When Leah got pregnant, something women often do, she got really proactive, grabbed Erica Enders (the 6 time Pro Stock World Champion) and a few other gals, and in record time wrote a "pregnancy protocol" for women who might get pregnant during the season, so a relief driver can finish out the season, earning points in their name, the way Jack Beckman is doing for John Force. NHRA immediately got on board and now it's official policy. Record time.
There were 4 women who qualified in Top Fuel this weekend in St Louis. All 4 made the field. 2 are World Champions, 1 is the reigning European Top Fuel Champion, and the other a winniner in A/Fuel who took over her dad's team after he had quadruple bypass at the start of the season! The next year or so as many as half the Top Fuel pilots may be women! They are all really good.
While NASCAR has a phony "diversity" program, NHRA has been organically diverse for nearly 70 years!
Plus, when you go to the drags, every ticket is a pit pass. You can actually watch teams work on the cars during the event.
The grandstands shows the approval of the fans! No longer sell outs!

xfinity races always are better because the drivers ACTUAL gotta wheel the car and manipulate the air and make passes. Those guys in the xfinity series have more heart and passion too.

NASCAR should tow the cars back to the pits so the tires can be changed. Also, the flat bottoms on the cars are causing the next gen cars to go airborne, the flat bottom gives the car lift, like a wing on an airplane. Is NASCAR really that stupid or do they like the TV footage. Open up the bottoms and add horsepower.
Almost as bad in taking flight issue as the dumb wing on the early gen 5 car or the Next Gen car before the modification for safety.

With all the engineers these teams employ, it is a mystery how this is designed into these cars when driver safety is a top concern. This flat bottom also makes the cars unstable when close together, example Kyle Busch accident in Kansas, it was air wash that caused the car to lose control. How many times have we heard drivers say-it is like driving on ice-that is a result of lift when the tires are lifted from the track due to bottom airflow. This is why they have had such a problem adjusting to this new car.

the underbody acts as a wing for sure giving it the air it needs to get up and over. Reminds me of a matchbox car and being so flat underneath. YET, they'll never address it because of COSTS 🤡

timing is a b*tch (1, 2, sometimes 3am starting times for us) for the Supercars races here in Brasil, but I make an effort to watch the great race every year. 2014 edition is still the best race I've ever seen across all racing in the world

Suspensions are needed in V8 Supercars. We di not go around Ovals. The Body Panels are not FLAT SIDED and we don't have Vent Hatchs to slow the Car (roller skate) from sliding all over the track. The Driver 'controls' the Car.

You realize that BEFORE the playoffs, only 4 or 5 drivers had a shot at the Championship after Labor Day, yes? You still had all the cars competing at every race. Racing isn't like children's stick and ball games. Not even when adults play them.

The rules are ruining the sport, I remember a guy rolled his car got in the ambulance and noticed all 4 tires we're on the car, got back in the car drove to the pits.

Flat tires shouldn’t cost a driver the race. NASCAR should at least tow them to the pits and let them change tires, don’t let them touch another thing until they make a lap and come back around if you want. But end their race is BS

Racing incident and the old car. This car you can act like you driving clean but put the guy passing you in a bad spot. Chase knew what he was doing and Kyle is smart he will not say nothing and make sure chase does not finish next race. He was trying to stay on the lead lap and crashed the leader

NASCAR refuses to admit the Nextgen is a turd of a racecar. Combined with their historically inconsistent officiating, it's ridiculous.
Car was designed for 1000hp and they're nerfing it down to 650hp. That's the root of all its problems. The car needs more power to overcome the issues of dirty air and create more parity in speed which in turn would create more passing and easier passing but they insist on keeping the low HP package where everybody is pretty much running the same lap times. Sure, we no longer have the same 3 cars dominating every race and it produces a lot of different winners but the racing is unwatchable. Track position and clean air is way too dominate. It's not much of a race between drivers anymore, more of a race against invisible air.
Chastain was a 10th place car at best in traffic but strategy gets him out front and suddenly he goes from a 10th place car to a race winning car simply on the clean air advantage. Anybody can win these races now, you don't even need the fastest car. Just make sure you have good track position and start out in the front or near the front on that final restart and you'll have a shot.
I want to know the reason they're keeping the HP low. Is it to save on insurance? Is it because they don't have faith that the car is safe enough to handle the higher speeds? What could the reason possibly be? Teams have gone on record saying the could produce a 1000hp engine by the next race weekend if Nascar allowed it but Nascar refuses. I just don't get the logic at play here.
This all started with the CoT in 2007. The moment they put splitters on these cars and kept them glued to the ground is the moment it all started going downhill. Kyle Busch won that first race with the CoT at Bristol in 2007 and infamously said the car stunk in his post-race interview and here we are, over 17 years later, still running the same car design essentially and the racing still stinks.
And the price of this car was supposed to be cheaper, until it became a third party vendor, car builder raised the price after stating it would be cheaper. SMH since the COT.
Car is "garbage" because there is no way to separate themselves from anyone else. Physics are physics and no team is stupid anymore. Teams used to be able to come up with "innovation" to break away from the pack. It's going to be follow the leader from no matter what.
By sealing off the entire undercarriage of the car NASCAR essentially turned it into a flying wing which damn near nullified the benefits of one of the most advanced and efficient safety features to enter the sport in the last thirty years, the roof flaps

Guess I have been mistaken I thought if you got stuck because your tires were flat you got towed back to your pit box to change tires? That’s BS if you spin and the tires are flat so the car is high centered and the driver can’t move it back to the pits for tires that means your out is ridiculous!!

I cannot say anything positive about the latest cup car design. And NASCAR's rules about that car are even dumber. This is why we haven't been to a NASCAR race in a long time. Why deal with all of the crap at the track in person as a fan spending all of that money.

That's not the problem. Tires don't create downforce. If they did, Top Fuel and A/Fuel dragsters wouldn't need rear wings 8 feet tall in the rear! The problem is the Cup tires are "low profile" The distance between the bead of the tire and the surface tread is significantly shorter than previous tires, or what's on Xfinity and trucks today. When the tire goes flat, the car bottoms out, and isn't drivable.
