God the nostalgia from watching so many of these live on Twitch years and years ago is something no other game has been able to re-create. The passion from the casters is excellent
Man those times would never be forgotten, i stopped playing 4,5 years ago but if you were really a passionate player, it stays in your heart forever, those memories would never fade away. Just watching and being part of those times from 2014 till 2017,18 that CSGO was special.
Counter Strike is a legendary game... So many games I've played and this one is the only one that I play everyday for 10years (I'm 23) and the passion for this game grows more each day. This is more than just "a game"
As a fan of Astralis since they were called Dignitas, rewatching this reminds me of their history. People often forget the Dignitas/TSM/Questionmark days, where dev1ce, xyp9x and dupreeh would always come up losing in this clutch moments, always choke away a victory. Man we used to lose everything, every time.
I think rains clutch vs envy (9:56) is the best or one of the very best plays in all of csgo because if you watch, every single time rain gets a kill he was anticipating a fight. So what this means is his clutch was 100% aim skill and insane game sense
Before he gets the last kill he checks the mid flank, the game sense right there was amazing... I recently did a clutch myself in this exact position and let me tell you watching pros helps a lot!
It's probably one of the best clutches in terms of game sense we will ever see in this game. He knows what fights he has to take, when and how. He expects two guys vents ( heard the 2nd ), makes sure nobody can kill him with a flank ( from CT and mid ) and just plays it to perfection. It's simply amazing.
Honestly, I think Denis’s pistol ace at 7:05 is the most underrated godlike play of all time. Those first three kills are absolutely insane, probably the best usp ace
We truly didn't know how good we had it back then. God bless this game, players, and these casters. The competitive scene is truly unmatched to anything we've ever experienced.. .
That Happy deagle clip is probably my favorite play+casting combo. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions even though it’s all pretty quick and the baseline hype is high.

It's a lot more difficult to go for clutches now. The meta is just different. It may not be pretty, but it wins you the most games. Though there are some teams that would probably benefit in a more all-out brawl style going for everything, it wouldn't work as well as it used to.
