There's something really disconcerting about seeing Jez *mostly* aware of what he's doing in a raid without Datto yelling at him ;)
Crota's End is easily my favorite raid, and my first one at that. I loved my Nechrochasm and I miss it dearly.
After doing it every week for a year, I never got the exotic component to drop for me, but its dropped for the 40 people I did it with through that year lol never had necrochasm feels bad

@@trickytreyperfected1482 yes. only way you can get it to drop randomly I think for Kings Fall, with Black Spindle. I could be wrong though
I still remember when I soloed it for the first time back when I was playing on a ps3.
I think somewhere, deep in Bungie's server farm, a light is blinking to signify that someone was using Young Wolf's Howl in a raid.
That light has never turned on before.
I'm just glad someone said "Cro-tate". That's what I came here for.
Ahh, the memories. We didn't know it at the time but this was Bungies first Dungeon.
the opening TTS message sent me through all the stages of grief and activated my flight or fight response with the deadpan tangent on buttholes.
Wymmm Crota's End is my favorite D1 raid. Well...mostly for nostalgia..

@@camcicero947 I mean sure it's easy by always enjoyed the laughs when going through lamps and having to kill ir yut before her song ends, being sword bearer is also pretty fun. But sure it's definitely nowhere as complex as the raids nowadays, and the only reason why I like it is because of the good times.

If reworked, it could most certainly function as one pretty well. As I see it, I imagine CE inspired the concept of dungeons
the deathsingers challenge is actually pretty challenging and crota is an iconic fight, good memories
People say the Crota fight is easy, but it's insane how many times my fireteams have debunked that.

They were atleast more entertaining than any D2 original raid. Haven't had a single ounce of wanting to replay D2 raids. But I'll happily replay d1 raids

I never got to play crota end as I didn't have many friends to play with at that time. Now I got the weekly raid night, oh how times change.

I actually really loved the aesthetics of this raid. Especially that first thrall run from lantern to lantern, culminating in a last stand to build the bridge so you can run off in to the light. So cool.
But also, I look at it NOW, and all I can think about is how absolutely FUCKED the enemies in these encounters would be with our current day kits. All those thrall in the first encounter would be VERY exploded with Trinity Ghoul or Void 3.0 shenanigans :p
Okay but crota's end is probably my second favourite raid ever. Soloing it was soooo fun

I used to solo the first bit with sunbreaker and dark drinker, because no one wanted to do that part then they would join on me.
I can't count how many completions I did on Crota's End and to this day NEVER got the Black Hammer.
The Datto Guide music was perfect 😂
This brings back so many unpleasant memories. I used to solo this raid three times every week on Hard in all of it's glitched glory to get the Crux of Crota. And it never dropped. Wasn't until they changed Crux to a guaranteed drop that I finally got it.

There are strikes with more complex mechanics than the Crota fight... but it's still fun!
I hope they restructure Crota's End to be a dungeon in D2 following the supposed release of King's Fall later this yr. Would definitely fit the 3-man sub-raid quality if reworked

@@SoFloTransplant bungo has said that their general schedule is new Raid with big dlc, season after that is a new dungeon, 6 months after dlc is a released/remastered raid like VOG, then another dungeon prior to big dlc. Kings fall makes sense as it fits with Witch Queen/Taken King parallels

Worst Raid? No. Easiest to solo? Yes. This raid gave use the best legendary rocket launcher and the Black Hammer/ Spindle sniper rifle. Great loot in it's prime.
