Berwick-upon-Tweed Railway Station (11/04/2023)

Here is a selection of clips from my visit to Berwick-upon-Tweed, East Coast Mainline, on April 11th 2023.

Do you know why the 802 at 5.25 is running on diesel under the wires?

The power supply hasn't been upgraded yet to allow the TPE 802s to use the wires north of Alnmouth to Edinburgh.

@@acfbrown1Do you mean to say that the 802s have a higher voltage than the wires there can handle?

@@8r1tK1Dtia Just power supply issues in general. The capacity is there for LNER and Lumo but not TPE. Hopefully there is a plan to sort it soon. I think it's to do with luck of the draw.
