- Hi, this video shows the Nintendo Switch Lite being played on a 1984 Panasonic Boombox. If you find yourself succumbing to 'Dock Envy' then you too can play the Switch Lite on your favourite TV with this workaround :-)
Not what we wanted the Switch Lite to do, but what we all needed deep down.

CreativeFox750 not really I bet if Nintendo were to do something like that they would take out the screen and also the dock is mostly plastic so they can just take out the hardware from the dock also it means it has no joy cons or joy con slot and that means it means it will only come with a pro controller

I'm amazed at the fact that no 3rd party company has made a dock that includes the hardware to make the Switch Lite dockable.

I have a tiny tiny rca BW TV I got to get it recapped or something.. it’s all wobbly when I try to run video on it. And the dials never fix it.

Now you need to try putting the logic board from the new full-sized switch into the switch lite an see if it will work with the lite's screen etc.
You would think that the signals from the video chip would be the same if the screens are the same technology. Although some sort of adaptor may be required to connect them in the same order.

@@tigheklory There would be a fair amount of checking needed to be done. I'm not sure Vince has the skills, but it would be something for him to learn, reading datasheets and such.
Well there you have it all you people who have been asking, you finally have your answer. With a simple camcorder, VCR and converter box, you too can officially play on just about anything.
I thought for sure this was going to use the OTA transmitter from the Fortnite video.

ohhh Vince I absolutely love your videos, yes Dock Envy I have it ! Buyers Remorse, yet I got the Yellow Switch Lite aswell and it's so beautiful! Dock to TV is the only thing I'd ask!
To get a clear lineless picture of your CRT you need to set the shutter speed to your refresh rate of the CRT if that doesn’t work also set the frame rate of the video to the refresh rate of the CRT your shooting

This is so funny! I remember when my parents first got a smart TV and it didn’t have the red, white and yellow cables for my Nintendo 64 so I basically used the VCR we had to connect it to the smart tv then to my 64 😂

Have you seen people make smartphone projectors with a magnifying glass? The UA-cam channel DIY perks has a particularly impressive one that can adjust focus. It would be great to see this used for the switch lite as a way to have a big display for multiplayer without having any delay that comes with the camera method
