Yeah I saw some expert say an endomorph athlete is like Mike Tyson, gets muscular fast but also can get fat really fast. Other guys have to really work out regularly to maintain the muscle mass, otherwise they become skinny again, those are the true ectomorphs, growing up they were the thin/scrawny boys, could eat whatever and never gained weight.

I've always been a BIG girl. I wasn't born huge, but the doctors told my parents I'd be 6 feet tall and overweight my whole life. I made it to 5'9" and 425lbs was the heaviest I've ever been. I have always been strong. I could lift things with ease and work all day long. I also don't have high blood pressure or high cholesterol. After watching this video I realized that its in my genes and I'm grateful. I am big but my weight is my biggest health issue. Where as several people in my family have high blood pressure and diabetes. I do suffer from hormone issues. I got married in 2017 and 3.5 years later got pregnant. I had an early miscarriage. I went to a hormone specialist and found out my hormones are messed up. I had another miscarriage later on in the year. Since then I've put back on the 60lbs I lost over those years in about a year. I want to get back to it so i can lose weight and not be so tired and miserable and to elevate my hormones. This video is helpful and I look forward to seeing where life can take me. I want to be strong again.

I'm not a woman but I came from a family where almost all of them are endomorphs and despite feeling it's hard or impossible to lose weight, some of female members in our family managed to lose great chunk of it just by following specific food diets and continue doing it for months straight without giving up with not a single exercise done.
Surpassingly, with dieting for a year and no exercise at all, they lost like 1/4th or even 1/3 of their total weight but it becomes harder after that, the challenge is not gain it back, and as I said, this weight loss happened without exercising at all, so imagine if you exercise with that, you can almost reach 3/5 or half of your original weight.
Another funny thing which despite I got discouraged from doing it as a man, exercising without dieting at all, it sound stupid and you'd wonder what the point but after months and even years, people tend to not believe I'm fat at all cause my body is toned in a way that the strain on my muscles from my heavy weight is less that I move faster and do more activities, wearing right clothes that hide where I've weight the most and increasing muscles of the rest give me a balanced like shape so I'd feel like I'm toned but bigger in size than other people rather than being chubby.
So these are 3 things you can follow depending om what you feel more comfortable with.

This body is a blessing since I have the energy and strength that rivals many of my mesomorph gym pals... Also I deleted my social media accounts 3 years ago (Except LinkedIn) and ever since I have been able to adopt a more healthy lifestyle and further my career with my higher self-esteem. I agree with you. BMI tables were developed in 1972. They do not take into account the muscle mass one has. My husband is a natural bodybuilder and according to the charts is obese. Arnold Schwartzenegger would be considered fat as well. These charts are antiquated and need to be updated. Best way to know your fat to muscle ratio is to be weighed under water. Hydrostatic weighing. Be well!

I was born premature and was always a very skinny and short boy. When I hit puberty I grew up to 5”11 and packed on fat. I was chubby my whole life after that. I never hit the gym or lifted weights yet I still had some bicep development and muscular legs. When I finally got into lifting weights I was bench pressing more than the skinny crossfit types. I was bench pressing 40 pounds in my first week. I saw so many skinny guys struggling to lift up 15 pounds. I thought I was lifting wrong. Why am I able to bench press 40 pounds in my first week of training? Anyway, I gained 25 pounds of lean muscle in 4 months. I guess I’m lucky and not cursed with my endomorph body. I look muscular now. My chest is rock hard and shoulders wider. I just need to lose my stubborn belly fat.

This is such a relief and thank you for making this once stressful subject much more clearer for me. Society is not very kind concerning endomorph body shapes. I always get condescending replies of "Oh! your quite nippy on your feet for someone of your size" or "How come your that size but your blood pressure is near enough normal". I'm fed up of saying "Noooo!! I do not have diabetes and noooo!!! I don't have high cholesterol🙄 Even when I was at my healthiest at the gym 5xweekly training to be a javelin thrower my trainer was shocked that I did not lose any weight, I just got extremely muscular and even stronger than before. It was so funny as I had to be paired with men heavier than me so I could continually improve. Now I have the tools to get back on track and not listen to negativity.

