- Thanks for joining me today its been a few weeks since I've been on the lake due to work and other things. The heat and rain has really been a big factor for us in south Mississippi. This morning was a struggle in locating the crappie I finally was able to find them in open water and in schools, what a treat to look around and finally find them. I caught a 2.78 black crappie probably one of my biggest summer time crappie ever. My set up was 13ft Jenko pole, 1/16oz jig head, dirty milk, hair jig, #3 or #4 split shot, and 10lb test line Mono.

Hey Thomas, Man ! I really like the way you do videos . I just watched the Fish, Clean& cook video!!!that was a great video cause youare really good at all three. I notice you never use a curse word in your videos , which says a lot about you. I bet you are a fine fellow to know . I usually watch you on TV , so I don't get to like and subscribe unless I'm over here on my Laptop, but i always remember to let you know that I enjoy your videos when I'm over here on my laptop. I'm a retired Union truck driver that used to drive for YELLOW FREIGHT so when I was working , I never got to fish too much. I've been retired since 2005 and I'm 77 so I do a lot of my fishing through you cause you seem to know how to find them and are very good at catchin'em !!! I live up here in Olive Branch , Ms. so I don't get down below Jackson too often ! I have an ALWELD 18/60 stick steer boat from Alabama ,but I usually have to get a buddy to help me get my boat in and out of the water , when I go. All of those lakes and big long water shed lakes that you fish look really fishy and don't have all that wind and choppy water to deal with. Keep up the work , Thomas !!! throw us a hint every once in a while , so we can go over there in some calm water off the river and fish 2 or 3 days on one of those Oxbows!!! Thanks a lot!!!
