Lots of people here forgetting that Makima can just stack a bunch of different contract abilities into one attack like she did against the gun devil. That would: 1) make the attack much more complex and force Maho to take multiple turns to adapt if he survives 2) be enough to just one-shot him. Maho only survived Malevolent Shrine because he was already hit with a bunch of dismantles before that and already had active adaptarions against slashes. Makima can make more powerful attacks than the fire arrow, just the gun devil's travel speed caused more damage than that.
I haven't seen an attack from her that would contend against Shrine or the arrow within the series. I won't undermine the possibility of combining contracts, but I'd argue the Uzamaki is a better rendition that doesn't leave the contract holders or devils vulnerable to interference.

How long would it take for him to adapt to a control chain before Makima commands him to stand still and get obliterated by every devil in her arsenal? dude, he's literally immune to slashes and punches. anything the devils throw at him won't do anything besides make him more powerful, and this is with the VERY GENEROUS assumption that makima could even possibly control a shikigami that requires a ritual to control given she couldnt even control someone as weak as reze without beating them first. the more attacks mahoraga takes the faster he adapts, so if makima does as you say shes just commiting suicide

People here really underestimate the Chainsaw Man verse, probably cause unlike most shonen most of the main characters aren't that powerful. That's not the case for Makima though, even just the Gun Devil outscales almost all jjk characters and Makima was able to deal with 20% of that without any trouble (and considering how not-worried she was she would also not have issues with a bigger one). People also forget that Mahoraga needs time and sometimes multiple wheel turns to adapt, especially to complex abilities like most of Makima's toolkit. Makima would first try to control it, assuming she doesn't instantly win she sees the adaptation in action, and then decides it's too dangerous stay alive. Then she just pulls a 1000 year spear or ridiculous contract combo like she did against the Gun Devil to overwhelm it. And all that's ignoring "bang".

I could solo nearly everyone in jjk with a gun if my bullets pierced their cursed energy somehow. Takaba is probably the only guy in jjk who is impossible to kill unless off-guard.
Chainsaw Man's verse is "underestimate" because it really is a weak verse, many of the characters don't have such great feats and normally, the verse is carried by HAX, who aren't even that good. The best HAX in Chainsaw Man are from Makima and Angel Devil, and these HAX aren't even great either. You are also greatly overestimating the Gun Devil. His speed and especially the speed of his bullets are in fact superior to those of many Jujutsu Kaisen characters, but his strength is much inferior, much of the destruction that the Gun Devil caused was due to by the quantity and the speed his bullets traveled and not by his strength. Not to mention that no other Chainsaw Man character scales at the same speed as Gun Devil, not even Makima. The more times Mahoraga is affected by a technique or the longer he is being affected by a technique, the faster he will adapt, considering that Mahoraga will constantly be affected by Makima's control technique, so he will be able to adapt to this technique very quickly. The 1000 Year Spear is not strong enough to hurt Mahoraga, nor are Makima's other abilities, and Mahoraga can easily dodge it.
@LeoGS770 Makima can just add more years to the spear, and she sent Pochita to space with like at max 10 shots, and before you say they aren't powerful because Pochita tanked them.... Pochita fought every primal devil and Horsemen and nearly won according to some of them, even eating part of the War Devil in the fight. He has insane regen and durability, speed, and strength. Makima can just use all of her contracts in one attack, as she can combine them, and she could use the ghost chains to temporarily control/paralyze Mahoraga to set up a big attack like the 1000 year spear or whatever year she wants it to be. She also didn't use everything on Pochita because she loved him or whatever.
Bruh I have so many problems with these makima (or csm in general but she's usually the character in these) v JJK battles and usually it's cus they really fail to understand badic plot points or abilities/ ideas from csm. And while this actually was pretty favourable for her, still gotta say, bro she does not fight like that, she'd dip out using any one of her teleportation abilities and use a myriad of abilities on maho, probably till she realises they don't work, then bfr or something, any straightfoward combat she ever did was only shown during darkness( that was way too pivotal of a fight for her not to be there) or pochita, where she showed up cus she was a fan. Mahoraga is like playing a Soulslike. Everytime you didn't oneshot the enemy, the enemy is about to oneshot you. Makima is just an RPG villain with the power of the script.

Power (Fiend) one shot Choso. She reacted to Gun Devil Fiend bullet at close range, that bullet is faster than any gun bullets in modern era and slightly slower than Gun Devil 20% MACH 1458+ bullets. Choso is Subsonic/+ at best. Power with her brute strength destroyed Cucumber Devil, that's the size of a small building. While Choso couldn't even destroyed things in his fight against Itadori. Choso piercing blood is useless against Power, Power would just dodge it, and if it somehow hit her, she would just break and eat it or throw it away. Mahoraga regeneration is crazy since he healed through on onsault of attacks from sukuna's domain which are amplified cleaves and dismantles with cleave already adapting to the targets cursed energy to deal more damage. Remember if he is continuely exposed to a phenomenon he will just adapt to it instantly if he doesn't die in one hit, so pulling out multiple devil contracts will just give him more things to adapt to till he eventually he adapts to, punches, slashes, stabs, bitten or really anything making most attacks useless.
He only survived the domain because Mahoraga already adapted to slashes. The narrator even mentions that cleave would have killed him if he just adapted to dismantle.

