The perks of being "cozy." Somehow, rather than a perfect room temperature, I always prefer it a little too cold and then hunkering down under some blankets.
Nothing like a nice warm cacoon of blankets.
I feel like the satisfied sensation of being cold and layering up is something deep in our genetics since our ancestors dealt with harsh winters for millenia.
Having it somewhat colder than 70 is also better for your respiratory system since it dries out the air less

Since I'm in Florida I love seeing these cold weather videos with ice and snow, very nice.
I sure wouldn't mind some warm Florida sun and saltwater fishing though!
One of the reasons why I left Tampa w the family for Colorado , but definitely miss the clear roads year round!
Im driving from Mobile to Westerville Ohio for training at my job, im going to stay overnight at a truck stop in Nashville in the back of my pick up, and do some of this stuff you do, cant wait.

I’d rather be doing exactly what you’re doing instead of sitting inside of a house, that truck cap camper works perfect 😎👍 nothing better food, movie and snow outside
The only thing that could make it better is a nice wood stove!

Here I thought we got all the snow in Wisconsin I only plowed twice so far this year. Better be careful what I wish for 🤐. Camping, 5 star meal and fishing, sounds like a couple of good days to me.

Definitely enjoy catching up on your vids while I’m out trailer camping. Haven’t found a camper shell for my duramax yet and already had a 5x8 cargo trailer so I insulated it and started heading out! Would have never done it without you and Mav vids, Thanks for the inspiration! Maybe I’ll see you at a campground in the future 🤟🏼

When using a cast iron pan and you find that you need a lid and don’t have one then use some aluminum foil as a cover. That’s what I do when I need a lid when using my cast skillets. Saves space and weight. Great video.
If you had one of those raised camper shells, you would quite literally have THE BEST setup. I know a lot of people don’t like the raised shells, but man that extra headroom would be nice, yeah? Lol
Its a midrise topper, im comfortable at 6 foot tall. Maybe 6-8 more inches in a high rise topper wouldn't do much. I'd love a Four Wheel Campers Project M pop up topper.

Used that Remoji light last night while camping, thing is bright! The magnet was strong to hold it to the curtain rod, I too was afraid it might not but held great. Keep the vids coming!
Winter camping would be a cool date idea. Im not super outdoorsy but im not super not outdoorsy. Lol. I live in New England, so i know what's its like to be cold, and im ok with it. Maybe someday!

Dude you need to grab you a couple of poncho liners”woodbie” Takes up minimal space, lite, AMAZING. Will keep you warm. Love my woodbies, never go camping without them and I use them on my couch everyday.
My type of truck camping
, park at a camp site with a electrical outlet to keep yourself warm all night. Not seeing other people struggling to stay warm in their car or van or truck when they traveling

During your walk it looked like there were downed trees or at least big branches. I suspect finding a spot not directly under a tree might be something to consider. ...ah, you just noticed the trees potentially falling. Not sure what park you are at, but you should go for a hike. Places like NE State Park have some great trails to explore and can get several miles of good hiking.
I think it's great. And beautiful.because it a open area even with all the trees your visible. No chance of BIGFOOT...were the pizza.🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

When I camp in winter with electric hookup, I use an electric blanket ( throw, which is about half size, from wally world ). Covers my feet/legs/up to hips, and is just the right amount of heat. The dog loves laying on it too. I enjoy your vids.
I would have tossed some butter in the cast iron before adding the food. All looks great. I liked your back seat mod too. I did similar in my Nissan truck. Amazing amount of added room getting the seat out of there.
I may add a heated blanket to my gear, I was leaning towards a 12v powered one though for non hookup sites

If you can’t keep it frozen, you can always fix it at home and just reheat it in a skillet.

Oh boy, I always eat dinner before I start watching a film. It is a habit when I used to go to the movies before last year. This is the setup I want to get at some point in the future, I have the money but I want to wait until I can have extra cash in case more money is needed to set up the back of my future pickup.

Great adventure Quady!!... Be carefull with that ozark trail utensil set. The plastic is pretty hard and the fork can break easily. I have broken 3-4 forks over the years. The spoon and knife are fine though.

The pan seems to be big enough to cook Bison steaks, incase you ever get tired of chicken and beef 😄 Nebraska stores probably get them fresh from local Niobrara NWR. Grass-fed animals, very lean and healthy meat.
I love a good bison burger when I fi d them in restaurants, Its never crossed my mind to pick some up

I had to laugh (no slur on you) but when I was young, none of us could afford 4wd so we all learned to maximize the techniques for driving in the snow with rear wheel drive. Believe it or not, if there was less than 10 inches on the ground we all got there (with some exceptions) by helping each other. If you are stubborn enough or stupid enough you can do all kinds of stuff! It's all fun if you let it be. Be safe!

You should think about getting some tinfoil for lids.
that's a good suggestion. I also use a flat stainless steel lid from bed bath beyond that is universal and fits a lot of different size pots and skillets. Is flat so packs away easily.
I think I have tin foil in there somewhere, using it for a lid never crossed my mind
I use a small round, pizza baking pan I got at Walmart for under $10. Great as a plate, cutting board, or pan lid. Or you can bake with it. 😉

They closed campgrounds here for a short time early this year but it didn't last long

@@CrazyQuady melt a big slab of Velveeta in the micro wave and pour hot grits over the cheese. More cheesier the better.....Words can’t describe that kinda good. Especially with fried mullet. (That’s a fish mainly down on the gulf coast)
