I did this too. We had sheetmusic and put at certain points a mark so you know when and where to go. Difficult yes, but a lot of practice goes in to it. Even memorizing every note. (excuse me for my english maybe not that good) LOL. This is so much fun to do. Sadly I can't anymore because of my illnes. Thank you for this video Highly x love you to the moon and back, peace!

    Thank you for your reaction.
Putting up a marching show like this one is done with weekly rehearsals. Mostly 1 time a week (2 hrs per rehearsal) for the music and 1 time per 2 weeks (4 hrs per rehearsal) for the drill. To get those two together in a shorter time periode marchingbands like K&G organise a rehearsal weekend.
Also besides the weekly rehearsals all musicians are expected to practice their music at home as much as they can, because for most musicians the rehearsals on their own aren't enough.
The whole process of starting to learn the music, then the drill and coming to a finished product takes about 4 months.

In case you don't know KiKa stands for Kinder Kanker (Kids Cancer) so you know where the proceeds for that night went 😉
They made kids happy and even helped finding cures (still do)

They have a show called “ The Battle”. Really have to check it out, it’s my favorite 😍

The drill is mostly written on a grid based on yard lines (yes, that's something our marching band community learned from the Americans). If you look closely you can see the little signs standing along the edges of the field. Marching drills over here are usually written between both 30 yard lines (30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 45, 40, 35 30). The depth also has yard lines spaced equally, but with letters (A, B, C, H1, H2) with line A being 5 yards behind the front line of the field. The drill is devided into sets (when everyone moves in the same amount of counts) and sometimes sub sets (when one or two groups moves for less counts). The starting set (set 0) of this drill for example shows 2 crossing lines on both center lines, being the 50 yard line and the C line. Then the next set (set 1) shows a lines between both 35/40 lines, a line on the A line and a line on H2 line (something like that, I can't see exactly where they're at). All sets will have a written note at the bottom of the sheet telling you how much time you have to get in this new position coming from the previous set. For set 1 of this drill that will be 4 bars/16 counts.
While most bands use sheets with the drill grid in visual form (you can see what shape you all should be forming), you can also work with coordinates specifically written for you as an individual which is faster to read, but only works if you have experiece with the yard lines.

Highly whenever you come to The Netherlands, you're invited to come and watch a rehearsal from my band (not as large as K&G ;))

It's not Top Secret (who I think you reacted to before) , but still a pretty good routine