Wheel does act independently, have you even read Sukuna vs Gojo fight? Even unconscious, the wheel still turned and adapted. The sole fact that you can summon wheel alone is enough to show that wheel is independent

Summoning wheel does not prove it is independent. Sukuna used the elephant's ability without summoning it to create a water jet, what part of the elephant would he need to summon that can act independently? Its trunk? Right between his two hands?
Dharmachakra isn't independent of Mahoraga or whoever's using it. Sukuna using it on himself is no different than him using Max Elephant's water by himself. It being able to function while unconscious or while using his technique is a bit more complicated. Basically, when he was unconscious/using Shrine, Dharmachakra wasn't active, it was paused. When it's active, it's white and will turn to adapt to things. When it's paused, it's grayed out and doesn't pause. Sukuna was pausing the wheel to do other stuff. This is the same as Higuruma using Domain Amplification and RCT while keeping the Executioner's Sword active, he was just pausing it to do other stuff.

I think Makima with Angel and prime minister contract is enough to lowkey defeat Mahoraga. Angel Devil Weapons is Versitile and have different set of effects and it can get more powerful the more lifespan you spent on it. (Makima just need to use his Prime minister contract for it) So she have a way to attack Mahoraga in different type of ways and a way to One shot him.

We have to remember though, that it was stated in the Shibuya Arc when Maho was first summoned by Megumi, during Megumi’s explanation of the Ten Shawdows technique to Haturo in order to boost the techniques base power, he states that even though he can include someone in the Subjugation Ritual, it will nullify the subjugation. This is because the possessor of the Ten Shadows Technique is the only one who can Subjugate the shinigami in the Technique, no outside influence can be used to help Subjugate any of them. Sukuna stated this as well, saying he’ll need to defeat Maho as “an outsider” to nullify the ritual. So IMO, I don’t think Makima who be able to control Maho. As the sated in the video the who nature of a Shinigami is to obey its possessor and they are a means to an end. But that’s only in relation to said holder of a shinigami technique.

That was already addressed. Maho can’t even fight makima until adapting to an ability that beats him in 1 shot. Adapting to the prime minister contract will take too long before the ability lands.
Even Ignoring the stuff about makima’s control and and her contract, maho definetly gets destroyed by makima, she has way too many abilities to take out maho with and she could def one shot him with angels power. If none of that works she’ll just send him into space. Also regarding makima controlling maho, she could probably tell him to stop adapting, after all the wheel seems to respond to his will so makima can just change his will to make him not adapt to her.
It's wouldn't work as you need to defeat him and her telling him to not adapt won't work as the wheel will still keep spinning to get rid of the mind control and bang isn't really strong as chainsaw man could take it head on and mahoraga regeneration would help him throughout this battle and most of the devil's like snake devil would be useless as it's just a giant snake and mahoraga gets stronger,faster and more durable and hitting him with the same attack will just help him adapt faster

She's definitely smart enough to do that once she sees the adaptation in action. Honestly the only way I can see Maho winning is if Makima sees him as a possible way to kill Chainsaw Man and tries to subjugate him instead of just killing him. Depends on how much he's adapted by the time she realizes that and how fast he can adapt to her prime minister contract.

Makima simply doesn’t have the ap to kill him and after only a few minutes of any of her moves being used on him they will be useless. Even her ability to transfer damage would be adapted to and either nulfied/ ignored or he uses some ability to kill everything in her contract at once. He also has sukuna’s cursed technique at a low level which he can also adapt so he definitely wins lol

