Almost a week after the race and I only have heard Kenny and Harvick has given Larson props for the butt kicking we witnessed. Fans are discounting how good Kyle can be.

I agree with you Herm! We've been so spoiled by 2 and 3 wide finishes with bumping, banging, smoke and sparks flying at the finish line...that when we don't get that we bitch and complain! I was at Bristol Saturday night and while yea it was a blowout, there was still good exciting racing throughout the field. Every once in a while you're still gonna get a driver and car that's gonna stink up the show!! Larson and the 5 team kicked ass at Bristol and as a Ryan Blaney fan my hat is off to him! I witnessed a historic moment in person and I am proud of that!!
Larson was just that good everyone needs to move on. As far as the current car? there are no repercussions for rough driving. as long as you can keep it off the wall and protect the toe links they are tanks. dont misunderstand i dont mind agressive driving but if you beat and bang on someone your car should have damage too not just the guy you got loose and scrubbed the wall

I don't think he cares other than sponsors were harder to come by for Kenny than for Mark.
I totaly agree that they are not going to get rid of the car but I do think they need to make some changes. I still beleive they need to put metal fenders etc back on the cars and get rid of the "Rubber Cars". This makes all the races more exciting to watch rather than some guy hitting the wall and still being competitive. I also beleive they need a happy medium in tire ware on the short tracks to keep them interesting. After all, If the races are not interesting and exciting we will have even less fans. Also remember a few tempers flaring at Bristol dosen't hurt anything and only increases the excitement and the fan base and TV viewers.
I liked the night race. A friend of mine quit watching because they move the numbers. I like the old way too but CALM DOWN. It’s just a fucking number. My nieghbor quit watching when big Dale died. He was my hero too I was there for his last race but I continued watching because I am a fan of the sport. Yes it would probably be better if big Dale was still here but that’s not the case. HEY WALLACE YOU SURE CAN PISS PEOPLE OFF FOR DOUNG NOTHING. 😂😂😂😂😂
ppl just have to get over stuff like the number placement. of course i dont like change but you can actually see the sponsor on the side of the car now and after all it takes money to go fast

Nothing to be mad about, but there can be frustrations. Larson is one of the best drivers in the world. Dominated the race with the car and package they are delt. He deserves all the props for that. So many "fans" grew up with nascar racing on short tracks, and a product that was memorable. there was nothing memorable from the Bristol race if you aren't a Larson fan. Fans have given this car a chance.. The car is failing to put a good product on the track at short tracks. NASCAR said they were disappointed, the fans are disappointed. We can only hope nascar does something with their partners to put a better product together. We can nit pick every race. that solves nothing. We can only hope the right changes can be made.

Lifes to short, kenny. If “fans”, don’t like nascar, and they are true race fans, find a good dirt track, take the wife and kids and have a great time. I bet you won’t see to many follow the leaders. Some but not many. Quit stressin over things you have no say over! Go race !

Spec cars involved in spec races equals boring follow the leader racing. If every car fits into a spec mold and drivers have been warned about “rough driving” penalties (ie… #3 vs #22 incident), then most are content to just make laps, following behind the other guy until some opportunity comes along to encourage a pass attempt. It might take three or four laps, but eventually a driver can pass another car. Then the race almost always comes down to a green/white/checkered finish. Where has the competition gone? Where have the race team mechanics gone who could squeeze a little more out of the car? Kenny… you asked… fans aren’t really mad at you for simply stating the obvious. Fans are disappointed with the level of the competition at what is supposed to be the top offered anywhere. Thrive on the controversy and enjoy yourself as you keep the pot stirred up with your fans. But racing at the Cup Series level should be more than what we see each week on track… don’t you think? JMO

The NextGen car is a Sports Car, not a Stock Car. Jim France wanted IMSA in Cup, so here we are. The thing is a dangerous garbage can, but it is what it is.THEY WERE 3 WIDE AT BRISTOL W/O CRASHING WALLACE, THATWAS AWESOME. The problem i saw was a third of the field points racing, they werent even trying to win (ala Hamlin), NASCAR has done this to racing. Im honestly much more pissed about the Ticketmaster deal WTF NASCAR
I'm not mad at you, Kenny. You have your opinion just like every other race fan and driver has. As a fan of watching NASCAR Winston Cup as a kid in the late 90's and early 00's, the racing in my opinion, was so much better. You had action on the track, good ol boys, new comers and the driver/owner. I get every sport changes for the future but when NASCAR talks of it's past, they sure don't live by it. Alan Kulwicki won the 1992 Winston Cup Championship the hard way. No chase, no segment racing, drove a actual stockcar, had to actually race against his competition (Bill Elliott and Davey Allison) and led laps, which counted towards his championship. If NASCAR can wake up from their delusion and realize what actually worked or works, fans old and new would come back to NASCAR.
Kenny, you say you like to say things to get people charged up; maybe they are having fun right back? I still say since this new car short track racing and road course races really haven't been that good. If you say it's the tires... ok. It might be more than that, say when a phase ends to pit stops for fuel, horsepower (that's right...NASCAR won't back down from that, either.)or even tired of rich kids getting rides (have to poke... LOL.) My opinion, you're the professional driver, I'm just a dumb fan. This car and rich kids will not bring the "hay day" of the 90's back to the sport... just sayin' LOL Let's not mention streaming coming next year. LMAO. just having fun with Herm. What happened here is the fans are sick and tired of the bad decision of lower horsepower. What does NASCAR need to see? How bad does the race have to actually get before they put horsepower in these cars?!!!!! it’s ridiculous!!!
I missed the day that NASCAR was about racing ! These days people just b**** ! Nascar has to much power and money ! The French family might own it all but it's the drivers and the sponsors and the fans that makes the show !
If you're not a driver, crewman or owner it's hard for fans to understand how things change over the season. The best teams do a lot of simulations and the drivers tweak their driving styles. While the cars are spec, there are some setup adjustments that NASCAR allows the teams to make. That plus, temperatures, track conditions, 6 months of learning more about setups and driver preferences all make a difference. If it didn't, they wouldn't do it.

The race was great! Larson dominated and the atmosphere at the track was fun. If you paid attention to the battling behind Larson it was actually quite competitive and interesting as well. I still can’t believe it took 400 laps for guys to start working the middle line (Bell and Briscoe).
I am out of the loop, haven't heard the complaining. I thought it was one of the better races this year; watching the guys work at passing, lap after lap.

well Kenny i can't comment on the race because i didn't watch it, i was late getting home Saturday, an missed the first 2 stages and when i came in my son says " Larson won the first 2 stages!" and I said, "Well i won't watch it because i don't want to jinx him."

People gonna complain about anything i don't think k bristol is what it used to be I'd rather see a dirt race brought back maybe not at bristol but somewhere and People complained so much about nascar on dirt but hell that's what started the sport I thought it was something different an interesting
I like how nascar are putting banners over seats to make the tracks look full. Definitely not sold out like it use to be.

I couldn't care less about one driver dominating a race. Thats RACING, thats how it goes on any given week. Seen em all-#3, #24,#2,#6, etc etc do what Larson did. I saw Gordon lead 381 out of 400 laps at Dover, 2001.
What I care about is how they DESTROYED Bristol's racing. It's just another track now with no personality. THE RACING THERE SUCKS NOW. SUCKS! And it isn't just the car or tires or Kyle. Go back to 36 degrees, one groove racing. The new fan who never saw the old Bristol is clueless.

People are stupid…. Personally I too didn’t mind the race. It wasn’t bad at all. Do I like the current nascar program. No. The spec car etc the cars are no longer in the crews hands like it should be.
