It seems this movie may take some inspiration from Shin Godzilla, in my opinion the best movie where Godzilla is portrayed as an antagonist apart from the 1954 one, especially with the atomic rays coming out of his spikes (we briefly saw a homage in GvK in the close up shots of his tail). That version of Godzilla was also sensitive to extremely cold temperatures, so this could very well be a concept that works here as well. We saw how Godzilla moved quite slowly when fighting Ghidorah in Antarctica, and he often seems to struggle more against opponents that are either physically very large (Mecha Godzilla, Ghidorah) or have some kind of super power that contradicts his own, so Shimu having freeze breath could be interesting. Will he be a greater threat than Ghidorah though? I honestly don't know, if he is really as massive as they say then may be.