Trust me, unless you actually step in the dohyo ( Ring) and experienced sumo, you have no idea. Hi,
A few days ago I've heard the first time about "endomorph" type I've always was the "big bone girl" but also very athletic. I've done so much sports in my whole life but also I've struggled with my weight. Besides I've done so much sports when I served 2 times a day a meal I was worried that I will gain weight. I had to watch everything I eat . And the strangest thing is when I stopped working out in a daily basis but still eating healthy and less then a "normal" person I started gain weight fast. Extremely fast. In 2018 i found out I'm pregnant and I had to stop exercise and actually I had to stay in the bed because I was with a high risk to loose my baby. So during the pregnancy I've consumed only vegetables and fruits ( that was the only food I've could eat ) , I've gain 40 kg 😔 ( I was 62 kg when I found out I'm pregnant and I was 102 kg when I gave birth). I've never had any problem with my health, even when I was 100 kg and besides I couldn't do any exercises, I had no problem to get dressed or to tie my shoes. I felt fit.
It was difficult for me to start to loose all the weight after birth because of my daily routine with my son but even when I tried, nothing worked for me . I tried with Herbalife, with different types of diets and working out routine. NOTHING! I eat once a day or maybe twice but I'm like my son's piggy, I ate after him... leftovers . And still nothing, eating less , doing exercise , using natural pills to help to loose weight and still nothing. Everyone around me said that I have to eat less ...I was like How could I do that !? I already eating my son's leftovers 😔 I went to the gym every single day and working out like for 3 hours, at the weekends I went twice ...and still I felt hungry and still no weight loose. After 10 km running and other type of exercise... I refused to lift weights because I have muscle, especially on my legs and back ... so after I've heard about this type "endomorph" instantly I found myself in this type. And now I'm doing HIIT workout and a lot of small 10-15 minutes intens workout and I feel like I don't need food only water! I started finally to loose weight and I feel better. And not to mention I have more valuable time at home with my son and for my daily routine around the house. :) But I'm still worried because i still eat less food and after "IF" I will loose all the weight, do I will gain back what I loose!!? 😔

Thank you. When he said Endomorphs are not the desired body type I was thinking...I have literally never heard this. Endomorphs are the second most desirable next to coke bottle (don't know what fruit or scientific name goes with the coke bottle). The most undesirable shape is apple and banana. Maybe it's different with ethnic groups.

I am endo wit a lil bit of meso i got wide strong shoulders bit of belly wit a pronounced derriere wit wide hips i am quite chubby but the good thing is i am healthy, very strong at lifting heavy weights n i get big fast,am 5ft11 for 21 stones many times i did loads of cardio when cut carbs off i got ripped but started to have digestion issues stomac acid burns sometimes constipation n guess what happens when u cant poo n force it out u bleed n tear your skin.. it happened to me each time i did that diet n trust me id rather b chubby wit no bowels movement issues rather than look like Bruce lee on the outside n b sick n damaged internally,im meant to b chubby am 44 n i accept it, its gt his advantages, ill never forget the level of pain i was in when i had anal fissures u cant sit ,cant drive, cant sleep on your back n can hardly walk, the sting feeling needle would last for hours as my anus would be inflamed or irrated thats hw serious it was..i was even scared of eating cause i knew when id go to toilet what would happen again..each time i forced it out in the loo the pain would worsen n bleeding wil happen again..im in no shame to confess the pain would make me cry,a bad toothache is nuthing compare to the pain i was in,i would scream like women suffering to give birth, the more i pushed the more pain n sting id get from dwn below, shout out to women cause giving birth whilst in pain no jokes gotta respect women...thats my body type being endo it took me years to accept it as i always had issues wit my looks but now am embracing it...i dont care hw people look at me or what they think god blessed me with that genetic so imma be me and do me.For those who had same experience or can relate know that you cant cheat your genetic we live in a society where looks is important according to magazines n social media but dont be fooled by that and enjoy the real you

I'm a Block style guy. I work out built my arms and shoulders. I also built my back and chest out. My legs are huge from just being obese in my younger life. When I hit the age of 15 I started lifting and did it for the way I felt and I felt amazing. I then went on to power lifting and being as strong as possible and beyond that. I would have never thought I would be strong enough to bench 400lbs easy and to max out at 520lbs. When I could get the 400x10 I knew 520 would be easier for me but make sure you have proper form or else you will mess yourself up bad. Just do the basics squats, dead lifts, and Bench all angles.

Yes I'm built the same way, 5"11, 280lbs, %32BMI, jist do daily cardio and do upper body ome day and lower body the next and you will be a powerhouse when it comes to your body. Despite what people say thick or big bones or dense bones does exist, I remember guys in football who weighed less than me who would break an arm or leg where I didn't, I could handle bigger and stronger hits because of my body combination, then their ectomorph bodies.

Second, if you have the inclination you could look into Gabrielle Fundaro here in youtube. She doesn't address directly this disorder but she does address the mindset... Aldo looking into powerlifting is another option. Above all I hope you find the strength inside you to overcome the binge eating and heal the wound that manifests as that. Namaste🙏🏾🌞