Nah. He wouldn't lay a finger on her even if he successfully adapts to her hole move set because of all the things she can throw at him.
Even if factoring in Maho's Adaptation, I feel like people are vastly underestimating how powerful Makima's abilities are because they aren't all that flashy and haven't been shown off a lot like in JJK Things like the punishment devil, Bangs, hell devil, and so on would smoke maho before he could regen. Maho has shown, at best, small town level durability. Which would put him around the gun devil level being generous. Let's say he does adapt to the contract and even control for that matter. Maho would have a hard time even hitting Makima with her foresight, speed, and teleportation. Makima should be at least fast enough to predict Maho, if not outright blitz him being fast enough to beat the darkness devil, in a quick draw, who dwarfs the gun devil who was able to decimate several countries in five minutes. Moving so fast, pieces of it were burning off, and Makima no-diffed it. Also, Makima's bangs have a higher AP than most of the stuff in JJK, being both strong and fast enough to send Pochita into space with four shots and only four shots. Maho's getting obliterated by that before he can adapt to it if makima goes rapid fire and if not, then the 1,000-year spear will, (which she can easily bump up a few eons if she needs too) if not, the punishment devil will, and if not, then he gets sent to hell. Makima just has waaaay too much shit to throw at Maho for him to adapt to, and Maho doesn't have the time nor durability to adapt to Makima's abilities in order to counter in any meaningful way. And even if he did Makima's precog and speed would make hitting her hell for Maho
Makima sending pochita to space doesn’t prove she has higher AP than anyone in JJK at all especially when you have characters that can survive black holes with their cursed techniques 💀 Makima is not faster than mahoraga who was able to keep up with Gojo during the Gojo vs Sukuna fight and they are both faster than lightning and near relativistic speeds None of her abilities have the firepower to take down mahoraga in one hit except for the 1000 year spear and even that might not work because mahoraga is a shikigami so we don’t know if he truly has a lifespan or not
Mahoraga has kept up with characters like gojo and sukuna so his quite fast and gun devil wasn't destroying countries but city's and most of makima's abilities wouldn't work like mind control and bang wouldn't one shot as chainsaw man wasn't getting turned into 🧀 by that attack and makima wasn't able to dodge the gun devil's bullets even when seeing into the future and mahoraga if kept being attacked and not one shot he can adapt to it faster and most of the devil's makima have can't hurt him or can't one shot him fast enough Mahoraga in space is no problem as he can adapt to being in space and try to come back to earth and speed blitz her
Mahoraga is not getting controlled by Makima for two reasons. The ONLY way to subjugate the shikigami is via the subjugation ritual. That in and of itself nullifies Makima's control ability. The other reason is that power was able to break out of her control through sheer will. We also need to remember that if makima deems herself inferior to her opponent, she has to best them in combat in order to take control of like. (Almost like Mahoraga's subjugation ritual) Based off this fact, we can conclude she saw herself as inferior to the Bomb Devil, as Makima beat her before she was able to use her. To further prove my point, if something doesn't kill Mahoraga, he starts adapting. He's going to be able to adapt to Makima's control and break free even if she was somehow able to control him. Her contract shouldn't be a problem either since Mahoraga can adapt to ANYTHING. The damn thing found a way to adapt to Achilies Paradox (Gojo's Infinity) and cut space itself. That is a physics defying feat. Based off that, I find it hard to believe Mahoraga wouldn't be able to bypass her contract, especially since Deji was able to do it.
The only way to get Mahoraga under the control of a Ten Shadows user is to successfully exorcise. This is specifically referring to the Ten Shadows, not subjugating it in general. That's like if someone had a pocket-world, and as long as they were in it, they're invincible. Then once they left, someone jumped them and was able to injure them because they're no longer invincible. You would see this and think, "That's not how that works! He's supposed to be invincible!" Also, Power never "broke free" from Makima's control, and I don't get why people think that. Makima demanded that Power hand over CHAINSAW MAN, but Power, as far as she knew, was holding DENJI, so she wasn't effected. As for Reze, no, Makima didn't need to best her in combat because one, it was Angel who did most of the work, not Makima, and two, Makima just enjoys killing people. She's a Devil, it's in her nature. She killed Quanxi when she could've just controlled her, as with what remained of her harem. Even Nayuta, who is a different person from Makima and much more human-like, isn't against killing people. She has also used her control power on people before beating them in combat. Another example is Angel, who doesn't feel any innate desire to help people and casually eats corpses. Lastly, you act like Infinity is scientifically impossible to bypass, when it could be finessed around by a multitude of things from just moving with infinite speed to using an attack that can slip between atoms, like a laser. Of course, Mahoraga cut through space to just ignore it. However, I don't see Mahoraga being able to adapt to something as esoteric as Makima's immortality. Infinity is a physical thing, Contracts are concepts.
He would be able to adapt by definition of his power, and infinity isn't physical. Nothing has ever been proven to be infinite physically. First off, nothing you said disproves the fact that Mahoraga could be permanently taken control of by Makima. He adapts to any and all phenomena. It doesn't matter what it is. Once Makima tries that shit, he's going to adapt to it and break free. If it doesn't kill him, he adapts. That's just how it works. Second. You do not understand how Infinity works. It CANNOT be bypassed by simply going at infinite speed or using a laser like you suggested. (That second option doesn't even make sense because if that were true, someone within the jjk verse that knows how infinity works like Kenjaku, who's been fighting and killing six eyes users like Gojo for hundreds of years, or Sukuna, would've done that instead of having to go through roundabout methods like using Domain Amplification and Mahoraga to bypass it) Infinity is not a physical thing, its a concept. You're being slowed down so that you never reach Gojo. Infinity functions the same way an Asymptote in pre calculus does. The graph of a function, will approach a certain value when you take its limit at infinity but it will never actually reach or "touch" that value or point on a graph. Lets say I'm wrong and you're right (which you're not) and that you'd have to move at infinite speed to bypass infinity. That statement in and of itself proves my point that you need to defy physics in order to bypass infinity because it is impossible for anything to move at infinite speed. Moving at that speed is a physics defying feat. Again, the fact that Mahoraga was able to get around a concept that defies the laws of Physics like that means that he'd have no issue getting past Makima's contract. Again Denji was able to do it by simply changing his mindset from killing her as an act of malace to an act of mercy. Mahoraga who adapts to any and all phenomena could do the same. Third. Power DID resist and break Makima's control of her. I'll even give you the damn Chapter numbers so you can see for yourself. Chainsaw Man chapter 90: Makima: "Power be a good girl and hand over chainsaw man. Do it and I won't kill you. I'll let you be my pet again" Power looks up at Makima, Makima stares back, Power looks down in fear. Power: "You're wish is my command. In fact I captured this fool" Power proceeds to hand chainsaw man over. Chainsaw Man Chapter 91: Makima: "Power, put chainsaw man down on the ground. Power?" Power remembers all the good times she had with Denji and DOES NOT put him on the ground. Power: Why did I defy Makima? It can't be more clear than that. Makima gave her TWO seperate commands. The first was to hand chainsaw man over which she was doing. The Second, was for her to put chainsaw man on the ground. She did not do that. She instead ran away with him and was baffled as to why she did that. If Makima could control her in that instance, Power would've put him on the ground. I rest my case

