I’ve probably watched this video 100 times over the past 3-4 years. The music and the flying are perfect. Probably my most favorite video on UA-cam. I can honestly say this video never gets old to me!!!
I really admire the courage one needs to gather in order to jump in a wingsuit for the first time, I doubt I'd be able to do that with such ease... Though I'd enjoy doing it at least once in my life... Really amazing work, and an amazing video that shows the beauty of wingsuit base jumping. Go adrenaline geeks!
You will live forever by sharing your love for flight with the rest of the world. R.I.P. Shane. May your soul fly the most epic line through the heavens.
Absolutely amazing. I must have watched this video 15 times by now- and the music choice is fantastic. I immediately downloaded the song and have listened to it too many times to count. Nice work!!
Amazing stuff. Is that a slight tear (white spot) in your suit a few inches inboard from the left rear-wing snaps? Or just a a grommet/end of a seam stitch? I noticed it at 3:15
Do you have any control over upward movement at all? In some moments it looks like you're headed in the direction of a wall, but you manage to get over it safely. Do you just determine in advance "yes I can make it over that" and decide to commit to it?
So a question real quick: at around 2:58 you cut real close to a large formation while passing over it. Prior to jumping, have you done all the geometry and calculations to determine that you can in fact clear that structure with whatever run/drop ratios you're working with or is this more a matter of guts and glory?
Excuse me. I didn't mean to bother you but I am an aspiring base jumper and I was wondering what would I have to do to go about learning how to parachute. I've never skydived yet. And is sky diving harder than it looks? Is there any special skill that one might need to have...Thank you.
This is so beautiful, it goes far beyond watching a video of someone gliding trough the air in a wing suit. This goes to show how well adapted Humans are to the planet Earth. We cant fly and we certainly don't have wings, yet using our intelligence we learned how to soar trough the air as the birds do. Such a beautiful example of how life just goes on on this planet. A thousand years ago we could only dream of this; now can you imagine what the future holds? Life can be so beautiful.
Wow, this is so inspirational, I have only skydived once (Though it was a solo jump) and I desperately want to move out and live near the Ramblers drop zone in Esk/Toogoolahwah. My dream was to HALO but now I really want to wingsuit base jump off mountains. Breath taking!
@adrenalinegeeks Hi, i'm 16 years old and i was wondering how i could possibly do this in the future. Do i have to be a certain age, with a certain license? Help would be appreciated! This just looks so fun and i really want to do this before i die of old age.
@UIUCPat you sure can control upward movement! By altering the angle at which your body hits the air, you can alter the angle by a certain amount, it all depends on your speed.
freaking sweet!!!!!!! how many sky dives do you have to do before you can start base jumping over there? i was told around 200...... (only at 30 now though) shibby!
one of the most scary things to do if you ask me... i skydive and i cant see me doing something like this, it just feels like you are too close to hit something at any given time.... kudos for you man, awesome flying
Just curious where this is? looks like Switzerland or Norway? also is this sport hard to get into? if your ever looking for an apprentice give me a shout. :). if not any other help is appreciated. thanks.
i really dont know much about this. but ive seen alot of videos of this and im kinda wondering why they choose to fly along the sides of mountains instead of straight away from it. does it have something to do with minimizing the wind?
im being totally serious but how arnt their more fatalities?? is this really that safe????! im known as the kid who would be most likely to do the crazziest thing in the grade like surf in hurricane irene. reply back please
RIP Shane Murphy. I used to work for Shane when he owned his mortgage company. He was an inspiration for me getting skydive certified. "Everybody dies but not everybody lives." Shane lived the fuck out of life.
@banjo2012 you start with a skydiving club. after about 200 jumps you will get to fly wing suits. base jumps are iligal in meny countrys, so check be4 you do it.
@davidj161 hey mate, where a bouts in australia do you do base jumping? I wanna get my A licence this summer! Is it expensive after you get your licence per jump ? $30-40 ? Cheers!
after i go to college im going to travel around the world for a year and base jump, snowboard in the back country and land a backside rodeo, surf a 20 foot wave and get barreled. thats my ultimate plan to having the best year of my life... any suggestions? what else could I do to get the greatest adrenaline rush =p
@WumbeliBombeli this is one of those things were you kinda just gotta go for it. but you can start by sky diving while your attached to and instructor who pulls the parachute. then try it by yourself. then if you feel comfortable free-falling you can try this
"A" license is what you get once you finish your basic course and complete your jumps. It means you can buy a parachute and start jumping on your own (pay-as-you go for each jump). There are all sorts of training pathways after you've got that basic license. Before going into advanced stuff like BASE or wing you are going to want to MASTER basic skydiving, safety procedures, etc. Which you can if you are dedicated, safe, and wise.
@ColdeyLive I think its mostly for bugs....A bug hitting you're face at 130mph would really tickle. Also maybe for a situation where the parachute didnt fully deploy. Gotta protect the dome
@TheDagga94 The Alps stretch through more countries than one. Most B.A.S.E jumpers are familiar with specific exit points for each area they go to, and tend to stick to these exit points due to the safeness of them. I'm not familiar with lots of exit points in the Alps and as such, it's possible these clips were filmed across different borders. Also, just noticed your username, SUP, DAG?
@adrenalinegeeks I remember there was this one guy who was going to land with a wingsuit without a parachute (sort of flying into this tube thingie above the ground). After his initial tv interview I never really heard anything about the bloke again... Lol
I’ve probably watched this video 100 times over the past 3-4 years. The music and the flying are perfect. Probably my most favorite video on UA-cam. I can honestly say this video never gets old to me!!!
R.I.P Shane Murphy, you lived your life to the MAX. Total Respect. Enjoy your peace.
RIP Shane. Awesome human being.

