As I always say. Floor can sing like an angel, growl like a demon, and do everything in between. She's awesome. If you want to hear other women who can growl like this check out Tatiana Shmayluk in her band, Jinjer and their song Pisces. There is also Alissa White-Gluz in the band, Arch Enemy - Handshake With Hell. Those two are a nice start into the world of harsh vocals, but there are many more.

I don't know if somebody already mentioned it but Floor is married to Hannes van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish band Sabaton. Their songs are all about real events that happened in wars and battles through the ages or people who played a role in them. They do a lot of research for their songs. As Christmas is nearing I like to mention two songs of them. First "Christmas Truce", a very emotional song of something that happened in WW1 and the 2nd is "No Bullets Fly", the ANIMATED video, also very emotional from WWII. Sabaton have their own History Channel on YT, with background info about a lot of their songs. I"m pretty sure you'll like it. So please...check them out!
And for more Christmas feelings....Every year in Finland they have Heavy Christmas Metal concerts. In 2016 Floor, 6 months pregnant, sang this song in Finnish! So lovely! Floor Jansen Raskasta Joulua "Oi Jouluyó" the official Live Video. Enjoy! Greetings from The Netherlands!
It was her all along and she did that beautiful clean siren singing in the middle too lol. Floor is special there are very few singers (there are?lol ) who can sing so beautifully with a clean voice and even an operatic voice and then growl too.

Yes, the growling was all Floor, she is one of the very, very few singers who can change from opera, to growl, to rock, to clean almost seamless.

Those are false-fold growls. The true vocal chords are not involved.

Well done for noticing who's doing what. Even some pro singers miss Floor being the growler here. In hindsight its really obvious Marko sings the melody in the chorus. But preconceived notions are powerful ... you do not expect singer like Floor go for the deepest, harshest growl. Not unless you have previously heard some of the singers who have such a wide rsnge of expression in their vocal toolbox.
