- I wrap up my kx250 shifter kart, and paint it! This was a big task and I am very happy with how it turned out! The paint job was inspired by a "Mansory" Exotic livery. With carbon fiber features and red accents.

Cleanest home built kx250 shifter cart around hands down dont care what people think this thing is sick, super simple chassis design but looks mean, not a ton of metal involved like you absolutely killed this build man it motivates me to make one!

95 pounds! 🤯 bro if you get some fat daddy slicks on that thing a launch would give you whiplash! That motor has to move like 200 pounds on a dirt bike frame. Youd need some slaunchy tires to get grip with that weight/power ratio, cant wait to see what you have in store with this monster of a kart!
Well all together it's around 220 still pretty good . I think a stock kx250 is 230
@@VasilyBuilds thats round about what my kdx weighs, its a 96 so id say youre right. Back then they didnt worry about weight if they could just cram 45hp in it lol my bike is heavy but man it can take a beating haha

Should put those reinforcement gussets on either side of the axle mounts where the motor is pulling on axle I think it would ensure you never having them break or crack
You will love the jump from flux to MIG. I couldn’t believe the difference.

Hey bud you they make a cheap plastic gun for rattle cans. Pressing that button for that amount of paint is ruff. Check local Wal-Mart they have them for sure. Love the two tone paint job.

I have another question I have an 82 Yamaha maxim xj550 and it ran great no problems at all. But one day I ride to work and it was going to be raining so I put my cover on before I went in for work. So after I got off work I noticed that some rain got through my bike cover and it soaked my seat and dropped down near my electronic parts on my bike. I tried to start it and got no spark the engine turns over but won't fire. it seems to be and electrical problem I'm kind of stuck my expertise is in culinary not mechanics i do have my owners manual of you know how to fix old bikes I would greatly appreciate it.

My guy actually takes out the scotch brite pad and does it right like the fact that he's doing this much for one build you kinda wish you be buying this off fb market place but you get stuck with reality of the halfa** ness most people don't take the proper steps props my dude cleaning it with the alcohol
The amout of prep work iv seen him do is more iv seen on car restoration lol

Hey what do you have the steering geometry set to? Im building a yamaha 600 shifter kart and am having trouble getting the right pitches and angles to get my kart to perform correctly .
@@parkerbirch9374 the frame that I started with wasnt built correctly. Super hard to turn and when turning one direction the front end rises alot more then it should. Some of my problem is likely weight distribution issues but id like to think it can be changed to work better then it is now. As of right now the best way to turn is to hammer on the gas.
make one with a cr500 or kx500 2 stroke

Want to spend less time sanding? Take a look at the tube sander from cfutools.com also less chance of flat spotting the tubing. Keep up the good work!
