Just wondering how you are finding traveling in Laos. What you have shown is just beautiful and I’m wondering if you are finding many travelers along with you and if shops and restaurants are generally open or if just a few are reopened yet. Can’t fully tell from what you have shared although I have loved every minute of watching what you have been able to show us. Can you please give me your opinion. Thank you so much for being there and being part of the recovery of our favorite country! ❤❤❤
Thanks for your comment. Laos has had less of a rebound after Covid as compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. My experience there did feel more authentic to me because of that, but the only places I saw many tourists were Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. And even there the number of tourists is still low and not all shops have reopened. Hopefully more and more people start coming back and helping the Lao economy with their tourist dollars.
And also, we most restaurants open in LP and in Vientiane if you went there? I understand that many shops were not open but was wondering if that too applied to restaurants. I really love your videos and thank you for your postings and replies to my questions.
@@620EDA Some restaurants were still closed in Luang Prabang, but there were plenty that were open and hoping for business. I only stopped in Vientiane for a day but many things there seemed to be open. Perhaps because it is less of a tourist destination and had more locals living there through Covid, but that's just a guess. I didn't find much to do there as a tourist so left for Vang Vieng pretty quickly.

Hey Tali, thanks for your message! After Laos there will be a week in Siem Reap Cambodia, two weeks in central Vietnam, two months in Indonesia, two weeks in Malaysia and a couple days in Singapore. You should totally come do some solo travel, there are a lot of us here in Southeast Asia!
