A few years ago I started with my old Canon 60d, a cheap 24mm and 50mm prime. Learnt about shooting RAW and editing with my iPad and a free software called Snapseed. My advice would be not to get to sucked in to the most expensive gear we all see reviewed , fine if you can afford it , great images can still be created with reasonable price gear.

I never understood the want for new gear on the consummer level, you pay the early adopter fee and something will always release that surpasses it with in the year.

Never thought about camera inserts, thank you! I am new to photography and needed a portable way to carry without screaming “hey theres camera gear in here” while also being able to hold other day to day items. This will suit all my needs 👊👊👊

I have a Leica Q2. The bag I use is a small Peak Design bag. It holds my camera, light meter, 2 batteries, spare memory card, lens filets, battery charger brick.

I liked your last tip about saving favorites. I'll have to start doing that.

Nothing beats "Windows Photo Gallery". So good they don't even make it any more.

f-stop Gear Harney Black is awesome for your GR1. It attaches to the GR1 molle webbing and the zippers line up perfectly with the backpack. It is also a good carry solution on its own if you don’t need the extra capacity of the backpack. My Bellingham gets surely more style points, but is also bigger and heavier.

I enjoyed watching your video. Very helpful information. I have a camera bag insert as well and it comes in handy with so many bags.

I'm with you with every single bit. I wish I knew all of this earlier on. In addition: using a sling bag and a hand cuff works best for me.

I got a 35mm 1.4 for my first camera and quickly started to look att telephoto and wider lenses. Then I found my dads old lenses for film cameras and ordered a adapter so now I have pretty much all the focal lenths I want! Now I just have to learn to manual focus... Luckily my camera has focus peaking!

As a professional sports photographer, I’ve stopped processing raw files several years ago. The Jpegs are so good that I only process those files. I just shoot raw as a back up to the jpegs.

Re: 12:30 I got this quick release lanyard as well and did a quick light tug and it broke immediately, I wouldn't trust that system, the strings and connection are too flimsy.

Yes.. that's more than sufficient.. don't buy anything more..u won't need even GoPro as stabilization in this is absolutely great. Try to shoot raw if u need to colourgrade later. It's perfect mobile for content creation. Just see good microphone like hollyland M1 or DJI mic 2.