Everybody dies

Some crazy lines! So awesome!!!
You are the only UA-cam user who deserves to use dubstep in a montage. I tip my hat to you.

Still miss Shane so much. What an awesome guy, talented on so many levels. RIP Shane

@1crow YOU ARE CRAZY!!! the song has epicness written all over it!!!
Wow! What an incredible perspective.

Top notch video.

I wish I could get the chance to do this! Looks unreal!
You guys make me jealous ! This experience must've been amazing man !!!
one of the most scary things to do if you ask me... i skydive and i cant see me doing something like this, it just feels like you are too close to hit something at any given time.... kudos for you man, awesome flying

where is that. how long did it take to plan the path, of the first jump site that was shown? Thank you if you take the time to answer
im being totally serious but how arnt their more fatalities?? is this really that safe????! im known as the kid who would be most likely to do the crazziest thing in the grade like surf in hurricane irene. reply back please
RIP, Shane Murphy :(
Awesome video
Amazing! I really want to try this, How many times must one do normal skydiving and basejumping before this is an option?
RIP Shane Murphy. I used to work for Shane when he owned his mortgage company. He was an inspiration for me getting skydive certified.
"Everybody dies but not everybody lives." Shane lived the fuck out of life.
This is so fucking amazing.
The scattered clouds makes it even more epic.
Sweet! Great flying! God bless!
Oh my god. Your my hero. Always wanted to base jump but havnt been able to even jump out of a plane yet
I went hiking in Europe this summer and that looked like same exact place I was. Please tell me witch country.
what is the name of the song that was here? why is it muted??
it was one of my favorite clips...HELP!
@UIUCPat I think that when the fully extend their arms they gain a slower fall motion that helps them get over obstacles like these .
Would it be possible to fly low to the ground in a wing suit and pull up quickly so you slow down very fast and just land on your feet?
any idea where this was filmed? Looks like Switzerland to me, but im not sure
Where are they base jumping? Because it is just beautiful.
Unreal!!!!....FANTASTIC!!!!
@banjo2012 you start with a skydiving club. after about 200 jumps you will get to fly wing suits. base jumps are iligal in meny countrys, so check be4 you do it.
this song comes up on my pandora station all the time!
DZ= Drop Zone, a small airfield usually in a rural area or outside of town, where people jump. There is usually a school onsite.
this is on my bucket list....i knew one day i would fly..
@davidj161 hey mate, where a bouts in australia do you do base jumping? I wanna get my A licence this summer! Is it expensive after you get your licence per jump ? $30-40 ? Cheers!
RIP Shane, We miss you
AMAZING!!!! It's like a dream come true.
Are you using Phoenix-Fly or TonySuits?
after i go to college im going to travel around the world for a year and base jump, snowboard in the back country and land a backside rodeo, surf a 20 foot wave and get barreled. thats my ultimate plan to having the best year of my life... any suggestions? what else could I do to get the greatest adrenaline rush =p
What song is that, sound's great. And ill stick to sky diving, the wing suits are prone to too much danger.
Awesome movie, theme is brilliant also :D
@WumbeliBombeli this is one of those things were you kinda just gotta go for it. but you can start by sky diving while your attached to and instructor who pulls the parachute. then try it by yourself. then if you feel comfortable free-falling you can try this
@expatatat There are certain routes that most jumpers do follow based on previous jumpers and/or current weather conditions.
Simply amazing. Hats of to you guys.
But how did you get around the problem of your giant balls screwing up your aerodynamics?
great vid, love it! Keep finding new and amazing places! what is the song name and artist. Would be nice if you named them. peace and love
what an amazing soundtrack :P

Of course favourited :O
Thats awesome, must feel like ur accually flying :D
How fast are you going?
@TheDagga94 The Alps stretch through more countries than one.

who sings this song, please tell me the artist and title?
@ddw04 That's cool. I can't wait until such a thing is actually put on the market.
i don't car about the money.
I'm in America is there any company which offers this kind of trip?
thank you

I'm so jealous... This is AWESOME!!!!! :D How does it feel when you fly through a cloud?
btw, what is ur linear speed without considering falling speed?
Just be glad you still have a life. RIP Shane
@adrenalinegeeks how much training or stuff do they teach u???
RIP! You went out doing what you loved.
How do you even train to do this? It doesn't seem like it is possible to practice.
The best video! Write me please where I can buy wingsuit? I want to try it!
3:40 where was that filmed? anyone? Beautiful landscape!!!
how do you stop without faceplanting into the ground?
@adrenalinegeeks I remember there was this one guy who was going to land with a wingsuit without a parachute (sort of flying into this tube thingie above the ground). After his initial tv interview I never really heard anything about the bloke again... Lol
Nice lines Shane!!
