Have you chosen a car yet? Have you decided if you’ll use the Holley set?
@@CJLeTeff Yep Holley efi is the plan. I'm planning on the RX8 for the chassis but will make a custom body for it.
You still hide your build??!?😂😂😂😂 no need to act like a child. Going fast isn’t a secret anymore man. High KV motor and a Castle ESC. There you go. Simple as. 1:1 gearing. Who cares.
This video is from a year and a half ago. At the time there was a few of us battling for the world's fastest on 2s and 3s. You still won't find many people giving away their gearing and motor KV in the top 5 spots on a leader board. Knowing parts to do it is one thing. Actually doing it and going 130+ on 3s with a 1/7 scale is still hard to do.
Nice video! Will this work on the AK 747 model? Thanks in advance.
@@145. Not sure but probably very similar
I'm doing a very similar setup. LQ4 with an LS3 top end package. Rectangle port heads, stage 3 summit cam, LS3 intake, and 92mm throttle body. All ran on a Holly Teminator I haven't
@@crw3673 same plan for mine except for the cam model. Good luck with your build! 👍
What's the part number on it?
@@diraltmcallister3523 this video is 10 years old. No way to get part numbers off it now...
Sorry but if you look when you take out the battery pack you can see how thick the pack is and i don't believe that is a 3Cell and the heat shrink looks to be not factory never saw dull factory heat shrink before. sorry not buying
@@AdamEverythingRC I have no reason to lie about it .. the boat did 95 on 4s
@@Liberty.Francis Got that just hard to believe based on the info you have in the Video. What size motor and KV and what prop are you running?
@@AdamEverythingRC most of the details are in the description except for the motor kv. I believe this prop was 42mm and 1.9 p Look through my videos you will see where I run a mono hull and compare 3 different lipos with these onyx packs out performing the others.
@@Liberty.Francis The math does not add up but ok if it makes you happy but i'm still not drinking the cool aid
@@AdamEverythingRC it does with a high KV. Not really a secret... That is the only way to get the RPMs high necessary for those speeds. I just won't give away the KV though.
I'm about to return some gears I bought on Amazon I should of just went with what you recommended. The gear was to wide motor mount won't even line up with screw holes. I also couldn't use it as pinion gear the new adjustable motor mount has a small opening and it was rubbing
@@Takeover738 I ended up finding another gear that was smaller and fit better but can't remember now what brand it was. I sold this project about a year or more ago.

@@kebakuzari909 something like that. Pretty crazy for a basic Honda motor....

Okay so is the PPS motor mount better

@Liberty.Francis I'm not really into speed runs I just love to watch I drag race my RC cars I'm waiting on my 787 right now hopefully it's supposed to come tomorrow so I'm building a drag 787
Any cogging with this sensored combo?. Sounds ideal for my mojave exb build. Love the app features.

Hobao is my top favourite, because always looking good quality, and well engineered. The hardest thing in engineering is to simplify the parts without compromising the strength.