(For all we know, she could just command him to not adapt, but I don't think Mahoraga actually has any control over Dharmachakra so let's not count this) Either way, she'd be able to at least stall him with it as the adaptation isn't instantaneous and it takes a couple hits for him to adapt. Second: Infinity is a physical thing, not a concept. The way Limitless works is that it allows the user to manipulate space at the atomic level. Infinity is simply fucking with space to infinitely slow things. Thus, due to working at the atomic level, something smaller could go through it and hit Gojo. Also, the reason nobody has tried to use a laser is because they're insanely hard to come by. Also, light passes through Infinity anyways so Gojo would literally have to blind himself in order to block a laser, if Infinity can block sub-atomic/non-physical things. And even assuming that Infinity is a concept doesn't physically exist, it still wouldn't mean that Maho was able to bypass a concept, it just found a way to side-step it by technically not going through Infinity and just directly hitting Gojo. Lastly, Power was loyal to Makima to begin with. She would've done as she asked regardless of Makima controlling her, but she chose to ignore her because of her not wanting to just give up someone she cared about. And again, even if Makima did try to control Power, she asked for Chainsaw Man, not Denji. Power only saw Denji in what she was carrying, so she would've ignored it. Also, I've real all of Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, and I read JJK before CSM, so this isn't fan-bias.

Being controlled (which he's already familiar with) wouldn't take him long to adapt to. Especially since Makima's control ability isn't complicated. Again, Infinity is not a physical thing. That would imply that it's a barrier, which it is not. The Series has made this clear. Every time an explanation of barrier techniques comes up, everything BUT Infinity is mentioned and I already explained the mathematical implications for this so im not going to repeat myself. Go look up Achilles Paradox. That's what Infinity is based off. Infinity isn't something you can touch it's a paradox. In theory you can divide the distance between you and an object an infinite amount of times which means you'd never be able to reach said object. You can't touch it therefore it is not physical. Sukuna himself said he had to target space and existence itself to get through Infinity. I don’t agree with this. Yes she has a slew of abilities, but she’s lacking speed and attack potency with a lot of her devils. The snake devil would do nothing at all. He’s not taking a bite lol. Mahoraga can even change his size and crush it. The finger gun is not bypassing his durability, and he adapted to things like negative distance being made and the universe correcting it. Or infinite information being flooded into you. Her abilities are without a doubt getting adapted to. They aren’t even that complicated. She gets blitzed and washed. All she can do is stall.

The part about Mahoraga is that to control him you need to tame him, to tame him you need to defeat him. So Makima's ability is kind of useless. Otherwise Mahoraga would adapt to the taming too, but he doesn't. Why not treat both characters with the respect they deserve?

This fight is complicated. Number one, Mahoraga requires a summoner. If the summoner was controlled it would probably much easier for Makima to control Mahoraga. Number two, defeating Mahoraga in one shot assuming Makima can do such a feat, Because as far as I remember Maho can just phase in and out of shadows to avoid damage (assuming he can do that willingly as an instinct because I had seen that in the Manga Gojo vs Sukuna, Mahoraga grabbed Gojo from the Shadows). Number three, Mahoraga isn't a one-trick pony, plus Maho is brainless. I mean it doesn't strategize lest it's tamed then the user can make Mahoraga strategize. Number four, would Makima even eliminate such a valuable asset to her? I think she would just take control of it, to use it in one her future plans than actually K*ll it. seriously? If mahoraga is not killed with an attack, it starts to adapt, when its finished a adaptation, its resets itself to a state before the attack and contnues adaptation. So any contact would be reversed until they could not take a hold any longer.

Gojo and sukuna had what was necessary but one only managed to kill mahoraga in a domain and the other because the one controlling the shikigami made a mistake.

