What a great idea with the pancakes! I bet you could make great iced tea or lemonade with these! Also cakes, cookies, breads, yogurts, ice cream/sorbet/popsicles, roll grapes in it and freeze them, muffins, jello, flavored milk (piña colada flavored!) mango and pineapple would probably be great on fish! Aw man. Now I've really got to go get a freeze dryer. Lol
Definitely pancakes! And scones. I might also use some strawberry or raspberry for a Victoria sponge on Canada Day, and to flavour drinks and homemade ice cream.
chocolate powder with cherry powder in waffles. Please try whwn you can. Because chocolate cherry is amazing amd waffles are the superior breakfast item.
I wonder if they would be good in homemade yogurt and then freeze dry yogurt dots!! I can't wait, I am getting a freeze dryer, it's refurbished from harvest right so they have to test it for a while to be sure everything is working but hopefully before Christmas and I can start my freeze drying journey!!
@jenharrell65 go to the harvest right website and find where you can contact them and either email or or call them and ask them about their refurbished Harvest Right machines and yes they are considerably less. They will give you a price for all the different sizes. It won't get shipped right away because they test it for a little while to be sure it works but I absolutely didn't mind since I have wanted 1 for so long that a few more weeks didn't matter.
I've think I've mentioned it before, but ... I took FD strawberries and crumbled them in a plastic bag. Enough to make small crumbles, but not completely powdered. Milk white chocolate in a double boiler configuration on the stove. Once melted, stir in the crumbled strawberries. Spoon into ice cube molds and allow the chocolate to harden. Side note: This is a great video style ... what to do with the FD ingredients.
I think I'd be making veggie powder and getting extra veggies into my kids 😅 (mine love fruit but really struggle with veggies) but adding fruit powder to homemade yogurt sounds good too
So I love those overpriced Starbucks refreshers and being that they are so overpriced I rarely get them. I feel like these fruit powders could make really tasty drinks! Just mix em with some coconut milk and green coffee bean extract and you would have a really tasty Starbucks dupe!
I add them to buttercream frosting! Easy way to get color without using any dyes!
Does the taste of the fruit come through at all?

Overnight oats or overnight chia seed where to go into a veggie smoothie sprinkle it with the plain yogurt
Oh you should totally do a fruit powder flavored whipped cream to top the pancakes
That peach powder would be so good in sweet cream ice cream

How do you get a refurbished one? That sounds like it could be pretty cost effective!

I want a freeze dryer so badly! My parents have one and I keep wanting to steal it.
Frosting!
I was thinking frosting would be awesome.
