running with Edison on Old car festival. After that edison will get ready for Halloween and 7 will stay in service. Torch lake will be running for Halloween nights but she is in restoration right now. Winter railfanning is still on. Winter will be 152 and 1225. Thats all the weekly information!
Information about Edison:
Edison is based on an 0-4-0 switcher locomotive built about 1870 by Manchester Locomotive Works. Henry Ford purchased the switcher from Edison Portland Cement Company in 1932. Mr. Ford had the locomotive rebuilt into a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement by staff at Ford Motor Company's Rouge locomotive shop. Edison later went into regular service on Greenfield Village's railroad.