For anyone wondering mahoraga can adapt to multiple things since in the fight between sukuna and yourozu mahoraga adapted to the perfect sphere then afterward in the fight against gojo he used cleave showing he also had adapted to sukuna's ability. Plus: gojo stated that mahoraga was adapting to rct: red, AND sukuna was using mahoraga to adapt to infinity so he can also adapt to multiple things at the same time meaning makima cant just use 30 diferent abilities because mahoraga will simply adapt to everything eventually. The only real way to defeat mahoraga is to ONE SHOT HIM and not even malevolent shrine was able to do it, even after getting basically erased from existance he just walked through the endless rain of slashes, also if mahoraga adapted to an INFINITE mass sphere how could he be unable to adapt to damage redirection. Rather then the wheel being viewed as a sperate entity it could be viewed as a passive effect that a feature of the shinigami a part of this biology Which in that case would adapt whether or not Makima wanted it to. ( This is likely as its been shown that the Owner of Mahoraga cant control its adaptation. ) For the case above all phenomena encompasses passive effects that might Not be exactly just hostile effects. Mahoraga in anime adapted to move more weight and to repel water.
My opinion Maho wins extreme difficulty since we're putting chainsaw man logic into jjk logic that means makima is a cursed spirit so one hit no matter how big or where the cut is it will one shot her and mahoraga will adapt to all phenomenons and since Makima's contract is a phenomenon it will adapt to it and it take around two rotations to adapt to it so he will need to hit her like 5 times to adapt to the contract but on the first rotation the contract will still be nullified so it would hurt makima more than usual and mahoraga wouldn't be seen lesser than makima and mahoraga's speed, strength and combat speed would all be equal and Maho would be able to dodge most of Makima's attacks and makima wouldn't just immediately use all of her strongest devils ( or cursed spirits) and since devils are cursed spirits Maho would be able to one shot them.
Personally, I don’t think devils should equal cursed spirits. Cursed spirits are made of cursed energy, giving them a weakness to it. Devils aren’t made of energy, they’re made of fleshy stuff. As seen when makima gets hit and brain matter flys out.

Mahoraga needed to go through a domain and several combos of sukunas abilities to adapt in the manga, he just had busted regen. Whereas the anime it's WAY worse as he went through an entire volley of hits before finally adapting.
How does Sukuna outscale CSM when base Quanxi alone outscales him in speed since Curse Naoya at Mach 3 is the fastest in JJK just below Gojo's teleportation? Makima's ability to combo her contracts pretty much instant-killed the Gun Devil, who scales to the Hero of Hell. Sukuna, Gojo, and Mahoraga gets stats-checked so hard its not even funny, and we aren't even talking about Pochita, who solo-ed the Four Horsemen and the Weapons Devil at once.
Nah they are completely different. Curses are legit made of cursed energy, and devils are immortal beings that are the manifestation of human fears. In other words, cursed techniques dont work on devils the way they would work on curses.

This is an untamed Mahoraga, so it takes him longer than the tamed Mahoraga who was able to adapt to infinity and make his own attack against it. The moment Mahoraga starts taking less damage Makima would see what’s going on and order the Devil that did that damage to buy time while shenprrpares her other contracts and weapons to do a 1-shot kill

If Sukuna opened the fight with his domain expansion, instead of using dismantle on Mahoraga allowing it to adapt along the fight, then it would get one shot. Also the regen from nothing is an anime only feat; was never there in the manga.

Lots of people here forgetting that Makima can just stack a bunch of different contract abilities into one attack like she did against the gun devil. That would:
1) make the attack much more complex and force Maho to take multiple turns to adapt if he survives
2) be enough to just one-shot him.
Maho only survived Malevolent Shrine because he was already hit with a bunch of dismantles before that and already had active adaptarions against slashes. Makima can make more powerful attacks than the fire arrow, just the gun devil's travel speed caused more damage than that.

People here really underestimate the Chainsaw Man verse, probably cause unlike most shonen most of the main characters aren't that powerful. That's not the case for Makima though, even just the Gun Devil outscales almost all jjk characters and Makima was able to deal with 20% of that without any trouble (and considering how not-worried she was she would also not have issues with a bigger one).
People also forget that Mahoraga needs time and sometimes multiple wheel turns to adapt, especially to complex abilities like most of Makima's toolkit.
Makima would first try to control it, assuming she doesn't instantly win she sees the adaptation in action, and then decides it's too dangerous stay alive. Then she just pulls a 1000 year spear or ridiculous contract combo like she did against the Gun Devil to overwhelm it. And all that's ignoring "bang".

