I make something similar but use turkey slices instead of ham
I then use two slices of Tomato. Just like you used two slices of cheese

OMG! These are called Monte Cristos! I had this many years ago and haven’t thought about it for a long time, they were served with a little syrup. The ingredients for the filling was ham and Swiss Cheese.

I do recommend that in between dipping the sandwich in the egg and adding extra cheese, take a moment and do yourself a favour and dial for an ambulance. It'll save you precious moments when your clutching for breath....
