- It always feels great to get back to my old stomping grounds! I grew up near this river where you can find absolutely beautiful agatized coral geodes. I have always been amazed that these are literally a fossil and a gem/mineral all in one! I can't help but imagine this area being a shallow coral reef 25 million years ago bustling with life. When I was very young my father was stationed at MacDill. We found all sorts of beautiful and historical items while he was stationed there.

kyle, what about cutting some of the smaller fragments down to rounds or ovals for pendants, wrapping in silver or gold bands framing them inside... just an afterthought guys. Enjoy watching all your vids

Hey Kyle! First off just wanted to say I have watched every agatized coral video you and Chris (Paleo Chris 😉) have. I love yall and your passion for the stuff, which I too share. I'm still trying to find good spots and I'm sure it will come in time. But I was wondering if you could give me any tips or videos on how to get the stain off of some of my pieces that have been algaefied by the algae monsters 👻 lol let me know if you have any suggestions man and thank you for all your positivity and inspiration!!

They all look amazing. From Minnesota so we don’t get those but we do have agets. Some day I will make my way down that way.
One of my cousins got me into rocks, minerals and gems. She literally has a huge room with display cases filled with all she has collected from ceiling to floor. I have a lot of rough and have instructed my son that when I pass, don't throw the rocks away as some are valuable. Will give him something to do researching.
