I didn't say you would get sick from Maple Sap.. I said you would get ill (IE: Have a serious case of diarrhea) if you drank much of it. Kind of a laxative in any quantity..

It is sold in stores these days as a highly hydrating alternative to coconut water (same is true for all saps). I know people who bottle it. They pasteurize it because it spoils very quickly which could be why you think that it will mess with your stomach.
