Thanks soo much for your sharing..l lov this....it s one of my dreams to make my own uke....hh...it feels fun....thankss...wishing you and your wife endless happiness....it s a pleasure to meet people like you in th world..
Dear Jason, your ukulele inspired me to to collect together all the ingredients you mention with a view to imitating your expert work, but could you kindly provide me also with the various measurments,? I found your Scripture quote and your hymn a great blessing, too. Yours in Grace, 80 year-old George from Germany.r
Hi George - thank you for your kind comment. For measurements I simply took a tenor ukulele I already owned and measure everything on it. I find each project has slight variations of measurements because these also depend on the size of for example the salad bowl. I buy premade fret boards and then the most important measurement is from the nut to the bridge. for that again I just measure my other ukulele which I know sounds good. hope this helps.
thanks ken - actually last year I stripped off all the peripherals and sanded her down and gave her several coats of nice dark Danish oil - she looks like an expensive violin now.
I know nothing about ukuleles. I do like to watch people build stuff on UA-cam. The question I have is why are the strings not evenly spaced? It looks intentional so I'd like to know the reason.
Thanks for your question. the top two strings are closer on purpose because they are both G strings (low and high) and when making a chord I think of them as one string. so it makes it easier to play. all 5 string ukes are set up this way.
One man should not be allowed to have so much fun!!! :) Thoroughly enjoyed your video. May God continue to bless you wonderful song.
Thanks RC - God bless you too.

WoW! Nice job mate!
What a lovely, blessed song! Could you please give us a link to the words and music? Ukulella (George Ella).
lovely
Nice , you should get a wood burning tool and burn the design into it though , that's what I'm doing with my build.
