From the start up until Ajo Way, I remember heading home that exact direction when I was a kid. I don't live in that area anymore, but still somewhere in the city.
3:45 love the neat mountain design on that wall on this side of interstate 19 ➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️
Is Phoenix next?
3:08 I never realized that was actually there. I clinched I-19 heading northbound in 2021 and do not remember seeing a sign like that.
I-19 replaced the southern end of US 89 between Tucson and Nogales. US 80-89 north of Tucson is now AZ 79. At least there's a sign to let you know it's measured in kilometres, but the speed limits are in MPH.
I think the speed limits remained in Imperial (US) units for legal reasons. Not a lawyer, though.
OK, Mike, I'll bite: The metric exit ramps are set up for 2 km (1.2 miles) and nothing after that until you are greeted with the "right arrow"...is that correct, sir?
You could try the entire I-19 since that is not too long
Can u do las Vegas please?
Arizona Ron from Tuscon push the Black Yukon..
Given that he’s spent a long time in Northern USA (AKA Canada), he should be accustomed to Metric+Imperial+Freedom Units. I-19 (The Tucson-Nogales Metric Expressway as I’ll call it) was an EXPRESSWAY that was meant for the country to convert to Metric, but then Politics happened & a certain president prevented that from happening.
Ex New Yorker here: There WAS a section of I-90 where the NY State Thruway Authority had installed metric signs in the Syracuse area. Just a test. This was in the early 1980's.
IMHO, the NYS DOT (not the Thruway) should have installed some metric signs on I-87 near the Quebec border. Perhaps a few on I-190 near Niagara Falls.
Its a decent road- kinda boring- the far off view of the mission is cool...