Had to double check that this wasn't on a certain 1st day of a month that comes 4th in the year..... and, appears not to be- I encounter this issue so much- mainly due to my stupiditty of not learning my lessen of taking alazy way to strip more wire if i'd not done enough, being; using the soldering iron to melt the plastic/ whattever coating, which spreads it on the wire in a melted fashion....most times, not allowing the solder to do it's thing...i thought it'd been my solderring skills dimminishing- since most all times i can solder no prb. But, today yoou've blessed me with this knowledge and understandig of what needs done.... many thanks!
@@paranoidzkitszo glad this video helped you.
Nice build and run brother
Thanks, it has been 85 now
Straight line only, I have one as well…. Everyone seems to be obsessed with top end only…makes for boring one and done videos… spend too much time watching folks taping up hulls! IMHO: riggers are primarily heat racing boats…reason I say this is that ur too talented for just speed runs
I totally get it... The great thing about the hobby is everyone likes different things. Otherwise we would all have the same color boat. Speed is all I am interested in. Doing laps does nothing for me. I do start my videos after the taping because it's annoying to watch.
Your a pro!🏁🏁🏁
Place it into a vacuum bag to form it. You don’t even need an expensive vacuum pump. You can achieve this by just a space saver bag and a hose hold vacuum or shop vac. Wet resin and than vacuum for shape. But if you purchase real Kevlar/armid fabric it will form just like the carbon fiber fabric does. Might not be as many color options for that
I tried several times vacuum bagging and resin infusion both. Terrible experience with those methods. I will stick with wet layup.
Hey bro, good video. What kind of motor mount is that, and where can i get
The motor is a Leopard 58mm 1340kv. The motor mount was from a company that is no longer making Rc parts. This video is from 5+ years ago
Great run! 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
FWIW- have ur camera person ZOOM IN and FOLLOW in on the boat so we see ride attitude No fun watching a spec
I tried to have my son do that but he's terrible at it 😂
Very nice! I just built a kraton xl and bought this max 6 set up on sale. Wondering what pinion your running? I have the 6s backflips and a 20t pinion I was going to start off with.
Yep 20t should be good
Sweet! I love that road too! ❤
That’s how you do it!
oh wow! How fast did it go?
That is a damn big boat. Proves that the battery makes a difference. Appreciate the knowledge my friend!
🤯 I had no idea this existed and I’m impressed. Great choice on the paint scheme. Lib. You are next level.
Baby was screaming
Holy crap. 🤯
It has 100+ in it. The lipo is that nice SMC I mentioned.
I watched the no lift challenge. It’s a shrimper skiff? Holy moly
@@budgoblue6625 yeah those shrimp riggers are ultra cheap. These zippkits riggers are considerably better built.
That thing ripped like a Tesla Plaid. Riding the tail! Love the sound of the prop.
God I love RC car porn. I’ve watched this 5 times. It’s ridiculously fast.
Lol thanks! Check out the 4s run. It's faster
Moving out boi! Sounded great
Thanks man! I hit 94 mph on 4s with it with a smaller prop. It should go 100+ with a clean run
@Liberty.Francis 100+ all day long, keep at it brother 💪
Looks like he hub is out of balance, one side looks heavy to Me.
Agreed. I focused only on the blades. So many areas to check... I'm still learning :)
Holy 10mm, that's an ass hauler

That’s one way to land it! 😂😂😂
Just going my part to trim the weeds 😁
What the yellow tube for Lib!
The rudder picks up water while it's moving and it cools the electronics. I only have the water cooling plumbed to the motor right now.
Almost ready for liftoff. Time to build a pond ramp.
New place u move?
Yeah we moved to Tennessee in January
Nice good for u my friend
What kind of speed are you thinking? 😮
My new build in shooting for 130+
I can’t wait to see that in the water. Those boats are fast. Do they make a faster style? Good stuff brother!
@@budgoblue6625 not that I am aware of. Riggers are the fastest boats.
If that’s the same pond as usual it sure cleared up.
They do some sort of treatment before they drain the water into local rivers. Whatever the treatment is it clears the cloudy water. It looks even more clear today.
@@Liberty.Francis oh! It looks super clear in the middle like one of those waterfall tables!
Very cool..takes built, not bought to the next level. Curious on distance needed for that speed.great 4s speed for water
The total usable section is 810 ft. I could pull off this run in 500ft. Boats accelerate very quickly and slow down very quickly too.
@@Liberty.Francis been wanting to do a boat for couple years..curious what lakes around me an distance I would need..thanks brother
@@KBASHRC I have enjoyed it. No traffic to worry about. Only potential issues are turtles and fishermen. Much more goes into tuning the weight balance and prop lift behavior/angle of attack. Happy to help you get started when you get to that point
@@KBASHRCmy local pond is 1/2 mile saltwater. It’s not enough distance for me to get much over 100mph in a dual castle 2200 promarine cat. That was with hydra 240’s, might be different with current setups.

Thanks CJ. She has a little bit more in her. Should crack 100 mph hopefully.
You definitely ain't gotta worry bout her guessing your phone pin. Unless she watches this video.... I do love the truck, definitely faster than the stock system.
Lol ya
Nice clean pass Lib! Is this your neighborhood?
Yes this is a few mins walk from my house so I just take the red wagon.
Nice job 💪
Thanks! I think it's still running too wet. Probably has more speed in it
I’ll never get tired of this……
this is insane it's somehow so much faster than a 2zz celica
This is pro tuned on kpro. Making approx 205 wheel hp versus something like 160 out of a 2zz
@@Liberty.Francis i was thinking this probably isnt stock, 205 to the wheels is crazy
All the wholes on the middle of the chassis are intended for motor mount positioning. There are 2 positions for fitting the motor infront and 1 for back. The reason ur gear hits the chassis is because you have the motor mount aligned on front motor mount screws when it’s reversed and you want the motor at the back
