Never actually been around these though I’ve been passed them many times, especially Cutacre, I definitely need to visit these once I’ve A) fixed my long lens, not exactly a wildlife lens, or camera for that matter ( Fuji Xt3 and the older model XC 50-230mm ), it’s all I’ve got besides film cameras, & B) got rid of this Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot and make sure the fracture in my left is fully healed.
These really do look like lovely places, well worth a visit, even if only taking my dog for a walk.

I got a good few Robins early in the year but Starlings I get by the hundreds. Not really up on birds names but I have had the odd Dunnock now and then. I live right in the centre of Horwich so it gets a bit noisy and as I’m literally just behind the main road ( Lee Lane if you know Horwich ) it can get very busy, especially when the schools finish.

Great stuff. This year we had Robins, blackbirds, dunnock, house sparrows, chaffinches, gold finches, blue tits, great tits, starlings on our feeders within the hour. In other years we have also had coal tits, greenfinch, collared doves, wood pigeon, long tailed tits, and on other occasions brambling, pheasant, magpie, Jay......and things like redwing and fieldfare in the hedge. Loads of others on occasion also.We have even had stonechats on once in a harsh winter, and also, believd I or not a bee eater which made the County list a few years back. I live on the edge of a village surrounded by farmland. Very lucky bird rich environment. I feed the birds all year and have a good native hedge around the garden, as well as a pond which really helps.

Sounds like the perfect spot to birdwatch, that's an amazing selection of birds! I'm especially jealous of the Jays and Bramblings, they're my favourite birds! I don't think I'll be able to get that selection near me but I'll be trying my best to get as many in as I can :)
