Take a relaxing trip with me down Borsdane Wood. Borsdane is my local woodland and I spend a lot of time surrounding myself with the amazing wildlife and nature here. When I first started my wildlife photography hobby, I would frequently visit Borsdane and has had an important role in sparking my love for wildlife. This is my first attempt at showcasing this incredible space and I'll be bringin...

60 for 60 Challenge - Ep1: Mere Sands Wood
Another species we see fewer of these days. Always a pleasure to see and these clips are beautiful
Excellent. The pink footed geese always put on a good show.
I have just discovered your channel, amazing camerawork and presenting. Simply had to subscribe for more!
Loved the Bass Rock video, heartwarming to see the recovery of the Gannets after the dreadful AI outbreak of the previous year.
Beautiful film of these spectacular birds.Thank for sharing with us. I've enjoyed your trip to Scotland. Been to see the Norfolk Osprey today.
Beautiful videography and a perfect relaxing & inspiring watch for a Sunday morning.
This was a great and wholesome watch. Very well captured. I enjoyed it a lot. I wish I was on a trip like this one!
Great stuff, I love the cairngorms too, but never seen that many red squirrels there
Love your approach to tape it, new subb🎉
I got a good few Robins early in the year but Starlings I get by the hundreds. Not really up on birds names but I have had the odd Dunnock now and then. I live right in the centre of Horwich so it gets a bit noisy and as I’m literally just behind the main road ( Lee Lane if you know Horwich ) it can get very busy, especially when the schools finish.
Never actually been around these though I’ve been passed them many times, especially Cutacre, I definitely need to visit these once I’ve A) fixed my long lens, not exactly a wildlife lens, or camera for that matter ( Fuji Xt3 and the older model XC 50-230mm ), it’s all I’ve got besides film cameras, & B) got rid of this Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot and make sure the fracture in my left is fully healed. These really do look like lovely places, well worth a visit, even if only taking my dog for a walk.
Hi Alex, just came across your channel n my feed, though I’m not a wildlife photographer I do like to take photos of birds, Squirrels, Deers etc when I’m out walking around my local area or even in my garden. I heard you say you live in Bolton I believe, I’m in Horwich myself but from Manchester, been here 17 years as my wife is a local born and bred. Enjoyed the video and look forward to catching up on your others over time.
Really enjoyed this longer video.
Thank you! I'll definitely try to keep the longer content coming 👍
Great video! I love Carrbridge. Great Red Squirrel and Highland Moo shots 👍
I really loved Carrbridge as well. The woods there are some of my favourites I've ever visited.
wow!!!
Excellent stuff, look forward to part 2 :)
We really enjoyed our visit to Loch Garten. Smashing place! Your sedge warbler photo is knock out!
Loch Garten is a stunning place! I hope I can showcase its beauty in part two 😃 Thank you, I'm quite pleased with it as well. I could have stayed all day taking pictures of them.
Love your simple approach to wildlife photography. Much more enjoyable than being in a hide looking at a carefully staged perch where all you need to do is sit and wait.
I much prefer it as well! I enjoy exploring the habitats and surroundings where the wildlife live. It makes it more exciting when you see something.
We go to Rutter Falls for Red Squirrels not a lot more there but lovely
I'll have to check it out next time I head up that way. I've never seen Red Squirrels in Cumbria but there seems to be quite a few. I luckily saw plenty when I got to Scotland but you'll be able to see for yourself in Part Two 😁
Nice ❤❤❤
That was a great little adventure, thank you for that !
Like it ! Great little journey
A beautiful place! Thank you for sharing it.

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Big Like 130
Great video. I'll watch part 2 later :)
I really enjoyed that and I've been birdwatching a good few years. You should keep this channel up as I have a feeling you will be successful. Good luck with your channel. I've been to Norfolk loads of times and I bumped into those seals accidentally the first time I visited Horsey Gap. I love Norfolk and I must get back there for a break.
Really nice video. I just came back yesterday after visiting the exact same places. Such a beautiful place to enjoy an abundance of nature and you captured it very well!
Thank you for this video. I've not been able to get to Cley or Horsey for a while, and it was great to see them looking so good.
Great to see the seals in good shape. Awesome footage. The harrier were beautiful too. Greets Stefan
Great video Alex, love Norfolk myself, heading back in March for another visit, taking in Sculthorpe for the first time.
Just gorgeous Great music choice to accompany your photography such a joy to watch! Denise :)
Absolutely beautiful photography , many thanks for perservering the cold !. Also really appreciate you naming all the different lovely birds. Norfolk is a lovely county. Cheers from the Canadian prairies , we have -30 today I am feeding our balcony birds several times a day ! Denise :)
Thank you very much Denise 😄
So many great shots but I'm most jealous of the Barn Owl (never seen one in the wild) so cool. What equipment do you use?
I use a Panasonic GH5 with a 150-600mm Sigma lens. I got the GH5 mainly for video work but it has done a great job at photography!
@@a.j.critchwildlife Thanks!
Amazing filming and photography, thanks Alex for sharing! I am not very good at identifying my birdlife 😬 wonderful shots, must be incredibly rewarding and peaceful to have that interaction with wildlife in their habitat 😌🙏
Thank you very much. I'm still not very good at identifying wildlife, it takes a while to get good at it haha
Beautiful shots with great narration. Keep it up mate!
Thank you very much :)
Great Vlog, loved it. We’re you were on like a concrete step, was that far from the Horsey gap car park
It wasn't far from the car park at all, it was just down the steps after a 2-3 minute walk to the right once you're at the top of the dune.
Fantastic, I take it you were there in February or January, and that’s why you could get on the beach. I’ve seen lots of other video’s where there were wardens stopping you going on the beach. But that was November or December
@@alunlambert7456 It was thankfully the first day the beach had been opened up again, I was extremely lucky! There were still a few pups so I was surprised they'd opened it back up so soon.
Thank you for adding the names to identify the different species. A well done and beautiful video.
Appreciated Robert! 😀
well done young man some great work and nice to see you using Lumix great camera's
Well Done, inspiring. Lovely images and well presented. I hope you inspire many more people to visit Norfolk & East Anglia for the Wildlife ?!? :-)
Thank you very much 😃
Brilliant and Well Done. From a Chester Lad, who has known East Anglia 43 years !?! :-) I hope you have many many more good wildlife trips to Norfolk & East Anglia and inspire many others to visit !?! :-)
Such a great video! The seas are sooo cute
I like the seas too
@@a.j.critchwildlifehaha you know what I meant! :’)
