In the 1/8 track class they have 3 types of wheels for their foam tires: Light, flex and stiff. Nice to see the 1/8 GT class starting to go similair route.
I just picked up my 1st set, they do look a lot nicer. But my set was definitely not balanced, i think 1 of 4 was. The rest were more unbalanced than the US treasury checkbook! 😄 Hopefully they hold up well on my speedruns up to 130s.
@@Liberty.Francis totally false again.. do your homework/ research bro those tires been in the 160’s 150’s.. easy it’s the people NOT the tires, they weren’t the problem
@@ldsams1 They have been in the 140s and 150s. Rarely in the 160s... I say safe at 130 and below. You can go faster but there is a higher risk. Look at Tony's comment under this video. The really fast guys wont risk running rubber tires at high speeds. James McCoy went through $900 worth of GRP tires 2 seasons ago and said the failure rate over 150mph was over 50% of the time. If you think he does not know anything.... that says something.
I just purchased these from eBay, but I'm now noticing it doesn't say belted for the ones I ordered...it says GTJ03 XM3... Did I order the same u have?? Thanks

I'm glad to see they've improved their tires a bit, but I still don't miss GRPs.
Yep not ideal for the speeds you run.
Awesome review brother as always.
Thanks man
Just received a set myself.
They are about 10grams heavier than the originals.

So far they seem solid... no issues on my car
They blow around 125 at most. Solid Tyre but 130s might be pushing them a bit too far. Best wishes tho, love to hear the results of your run.
Great review lib
Thanks man
Nice wheel tire combo! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎉🎉🎉👍👍
Has a better look I think.
Heck yea. Getting myself some
They seem good so far on the work bench
Kenny took those tires (the old ones) over that mph a hundred times.. and did it on the same set a lot of his runs
Agreed, but always considered a risk over 130mph when compared to foams.
I'm still running the set I got from Kenny on the kyosho nothing wrong them them one bit 💯💯💯

Hello bro, I make created tires last than hoons 3 times. 150mph + and drift no problems. Let me know if you want
what tires? how much ?
So what balancer is that? If you’re mentioned it in the video then never mind (still watching)
This one is no longer sold but you can search for 1/8 tire balancer. I think JConcepts has one and some no name ones on eBay.
Nice video bud. What are the hex sizes on these?
Standard for 1/8 and 1/7 GT cars - 17mm hex
Good afternoon sir how did the power hobby tires work on the balancer
Never checked those as I had no plans to take those over 70mph
Would these be right for a truggy?
Usually yes.
Assuming it has 17mm wheel hex. I have run these on a Arrma kraton 6s
Will these wheels be good on my typhone 6s? Or will they be too soft? Thanks
@@andrataylor6070 yep grps are probably the best rubber tire option. Just sometimes needs the bead glued with bob smith industries ic2000 glue
Ok .Thank You...@@Liberty.Francis

@@andrataylor6070 yeah all the GRPs are belted.
Did you make the balancer??
No it's made by Dynamite. They sell it on Amain
17mm hex?
Yes sir
Watching the baby huh! 😁
Probably 90% of my videos are shot during the baby's naps
Is this fit for 1/8 kyosho superten fw04?
Probably if it uses a 17mm wheel hex. I don't own a kyosho
Send link please
www.google.com Search GRP tires. Hobby heros is a big distributor but they didnt have the J-hard wheel. I had to buy these on eBay.