I could solo nearly everyone in jjk with a gun if my bullets pierced their cursed energy somehow. Takaba is probably the only guy in jjk who is impossible to kill unless off-guard.
Chainsaw Man's verse is "underestimate" because it really is a weak verse, many of the characters don't have such great feats and normally, the verse is carried by HAX, who aren't even that good. The best HAX in Chainsaw Man are from Makima and Angel Devil, and these HAX aren't even great either.
You are also greatly overestimating the Gun Devil. His speed and especially the speed of his bullets are in fact superior to those of many Jujutsu Kaisen characters, but his strength is much inferior, much of the destruction that the Gun Devil caused was due to by the quantity and the speed his bullets traveled and not by his strength.
Not to mention that no other Chainsaw Man character scales at the same speed as Gun Devil, not even Makima.
The more times Mahoraga is affected by a technique or the longer he is being affected by a technique, the faster he will adapt, considering that Mahoraga will constantly be affected by Makima's control technique, so he will be able to adapt to this technique very quickly.
The 1000 Year Spear is not strong enough to hurt Mahoraga, nor are Makima's other abilities, and Mahoraga can easily dodge it.
@LeoGS770 Makima can just add more years to the spear, and she sent Pochita to space with like at max 10 shots, and before you say they aren't powerful because Pochita tanked them.... Pochita fought every primal devil and Horsemen and nearly won according to some of them, even eating part of the War Devil in the fight. He has insane regen and durability, speed, and strength. Makima can just use all of her contracts in one attack, as she can combine them, and she could use the ghost chains to temporarily control/paralyze Mahoraga to set up a big attack like the 1000 year spear or whatever year she wants it to be. She also didn't use everything on Pochita because she loved him or whatever.
Bruh I have so many problems with these makima (or csm in general but she's usually the character in these) v JJK battles and usually it's cus they really fail to understand badic plot points or abilities/ ideas from csm. Mahoraga regeneration is crazy since he healed through on onsault of attacks from sukuna's domain which are amplified cleaves and dismantles with cleave already adapting to the targets cursed energy to deal more damage. Remember if he is continuely exposed to a phenomenon he will just adapt to it instantly if he doesn't die in one hit, so pulling out multiple devil contracts will just give him more things to adapt to till he eventually he adapts to, punches, slashes, stabs, bitten or really anything making most attacks useless.
That was only possible because Mahoraga already adapted to Dismantle and started adapting to slashes/cuts in general.

Dharmachakra isn't independent of Mahoraga or whoever's using it. Sukuna using it on himself is no different than him using Max Elephant's water by himself. It being able to function while unconscious or while using his technique is a bit more complicated.
Basically, when he was unconscious/using Shrine, Dharmachakra wasn't active, it was paused. When it's active, it's white and will turn to adapt to things. When it's paused, it's grayed out and doesn't pause. Sukuna was pausing the wheel to do other stuff. This is the same as Higuruma using Domain Amplification and RCT while keeping the Executioner's Sword active, he was just pausing it to do other stuff.

We have to remember though, that it was stated in the Shibuya Arc when Maho was first summoned by Megumi, during Megumi’s explanation of the Ten Shawdows technique to Haturo in order to boost the techniques base power, he states that even though he can include someone in the Subjugation Ritual, it will nullify the subjugation. This is because the possessor of the Ten Shadows Technique is the only one who can Subjugate the shinigami in the Technique, no outside influence can be used to help Subjugate any of them. Sukuna stated this as well, saying he’ll need to defeat Maho as “an outsider” to nullify the ritual. So IMO, I don’t think Makima who be able to control Maho. As the sated in the video the who nature of a Shinigami is to obey its possessor and they are a means to an end. But that’s only in relation to said holder of a shinigami technique.

Makima doesn't have to keep throwing individual attacks at him. She can combine several contracts into one much stronger attack like she used against the Gun Devil. She's definitely smart enough to do that once she sees the adaptation in action.
Honestly the only way I can see Maho winning is if Makima sees him as a possible way to kill Chainsaw Man and tries to subjugate him instead of just killing him. Depends on how much he's adapted by the time she realizes that and how fast he can adapt to her prime minister contract.

Makima simply doesn’t have the ap to kill him and after only a few minutes of any of her moves being used on him they will be useless. Even her ability to transfer damage would be adapted to and either nulfied/ ignored or he uses some ability to kill everything in her contract at once. Even if factoring in Maho's Adaptation, I feel like people are vastly underestimating how powerful Makima's abilities are because they aren't all that flashy and haven't been shown off a lot like in JJK
Things like the punishment devil, Bangs, hell devil, and so on would smoke maho before he could regen. Maho has shown, at best, small town level durability. Which would put him around the gun devil level being generous.
Let's say he does adapt to the contract and even control for that matter. Maho would have a hard time even hitting Makima with her foresight, speed, and teleportation. Makima should be at least fast enough to predict Maho, if not outright blitz him being fast enough to beat the darkness devil, in a quick draw, who dwarfs the gun devil who was able to decimate several countries in five minutes. Moving so fast, pieces of it were burning off, and Makima no-diffed it.
Also, Makima's bangs have a higher AP than most of the stuff in JJK, being both strong and fast enough to send Pochita into space with four shots and only four shots. Maho's getting obliterated by that before he can adapt to it if makima goes rapid fire and if not, then the 1,000-year spear will, (which she can easily bump up a few eons if she needs too) if not, the punishment devil will, and if not, then he gets sent to hell. Makima just has waaaay too much shit to throw at Maho for him to adapt to, and Maho doesn't have the time nor durability to adapt to Makima's abilities in order to counter in any meaningful way. And even if he did Makima's precog and speed would make hitting her hell for Maho

