@@KCBhandy OK.... What I said makes sense. Are you from america? Its a figure of speech to say "A bunch of____ Fill in the blank. "A bunch of", means a large quantity. "There were a bunch of Hockey players at the office yelling at the hockey director"..... "We don't make a bunch of soup" OK, I've stooped to an all time low explaining a sentence I used goofing around while showing my new pot
      filler..... sentence.yourdictionary.com/bunch

Are you sure you actually cook? I see several problem with your kitchen.
    1. Texture back splash : how are you going to clean this?
    2. Vent hood is too high: Unless you only boil water. The grease will go everywhere.
    3. Pot filler is not great. Not sure why people have it.

My wife is thai, she cooks shit you can't believe. If you notice there aren't cabinet pulls on the doors so this was early. She cooks at least two meals a day, and I usually cook on it 2-3 times per week. You must be a expert from another planet but I'll try and explain how things work on planet earth. (yes I'm sarcastic but its all in fun, and I see you are a little fiesty questioning if we cook)
#1) That backsplash is very popular, many kitchens have it and the key is to seal it. Since my wife is trying to cook a lot more healthy we don't deep fry much and if we do its on the front burner. Hopefully this doesn't make your head explode, but this isn't rocket science on planet earth, pretty simple stuff....
#2) Vent hoods are typically 28" - 36" that's inches, its an american thing.....(711.2 mm - 914.4 mm in other countries on the 3rd planet) The hood you so proudly deemed too high is 30 inches from the stovetop. It has a very high CFM and sucks more air than any fan I've ever had over a stove and its 36" wide while the stove is just 30" wide....... Kicked the shit out of that one. In america, that's a country on the planet earth that's "hitting it out of the park"
#3) The original location for our kitchen sink was where the stove is. We had old school plumbing from when the house was built in 1956 and when the walls were bare I noticed that I could just tap into the old pipe. To be honest, its about 2 inches too high but it literally cost me $95 USD. (that's United States Dollars) So I ordered it off of this cool website called amazon and got it in one day.
We have been in the house since may 1st and my wife has used it several times making soup, I however use it every singe day because I make coffee and our Keurig is next to the stove. Used to hate filling it now its easy as shit.
Life's a wonder isn't it? (at least on my planet) Hope life's treating you right, happy fourth of July weekend!

I agree pot filler is dumb. Most of the time you want to rinse your pots with water before cooking, as to clean it.
The backsplash is not practical. It looks like dust can easily collect since it's textured.
