After watching the Packers last you're utilizing so many different receivers I came to the conclusion that not having a number one receiver is actually an advantage. The defense won't know who to focus on.

I mean, all during the pregame show against the Cowboys, it was "Well, they have Cedee Lamb, so they should easily win this one!" and well...we Packers fan all saw how that went xD
I agree, every game I’m pretty sure that every game had a new leading receiver in each game for the Packers the defenses the Packers played didn’t know which receiver to put their best corner on.
I’d call that the Sterling Sharpe effect. When Sharpe got injured, the Packers got better. Without having 1 guy to focus on, the defenses had to focus on more threats. Having a receiver get a ton of targets just means you don’t have enough weapons to spread the ball around. The Packers best offense was 2011 when they had Driver, Jennings, Jones, Nelson and Cobb at WR. With Finley, Quarless and Crabtree at TE and Starks, Green and Grant at RB. Not to mention John Kuhn at FB. Everyone was a target. The leading receiver was different from week to week.

To me it’s too early yet to determine what Love is. Sure he showed a lot of potential towards the last half. But that’s all it is as of yet, potential. Can’t even really judge by the Dallas game as they always seem to collapse in the playoffs. Now there’s some tape on Love and defenses will be ready for them and Love. Detroit’s defense got much better this past offseason as well with DJ Reader which will make their D line much more potent as he commands a double team and means Hutch won’t be doubled and triple teamed. Reader will also make the corners better as the receivers won’t have as much time to get open and Detroit also got much better at cb and already had a top run stopping D.

Too many times, I’ve seen fandom lead to bias when it comes to rankings … even in my teams’ community. As a Lions fan, I respect the list and approach. Salute! Early last season, I would comment that it pissed me off that GB never really had to go into a rebuild after losing Rodgers; that if their offense were to catch up to their defense they’d be a problem, and lo and behold, by the end of the year, it happened.

NFC North is absolutely stacked. Lions are number one with a roster that’s ready to win a Super Bowl. Packers are number 2 with a roster that’s really good but still “re tooling” at some positions. Bears are 3, with a really talented roster that’s just missing consistency with a rookie QB. Vikings are 4, they have a lot of talent but have some holes to fill and some consistency issues as well. I think the NFC North is a division full of teams no other teams want to see on their schedule.

They’re 1-2 in the league with the Philadelphia eagles run blocking wise (and with kelce retiring the lions may be #1. But if u look at the stats, Green Bay was actually the better pass blocking team. And that was with a 7th rd pick stepping in at LT all year and a passable JRJ at RG. I think arguably green bay has upgraded now with Morgan at LT. So yes with all things equal, the lions advantage at run blocking makes them the better line. But with the pass game certainly being more important in todays nfl, I think u can argue that it’s a pretty small gap overall