Mahoraga is not getting controlled by Makima for two reasons. The ONLY way to subjugate the shikigami is via the subjugation ritual. That in and of itself nullifies Makima's control ability. The other reason is that power was able to break out of her control through sheer will. We also need to remember that if makima deems herself inferior to her opponent, she has to best them in combat in order to take control of like. (Almost like Mahoraga's subjugation ritual) Based off this fact, we can conclude she saw herself as inferior to the Bomb Devil, as Makima beat her before she was able to use her.
To further prove my point, if something doesn't kill Mahoraga, he starts adapting. He's going to be able to adapt to Makima's control and break free even if she was somehow able to control him.
Her contract shouldn't be a problem either since Mahoraga can adapt to ANYTHING. The damn thing found a way to adapt to Achilies Paradox (Gojo's Infinity) and cut space itself. That is a physics defying feat. Based off that, I find it hard to believe Mahoraga wouldn't be able to bypass her contract, especially since Deji was able to do it.
The only way to get Mahoraga under the control of a Ten Shadows user is to successfully exorcise.
This is specifically referring to the Ten Shadows, not subjugating it in general. That's like if someone had a pocket-world, and as long as they were in it, they're invincible. Then once they left, someone jumped them and was able to injure them because they're no longer invincible. You would see this and think, "That's not how that works! He's supposed to be invincible!"
Also, Power never "broke free" from Makima's control, and I don't get why people think that. Makima demanded that Power hand over CHAINSAW MAN, but Power, as far as she knew, was holding DENJI, so she wasn't effected.
As for Reze, no, Makima didn't need to best her in combat because one, it was Angel who did most of the work, not Makima, and two, Makima just enjoys killing people. She's a Devil, it's in her nature. She killed Quanxi when she could've just controlled her, as with what remained of her harem. Even Nayuta, who is a different person from Makima and much more human-like, isn't against killing people. She has also used her control power on people before beating them in combat. Another example is Angel, who doesn't feel any innate desire to help people and casually eats corpses.
Lastly, you act like Infinity is scientifically impossible to bypass, when it could be finessed around by a multitude of things from just moving with infinite speed to using an attack that can slip between atoms, like a laser. Of course, Mahoraga cut through space to just ignore it. However, I don't see Mahoraga being able to adapt to something as esoteric as Makima's immortality. Infinity is a physical thing, Contracts are concepts.
He would be able to adapt by definition of his power, and infinity isn't physical. Nothing has ever been proven to be infinite physically. Jesus this is going to be a long one. I doubt you'll even read all of this but regardless, I wouldn't feel right if I didn't respond with evidence and proper counter claims so here goes.
First off, nothing you said disproves the fact that Mahoraga could be permanently taken control of by Makima. He adapts to any and all phenomena. It doesn't matter what it is. Once Makima tries that shit, he's going to adapt to it and break free. If it doesn't kill him, he adapts. That's just how it works.
Second. You do not understand how Infinity works. It CANNOT be bypassed by simply going at infinite speed or using a laser like you suggested. (That second option doesn't even make sense because if that were true, someone within the jjk verse that knows how infinity works like Kenjaku, who's been fighting and killing six eyes users like Gojo for hundreds of years, or Sukuna, would've done that instead of having to go through roundabout methods like using Domain Amplification and Mahoraga to bypass it) Infinity is not a physical thing, its a concept. You're being slowed down so that you never reach Gojo.
Infinity functions the same way an Asymptote in pre calculus does. The graph of a function, will approach a certain value when you take its limit at infinity but it will never actually reach or "touch" that value or point on a graph.
Lets say I'm wrong and you're right (which you're not) and that you'd have to move at infinite speed to bypass infinity. That statement in and of itself proves my point that you need to defy physics in order to bypass infinity because it is impossible for anything to move at infinite speed. Moving at that speed is a physics defying feat. Again, the fact that Mahoraga was able to get around a concept that defies the laws of Physics like that means that he'd have no issue getting past Makima's contract. Again Denji was able to do it by simply changing his mindset from killing her as an act of malace to an act of mercy. Mahoraga who adapts to any and all phenomena could do the same.
Third. Power DID resist and break Makima's control of her. I'll even give you the damn Chapter numbers so you can see for yourself.
Chainsaw Man chapter 90:
Makima: "Power be a good girl and hand over chainsaw man. Do it and I won't kill you. I'll let you be my pet again"
Power looks up at Makima, Makima stares back, Power looks down in fear.
Power: "You're wish is my command. In fact I captured this fool"

Power remembers all the good times she had with Denji and DOES NOT put him on the ground.

It can't be more clear than that. Makima gave her TWO seperate commands. The first was to hand chainsaw man over which she was doing. The Second, was for her to put chainsaw man on the ground. She did not do that. She instead ran away with him and was baffled as to why she did that. If Makima could control her in that instance, Power would've put him on the ground.

(For all we know, she could just command him to not adapt, but I don't think Mahoraga actually has any control over Dharmachakra so let's not count this) Either way, she'd be able to at least stall him with it as the adaptation isn't instantaneous and it takes a couple hits for him to adapt.
Second: Infinity is a physical thing, not a concept. The way Limitless works is that it allows the user to manipulate space at the atomic level. Infinity is simply fucking with space to infinitely slow things. Thus, due to working at the atomic level, something smaller could go through it and hit Gojo. Also, the reason nobody has tried to use a laser is because they're insanely hard to come by. Also, light passes through Infinity anyways so Gojo would literally have to blind himself in order to block a laser, if Infinity can block sub-atomic/non-physical things. And even assuming that Infinity is a concept doesn't physically exist, it still wouldn't mean that Maho was able to bypass a concept, it just found a way to side-step it by technically not going through Infinity and just directly hitting Gojo.
Lastly, Power was loyal to Makima to begin with. She would've done as she asked regardless of Makima controlling her, but she chose to ignore her because of her not wanting to just give up someone she cared about. And again, even if Makima did try to control Power, she asked for Chainsaw Man, not Denji. Power only saw Denji in what she was carrying, so she would've ignored it. Also, I've real all of Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, and I read JJK before CSM, so this isn't fan-bias.

