This video is from a year and a half ago. At the time there was a few of us battling for the world's fastest on 2s and 3s. You still won't find many people giving away their gearing and motor KV in the top 5 spots on a leader board. Knowing parts to do it is one thing. Actually doing it and going 130+ on 3s with a 1/7 scale is still hard to do.

@@Liberty.Francis Got that just hard to believe based on the info you have in the Video. What size motor and KV and what prop are you running?

​​@@AdamEverythingRC most of the details are in the description except for the motor kv. I believe this prop was 42mm and 1.9 p Look through my videos you will see where I run a mono hull and compare 3 different lipos with these onyx packs out performing the others.

@@AdamEverythingRC it does with a high KV. Not really a secret... That is the only way to get the RPMs high necessary for those speeds. I just won't give away the KV though.

@@Takeover738 I ended up finding another gear that was smaller and fit better but can't remember now what brand it was. I sold this project about a year or more ago.

I just purchased these from eBay, but I'm now noticing it doesn't say belted for the ones I ordered...it says GTJ03 XM3... Did I order the same u have?? Thanks

@@six12rcguy75 other video had the original vte2 mount. This is the PPS mount for the VTE2

I totally get it... The great thing about the hobby is everyone likes different things. Otherwise we would all have the same color boat. Speed is all I am interested in. Doing laps does nothing for me. I do start my videos after the taping because it's annoying to watch.

I tried several times vacuum bagging and resin infusion both. Terrible experience with those methods. I will stick with wet layup.

The motor is a Leopard 58mm 1340kv. The motor mount was from a company that is no longer making Rc parts. This video is from 5+ years ago

The rudder picks up water while it's moving and it cools the electronics. I only have the water cooling plumbed to the motor right now.

@@budgoblue6625 not that I am aware of. Riggers are the fastest boats.

They do some sort of treatment before they drain the water into local rivers. Whatever the treatment is it clears the cloudy water. It looks even more clear today.

The total usable section is 810 ft. I could pull off this run in 500ft. Boats accelerate very quickly and slow down very quickly too.

@@KBASHRC I have enjoyed it. No traffic to worry about. Only potential issues are turtles and fishermen. Much more goes into tuning the weight balance and prop lift behavior/angle of attack. Happy to help you get started when you get to that point

@@KBASHRCmy local pond is 1/2 mile saltwater. It’s not enough distance for me to get much over 100mph in a dual castle 2200 promarine cat. That was with hydra 240’s, might be different with current setups.