Mahoraga's adaptation speed is based off how complicated the thing he's trying to adapt to is. Being controlled (which he's already familiar with) wouldn't take him long to adapt to. Especially since Makima's control ability isn't complicated.
Again, Infinity is not a physical thing. That would imply that it's a barrier, which it is not. The Series has made this clear. Every time an explanation of barrier techniques comes up, everything BUT Infinity is mentioned and I already explained the mathematical implications for this so im not going to repeat myself. Go look up Achilles Paradox. That's what Infinity is based off. Infinity isn't something you can touch it's a paradox. In theory you can divide the distance between you and an object an infinite amount of times which means you'd never be able to reach said object. While this concept is true, it doesn't work like that in real life because eventually you'd be able to reach the object. Again, "space" in this context is a plane of existence. You can't touch it therefore it is not physical. Sukuna himself said he had to target space and existence itself to get through Infinity. The sentence in your second paragraph doesn't make any god damn sense either. "Side stepping" Infinity? The hell? That just another way of saying to bypass in this context. And again Sukuka said himself, he targeted EXISTENCE ITSELF to get through Infinity. Existence is a concept. Now on to the lasers. You think obscurity is a problem for a series in which someone has a technique that utilizes electro magnetic waves to attack his foes? Or someone that can use throw out a purple orb made of imaginary mass? Kashimo came from a time period that predates Gojo and so did Kenjaku. If lasers were an option, Kenjaku would've figured it out. The existence of the prison realm and the inverted spear of heaven proves my point ad there are only one of those items each.
That whole thing with power is mental gymnastics. I'll say it again. Makima gave power two commands. She obeyed one and disobeyed the second. That means, she was able to Resist Makima's control. Don't try to separate Denji and Chainsaw Man and use that as an argument because that doesn't hold up. That is semantics. They are effectively the same person here. I don’t agree with this. Yes she has a slew of abilities, but she’s lacking speed and attack potency with a lot of her devils. The snake devil would do nothing at all. He’s not taking a bite lol. Mahoraga can even change his size and crush it. The finger gun is not bypassing his durability, and he adapted to things like negative distance being made and the universe correcting it. Or infinite information being flooded into you. Her abilities are without a doubt getting adapted to. They aren’t even that complicated. She gets blitzed and washed. All she can do is stall.

The part about Mahoraga is that to control him you need to tame him, to tame him you need to defeat him. So Makima's ability is kind of useless. Otherwise Mahoraga would adapt to the taming too, but he doesn't. Why not treat both characters with the respect they deserve?

Number one, Mahoraga requires a summoner. If the summoner was controlled it would probably much easier for Makima to control Mahoraga.
Number two, defeating Mahoraga in one shot assuming Makima can do such a feat, Because as far as I remember Maho can just phase in and out of shadows to avoid damage (assuming he can do that willingly as an instinct because I had seen that in the Manga Gojo vs Sukuna, Mahoraga grabbed Gojo from the Shadows).
Number three, Mahoraga isn't a one-trick pony, plus Maho is brainless. I mean it doesn't strategize lest it's tamed then the user can make Mahoraga strategize.
Number four, would Makima even eliminate such a valuable asset to her? I think she would just take control of it, to use it in one her future plans than actually K*ll it. Because Mahoraga is useful... very very useful.

For anyone wondering mahoraga can adapt to multiple things since in the fight between sukuna and yourozu mahoraga adapted to the perfect sphere then afterward in the fight against gojo he used cleave showing he also had adapted to sukuna's ability.
Plus: gojo stated that mahoraga was adapting to rct: red, AND sukuna was using mahoraga to adapt to infinity so he can also adapt to multiple things at the same time meaning makima cant just use 30 diferent abilities because mahoraga will simply adapt to everything eventually.
The only real way to defeat mahoraga is to ONE SHOT HIM and not even malevolent shrine was able to do it, even after getting basically erased from existance he just walked through the endless rain of slashes, also if mahoraga adapted to an INFINITE mass sphere how could he be unable to adapt to damage redirection.

Personally, I don’t think devils should equal cursed spirits. Cursed spirits are made of cursed energy, giving them a weakness to it. Devils aren’t made of energy, they’re made of fleshy stuff. As seen when makima gets hit and brain matter flys out.

If Sukuna opened the fight with his domain expansion, instead of using dismantle on Mahoraga allowing it to adapt along the fight, then it would get one shot. Also the regen from nothing is an anime only feat; was never there in the manga.
